It didn't file and I couldn't continue
My filing simply said "in progress" and I was given no option to continue forward. The filling never went through, and had to call support to get it sent. Now have to pay 9% late interest charge on amount owing as a result. Would not recommend.

2018 Turbo errors
Been using TT for a few years. In 2018 major calculation errors where made in my return which thousand of dollars is own to me as I should be paying. No way to correct the error & I was charged twice for sending 2 returns .How to get my money back!

Poor notice of filing
I have used this product for 15 years consistently. I filed my return and my spouse return this year before the deadline. I was then alerted by the CRA that my return did not show up by the deadline. After spending time on the phone today with customer service, I learned the returns were not filed. Even though I paid the money, received a thank you message and downloaded my completed returns, they were not filed using Netfile. No message was provided to me that they weren’t filed. I thought I was done. Again I have used this product for 15 years. My advice is TurboTax should have an BIG message that indicates whether you have filed or. It in your summary. I completely thought everything was filed and taken care of!!

Software bugs and rude agents
Software bug put me in infinite loop of "cannot netfile for revenu quebec because of errors with employment expenses"...but i was not claiming employment expenses.
The call center agent was RUDE and UNHELPFUL.

Too many commercials
there are too many commercials inside the program. Whilst completing the return, TurboTax partners push their products like crazy. It is very difficult to use this program to file tax returns. This year, the number of obtrusive ads were particularly bad. Not sure why it was set up like this. Didn't see it last year?

Disappointing
The on-line version is very unfriendly not allowing users to see the return until payed for after it's filed.
There was no space to enter all stock transactions.
I was charged for both my wife's and my returns. For the last 20 years, I bought the package and it included multiple returns, so, I see it, that you're ripping your clients off and taking advantage of their confusion.
Why, you even CHARGE FOR HELP!!!
Disgusting.
But what can I do, I'm captive, and have to use TT next year for continuity.

Very difficult to navigate
It was very difficult to understand where to go to fix errors, and in fact I did not realise errors were made until I submitted-problems with capital gains calculated from T5008s.

No matter how fast I read and worked I timed out more times than I can count! It was ridiculous! I WILL NOT!!!!!! be using this product again! I emigrated from Canadan in 2018 and I need to mail a long version to the CRA but the software will not allow me to print it (without the "duplicate not for filing") written across it. Also will not allow me to input my address so I have to handwrite it?

Terrible experience
The system kept freezing, I had to log out and start over. I wanted to fill statements for both my wife and I, and I had to purchase the package twice. Now I have to seek a refund, and haven't found ANYWHERE how to contact you. The only reason to use your product is that you handle non-resident taxes. Otherwise, free softwares are far better.

far from perfect
I paid a significant amount for a family tax return. At the end I was not able to use NETFILE also on the printed form I did not see the direct deposit information.
For me English is a 2nd language and I find it hard to interpret the legal texts and questions. Maybe it is good for a citizen, but not for me.

Unimpressed
I don't know what happened to the 2017 update but my tax return did not make it to the CRA even though I followed all of the steps. I was also charged twice for TurboTax even though my review never went through to Netfile. Thoroughly frustrated and never using this software again.

Looking For an Alternative Next Year
Previously I purchased the version with a disk but that option did not exist this year so I after reading the boxes I purchased the std version and received a code.
1) you need to complete the entire return before you can enter your code.
2) if you have more than a simple return it will automatically upgrade you the next version.
3) after entering code because of the mandatory upgrade you need to pay more
4) Charged tax again on the purchase upgrade
5) need to keep the code to be used for every other return after the first

Not happy at all
I have been using TurboTax for years and have mostly been happy. This is the first year I needed help with the program as it was not calculating data correctly. After troubleshooting with support I had to submit my files to them for further investigation. It took weeks for them to return it to me on top of the time it had already taken for them to get to the point that they decided I needed to submit it. When they returned it they had deleted information not related to the problem! On a separate frustrating complaint, the full amount of my prepayment was not applied!! I Will be switching companies next year.

Disappointed with Online
I have been very pleased with TurboTax for many years using a CD version. This year I tried the Online and was very disappointed by the lack of clear instructions and some errors that even an agent at Revenue Canada as well as the first on-line consultant could not figure out. Finally, a second TT agent with help from a superior saw the error which was and probably is a misleading indication that share information on the T3 and T5 forms was not being saved as indicated. To actually save the date, requires opening a second page. Not user friendly at all. Considerable amount of data input and not saved without warning is not appreciated!!!!!

bad software
after I started to use this I went to the post office counter at the drug store to get the paper version because turbo tax was so bad but they didn't have any so I had to struggle through with this software. I'l be 70 years old this year so I have been doing my taxes for 53 years. I,m a retired computer technician, I have written database software programs myself. The problems are not me, its this terrible software.

Premier Online Version very bad
Terminal loss could not be entered as per CRA instructions. We can only hope the tax dept is familiar with Turbotax inadequacies and will not audit us. Previous versions were adequate, this appears to be a flaw in present versions of Turbotax. Overriding false entries inserted improperly through easy step no longer possible?

Very Disappointed
2nd year doing taxes on an IMAC. Incredibly difficult to move around the tax form. Difficult to find and open 2013 year form to get line by line information. Prior to 2013 always used a windows based Turbotax. Windows version was very easy to use. 2014 is a horrible experience.

Problems
1. The .net file did not work, despite repeated attempts.
2. After entering a number of medical receipts, it would have been nice if your program identified which 12-month cycle would reward me with the most benefits.
3. I had more t-slips then were asked for. It would have been nice for you to explain the pull down feature.
4. It is not as intuitive as one might hope for.

navigation horrible

Oversharged
