this should be FREE
i got to pay $45 to file my very very basic taxes. i am unbelievably unhappy with getting charged for a basic return, AND they have the nerve to charge me taxes on top of it.

Very frustrating product
I tried the free version. Went to submit and it wouldn't do it. Didn't tell me why. Needed to purchase a version. Purchased a version and tried to submit again. Would not work. Trust issue I believe but could get no assistance from TurboTax about this. They could not find my account. Went back in and it wanted me to purchase another version. Got no help from anyone that knew anything

The Long and Blinding Road
started filing at 1:19 pm finished at 4:00 pm I still couldn't enter 2 sections that would have given me a big return. But I suspect even paying the $90 expert fee I'd be unhappy. I'll pass next year.

Abosute scam.
The company FORCES you to pay for premium at a 10$ up charge for filing a T5. And if you filer with your spouse, even if only 1 of you has a T5, they force you to pay the extra 10$ on both filings.
F this company, and their scammy dark pattern tactics.

Disappointed in this programme this year. Pages should match the pages in the CRA Income Tax Package which would make it easier to complete .If the programme is upgraded I hope it will be an improvement .

Ripped off
Purchased turbotax at Staples. Picked up the wrong version, which was exactly the same price as the right version. Staples refuses to take it back because it was open. Intuit refuses to refund the purchase price because I did not keep the receipt AND required payment of $90.40 before they would process my return. Have used turbotax for years but feel totally ripped off.

Easy to file but too expensive
I purchased a TurboTax Premier license in 2022 from a 3rd party vendor who had stated that the license was good for 12 returns. I did not realize that it was 12 returns within only the year of purchase (this info was conveniently left out until you purchased the product). After a bit of searching, there are other competitors who offer better prices for the services that I need. I will be switching next year

Disappointing
First of all you took a T3 form which was included last year and charge an extra 40 dollars to. Secondly you made it more difficult to use. Last year the three taxes were included but this year you charged extra. I am not a happy customer.

Waste of money
Print out my return for filing, then I realize, before mailing it, I made errors. But I can't correct them, and nobody to help me! Total waste of money spent. Never again! Terrible software, I should be able to go back and edit and make corrections!

buyer beware
IT DIDN'T AUTOMATICALLY OPEN THE CURRENT YEAR TAX FORM. I COMPLETED AND PAID FOR MY TAXES WITHOUT PROMPTS AND HAD TO REDO AND REPAY FOR THE CORRECT YEAR. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME.

Money Grab
As much as I love the sofware and have been using it for numerous years, I simply file taxes myself without the use of any help but the way TurboTax sets up the software, they make it so you want to spend money. I ended up spending money because I added a package by accident through my first file but there's no way to remove or cancel the package. I ended up wasting my time to re-do my file and payed more attenetion to not add any packages just to get to the end and it says i have to pay for my file. I didn't use any of the add-ons but I feel defeated that this program basically made me spend money while wasting my time. I am most likely going to do research on better tax return programs that won't make so much effort to take your money. Don;t get me wrong, I love TurboTax and it's ease of use, and for people that want help it's great but I feel like it is hard trying to use the program without spending money.

Could be a lot better.
This was the first time I have used the online product. It was very frustrating being a retired accountant who has done hundreds of tax returns. The lack of warning and or explanation on T5008 that were imported from CRA about Foreign Exchange was brutal. Not be able to access the schedules made it very frustrating as I wanted to see how these transactions were handled by the software. Had to do it manually, what a waste of time. Could certainly of done a paper copy a lot faster.

Poor functionality
This is really only for the most basic of returns. I found that the software had glitches. I for example could not edit slips even though there is an edit button and it appears to work but when you return to the return the new information is not there. Since you can't really see what it is doing with your information, I have no confidence it is right. Been using the computer version for more than 15 years but this was awful

Coercion by confusion
I chose the free plan MULTIPLE TIMES and, after you endlessly pushed your insanely pricey "premium" tiers (and I said no every time), I ended up being FORCED to pay $15 for a regular-seeming product. Apparently the "free" plan is only for promotion and doesn't actually exist! This seems to get worse every year. I would rather scratch my next tax declaration with my nails into a chalkboard than use your product again.

Very Dissapointed
Very disappointed. I purchased a deluxe return package. Which I was not able to use due to turbo tax forcing me to upgrade to premier so that I could claim 46 cents of earned interest on a savings account. Will not be using turbo tax again. Upset with this up selling tactic.
