Bring back the Year over Year comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who's idea was it to remove such an important feature (yes - i know it appeared at the very end before submitting, but it's helpful to have it while doing taxes).
It was harder to find some items such as pension splitting optimizer. The search bar never works.

Hard to Use
Not an easy package to use! Data entry is not very intuitive (especially when entering any foreign currency). Also very hard to work out how some numbers are calculated, to facilitate checking back to supporting documents.

The price has risen to Minimum of 50 dollars!!!
entering information was I feel preferred by picking form and entering data as required. Its different and I knew where I was with the original program. I works....

Turbo tax was a nightmare
in 2024 Turbo tax was a nightmare. I have used it for years but this year it was awful. I wish there were another online product i could use.

Requiring Premium for T4PS is over priced.
While TurboTax is very simple to use, I am very disappointed that because we have a T4PS form for a very small amount I have to pay $50 a return instead of it being free. I will be looking for other options for next year.

CONFUSING
I have been using TurboTax for over a decade, and this year, the new interface is extremely confusing when filing a combined return. The process is no longer linear.

Ease of use
I found it very hard to go in after complete and look at what I wanted. For example, I was not able to see the summary that compared the year before to this year no matter what I tried. I found it easier to use other years. Also, It's getting expensive.

Thoroughly Adequate
TurboTax did what I needed it to as my taxes are now filed with the CRA. If it wasn't for the fact that we had used it in years past, I would try a different service provider.
There have been no marginal or material improvements to the interface or system over the years.
Some minor examples: Several prompts refer to changes that happened dating back nearly a decade in CRA practices and simple actions (like dismissing warnings for things that are easily identifiable from the data provided) have to be done multiple times. Every year I also have to go through the same warnings or tax saving "suggestions" of things we do not qualify for as a family.
The lack of effort from TurboTax with an increasing price tag is embarrassing.

Terrible updates from prior year
The removal of menus makes it very difficult to maneuver between sections of the return. Will use another method next year if they do not return to previous layout.

Meh
not a great service, nothing is written in plain english. Doesn't capture information well from T2800 slips from Wealthsimple. All in all, kind of a dumb system built by mediocre engineers. Maybe you should increase your engineering budgets.

Unhappy with this year's changes
It's easy to start one's taxes in TurboTax 2024 but difficult to go back and look at entries or make changes after the form is complete. There used to be a dropdown menu that you could click to get back to any previous input page. This is gone and it's impossible to get back to some pages. Very frustrating to the point that I may not use TurboTax next year.

New interface is poor
This year was a very frustrating experience. I was not able to go back to previous sections to makes corrections. The FAQ and chat were of no help whatsoever. I eventually found out that there should be options available that weren't being displayed so I changed my browser from Firefox to Chrome and that's when I saw the option to click on this year's tax return on the left hand side.

buggy and hard to use compared to previous years
Downloading data from the CRA only partially worked unlike last year. Had to enter in all my slips manually. Also, the new interface is confusing when doing your taxes with a partner, as sometimes it is a separate screen per person, but some items are done for both. It is not always clear. Having to claim 1 very small capital gain required buying a more expensive version of Turbo Tax than I normally do. Not really worth all the extra money for such a small amount of money, it was 1 screen and maybe 6 fields I ended up filling in just to have access to that screen.

Poor swiching between forms
The help search for Quebec form (Releve) is poor.It is increasingly difficult to switch back and forth between forms. It is impossible to view dependants returns without closing current return. It is difficult to input values directly into return to evaluate possible effects. The trend with turbotax is to hide more and more details in the background. Very Disappointed
This years online version was not very user friendly.
It mistakenly used my RRSP contribution limit as my contribution and it was very hard to change.
It automatically set up my wife for a Canada Caregiver credit and I was unable to change this.
I would like it better if Intuit provided access to the actual CRA forms, as in the past, so any changes are easy to make.

Time to Find a Better Product
This used to be the best product available at a very reasonable cost but no longer. The program itself has become very difficult to move around in and you are constantly bombarded with 'upgrading' proposals at additional cost. I did not pay for this program to be inundated with upgrading offers. The cost of this program has skyrocketed and from my point of view they have priced themselves out of the market. There are much cheaper alternatives available for simple tax returns.

Buggy this year
I have used Turbo Tax for about a decade.
I liked the older version better in some ways as you had more control. This seems like a slimmed down/easier version which is fine but when I got an error message on the netfile, it cost me a lot of time to try and figure out the error. Looks like a bug from the community posts and no real resolution after several weeks.... No impressed.

Navigation frustrating this year
I've been using TT for years. This year, I found the navigation between sections of the return really frustrating. There used to be a navigation menu on the left and that is gone this year. I'm using Edge.

TurboTax Online frustrating
TurboTax Online not user friendly, and is frustrating. Cannot use tax forms to review or correct data. From tax summary screens, cannot click on a line/amount to access detailed information. During final review, cannot directly access problems to correct. Forced to go through step-by-step for everything. Time-consuming.

Upgrade Scam
The screen kept appearing that said, “To accurately complete your taxes, you need to upgrade.” I upgraded once believing the program only to realize after it told me this again that it was a scam and I could not down grade my package unless I started over. The first time I went from “Do it yourself Deluxe” to “Do it yourself Premium”. But I realized it was a scam after it told me I needed to upgrade to “Do it yourself Self-Employed”. I don’t have self employment income…why would I NEED to upgrade!!

Less helpful than before
Turbo Tax used to be an easy to use system in which it was easy to find instructions on use, locate forms and check the work I had done in filling in various forms. This year the help system is unhelpful, finding forms is very difficult and the whole experience was frustrating. The software that was easy and straight forward has become increasingly complex and difficult to use and I will probably use another provider in future. This is sad, since Turbo Tax has been my favourite for many years and I've recommended it to many friends in the past.

Worst ever been using for20 years
Very glitchy this year had manually input t slips for my wife. It kept putting her tSlips under my name.

The sum of box 52 and box 53 must equal the total capital gain or loss in box 21 of your T3 slip. Please review your imported data.
The numbers did in fact balance
It is a known error on the TT end. Very frustrating. could not NETFILE because of it

Useless customer help

Way too many problems with the software this year. In the past, the product was reliable, although becoming somewhat expensive. This year there were ongoing problems with certain forms (T3 and Sale of Principal Residence). What took 2 hours in the past took 3-4 days this years....ongoing checking if the software issues were resolved and forms released. Disappointed this year.

extra fees
in my 2024 return, I had small amount of bank interest not reported on a T-5. I asked for the basic return (around $21 fee) but I had to upgrade to the DELUXE version at an increased fee of $40...not happy with that

Disappointed This Year
After using the CD version for several years, I only saw Online Version with no CD included. It was not as easy to use, go back and review.
I got an error message that did not allow me to file. Tech support told me, just wait and check every few days if the glitch is fixed. I tried daily for over a week. Finally allowed me to file after 21/2 weeks. (waiting for a refund). Although I have been very happy in the past, if this year is an indicator or future, I will look at other options. I was told, I could take back my "online version to the store I purchased it at" and buy a Desktop version I was not aware was available but after waiting for the glitch to be fixed, I could not return.

dissappointed
purchased and then found out no CD now. Tried several times and purchase code would not accept. I purchased again online so I could get taxreturn completed. So I paid twice. Also online version now does not give me option to complete forms myself. Do not like the change at all. Much better with the CD. I had used CD version for several years and loved it. Now will consider purchasing a competitor if they have a CD
