Absolutely annoyed with this version
Been using Turbo Tax since their first release. Always purchased with the cd. I made a mistake when I purchased the box from Costco thinking it had a cd in it. It did not but was online. The product online is TERRIBLE. No help tips and nothing like the CD version. Will look for another tax return product next year. No option to save the income tax files onto my own drive. GRRRRRRRRR !!!!

Forced to Ugrade
Why were we forced to upgrade to the $60 self-employed package just because we are renting out our basement? Worse still, when we tried to file as a couple, it was going to charge us $120 despite just one person reporting the rental income. It is a total rip-off!

Very confusing
I've been using TurboTax for years. This year it appears that it has been made very difficult to return to information already input. Instead, you keep getting the suggestion to upgrade to receive assistance. Won't be buying again.

My return never got filed
I paid the Trubo Tax fee and had my 2021 return filed through Turbo Taxand it was never filed. And when I tried to have this investigated, no one would return my emails or calls.

App crashed continually
What happened to your app. I've been a customer for years. Never a problem. This year, the app crashed continually. Between 14-15 times I was kicked out and forced to login again. That wasn't the worst part.... each time it lost between 1-3 screens of data I had already input. What a pain. I doubt I will ever use this product again.

Terrible design of non taxable transfer of wealth
I spent a few weeks trying to figure out how to make the software deal with an inheritance from my late spouse, which Turbotax thought was taxable. I called the help desk. They made my taxes due rise from $45K to $200K, neither of which was correct. I stopped talking to them after a very fraught 90 minutes, in which they stopped talking to me out of rage, and I solved it my self using desperate misery as my incentive. I got $3700 back.

Buggy Software
I made a mistake thinking I qualified common law with my partner for 2022. I inputted the info then upon realizing my error changed everything back to single. Went through all the steps paid for the product and then when I went to netfile it says it can't because I have spousal information while single. There is no way to delete that information you need to do a whole new return. So I ended up paying twice to do my taxes. Highly disappointed that you can't correct mistakes when you are paying for something.

Force to upgrade
I have used turbo tax exclusively for several years and I’ve gotten familiar with using it for my specific needs.
This year you decided to REQUIRE an upgrade for a return that includes capital gains, even though I have claimed capital gains in the past without being REQUIRED to upgrade, as long as I had figured out how to claim it properly.
In addition, I was REQUIRED to upgrade my spouse’s return because I was filing both together, even though their return did not include any capital gains.
I am very disappointed that I was not given an option to use the standard product, it would have been a simple matter to merely suggest upgrading for additional assistance, rather than REQUIRING that I now pay double to use this product in exactly the same way I have for years.
I feel strongly enough about this that I will consider using alternative tax filing software in the future.
I hope you will consider changing your policy about REQUIRING an upgrade in future versions.

the COVID related help shows information for 2020, and the tax year was for 2022. Is this still relevant?

why is there no forms method for online version
My mistake, assumed the version sold at Costco was the usual download version. WRONG. I did not realize that the online version only uses walkthrough NOT forms method. It was very tedious answering the questions and not being able to see the forms etc was annoying. Will not buy this version again.

Online version turbo tax
The online version is very different from the download version and you cannot toggle between the input screens and the tax forms. I find this very unfriendly from a user perspective.

Excessive advertising and prompts to upgrade
I have used this product for many years and it seems to get worse each passing year. There are waaaaaaaay too many advert's and prompts to upgrade that are intrusive and confusing. As well, this year there were numerous checkboxes automatically checked based on my previous years returns that were no longer relevant for my current tax year, and it was difficult to figure out how to uncheck these boxes as they were often hidden in the background.

Long time user very disappointed this year.
I have used Turbotax over 10 years and have always been very happy with it. This year was terrible. Firstly I used the internet based program last year and purchased the downloadable version this year. Did not think it would be a problem but I could not import my data from last year to my downloadable version this year. I ended up using the internet version and had to pay for it even after I already purchased the down load version. I did the taxed using both versions and the result were vastly different.
Makes me question the reliability of both version.

Just do my taxes. I do not want "expert" help. I do not want to be asked 300,000,000,000 times. It would be nice, if you would occasionally simply shut up, and simply do my taxes. Try being less complicated. Try being less pushy. Try asking for less money.

Nickel and Dimed to Death
Do not use this product, as it seems for the 2021 tax year Intuit has chose to make money off upgrades, rather than good service. This product would be great for people that love to interrupted by constant money grabs. If only there were other viable options, I would gladly use them.

Frustrated
Longtime Turbotax user. Product has gone downhill. CRA download was incomplete. The amount of screens you have to work through wasted time and versus entering into the forms. Deluxe version no longer handles standard investments and forced to upgrade to Premium.
