Turbo Tax Premier

Easy to use and very helpful
TurboTax Permier was easy to use and when I got stuck I was able to use the help feature to get me through any problems. I highly recommend this to anyone filing from home.

I have been using the Intuit tax preparation programs for many years. This program is simple to use and if you use the step-by-step option, there is no way you can go wrong. Thank you Intuit, for helping me prepare mine and others' income tax returns so easily. This year I purchased the Turbo Tax Suite so I could have the updated version of Quicken....

Pretty Good Programme
We've been using Quick Tax / Turbo Tax for over
15 years. It was really handy when we were both working in the city, as well as running a Red Angus Ranch and a Consulting Firm at the same time.
When we sold the farm[ before we bought the farm } and shut done the consulltling business , the
programme was a great help. We've been telling friends for years that they should use the package,
BUT a lot of them are older and are reluctant to switch from their ' old buddy ' the accountant.
However, we have convicced a few to try it, and
'they like it'.

No Brainer
I have been preparing my own income taxes for years and have used a number of programs. I find Turbo Tax to be just that, the quickest easiest way to get your taxes done and filed. There is no reason for anyone to pay to have their personal taxes done, especially if they have a simple return. I will continue to use Turbo Tax.

Confident Returns
I always feel confident that my TAX returns are done properly with TurboTax. The comprehensive input questions and ease of moving from EasyStep to forms allows the flexibility to be more thorough. It takes me less than 30 minutes to complete my taxes.

Excellent with a few minor changes
The software continues to provide an excellent and easy format for completing and filing taxes. A couple of minor changes could be made. My son is only 18 as clearly noted by the birth information given in the personal info section and is single. I find it a bit silly that your software asks him questions at the end of filing in the review section that only pertain to individuals 19 and older and asks him to respond to questions that only pertain to married or common law individuals. Seems like a waste of time to me. These are minor issues but would seem to be simple fixes based on comparison to the personal information given. Minimally the software could pre-fill the responses to these sections and then just ask users to review to make sure there are no changes or errors in personal info.
Please note in your 'tell other customers about yourself' section below the prepared answers for 'Prior Tax Prep Method' does not allow for a response that states 'have used Turbotax for several years'.

Excellent Program!
This year (2011 Return) is the 2nd year that I used Turbo Tax and it has proven again to be user-friendly! I had used Quick Tax for more than 10 years prior to Turbo Tax replacing Quick Tax.
I am more than satisfied with both softwares and recommend the use of it to others.
One request I have is the possibility to be able to print at any time during the process of input of data prior to completion, just for personal use, rather than moving repeatedly from form to form to form.

Questuins on Income
Preperation is a little confusing if you have both Emplyment Income (in my case Income from Stock Options) and Pension Income (CPP) . If You mark "Yes" to Employment Income prep doesn't let you mark "Yes" for CPP benefits>

Turbo Tax
I have used Turbo Tax and its predecessors for as long as they have been available and would recommend this product as the easiest and most complete tax preparation software I have come across in the 40 years I have been preparing tax returns.

Unnecessarily Difficult to use
In an apparent effort to be dummy proof, the program will not allow any copying or shortcuts, even when I am entering 50 or more almost identical entries, and is thus painfully slow to use. It also does not appear fully on the screen no matter what setting I use, so that I have to scroll left and right with almost every entry. It is reliable, but is becoming increasingly wasteful of my time, so I will likely use another program next year.

OK, but......
I find TurboTax to be a great product to help prepare annual tax filings and I've been using it for many years. However this year I struggled with entering information from T5103 tax slips. There were boxes on the slip that were not available in TurboTax.
