Your overall product is good. However I have encounterd several problems doing this for a deceased person. I was asked to enter a birthdate in the section of life changes for my deceased spouse, and there is no where to do this on this page. When printing the return since I can not Netfile it, it printed a duplicate form which can not be mailed it also did not ask for the empty pages to be removed. A waiste of a return and printer ink and paper Now I have to do a paper return which I find ludicrous after spending all this time to do a very overall simple return.

steady as she goes
I've been using this product for years and admire its consistency, which is very important when you only do this once a year. My only suggestion is to simplify the smart tips & warnings section to be smarter as they repeat each time to do a review

Does the job
Like the fact that you can go back and forth to make necessary changes. Also beneficial that you can use the question approach, but when needed you can also review the forms approach and use CRA forms when it makes sense. The two approaches are integrated.

Pretty Good
Worked for our investnebts and rental property, but could not import online 2020 version information into the download/CD 2021 version. We purchased the online version by mistake last year and it worked fine except we could not download the 2020 information into the CD version we purchased for this (2021) tax year. Otherwise, all was good and we'll use Turbo Tax again next year.

Excellent purchase. The use of on line assistance
I've been using Turbotax for decades now and it has never disappointed me. This year my return was a little more complcated than usual and I opted for their online assistance. My questions were addressed promptly and the suggestions from Turbotax saved me a couple of thousand dollars which was greatly appreciated.

Always Reliable, once it's understood
Using the the Navigator side bar (left side) was problematic. When amounts had to be changed to correct an error, or, to test a new tax scenario, the interface with the actual sections for changing the information would not record the adjustments regularly. It was also annoying to have to sometimes go into 2 or 3 separate steps in the Navigator to complete an adjustment :(. This is a perennial issue for me because your design hasn't changed significantly over decades. The Easy Interview approach is good for capturing probably everything one needs to review. However, when it comes down to making adjustments after the initial entry of details, then the 'fun' begins.

Needs minor improvement
Easy to use but needs improvement. For T5 investment form information, it only gives you 2 lines for entries. That is not nearly enough. I need at least 10. Printing filing confirmation uses 2 pages of which one says "great news" only. Waste of paper. Needs fixing.

Only complaint is that it seems the only way to netfile in the event of a principal residence sale is to pay for the premier version. No change in taxes due, no gain to report but upgrade mandatory?? Why???

Easy to use tax software
I have used TurboTax for many years, this year I needed to upgrade to the Premier package, I found this easy to use, even though I had new tax information that I hadn't had to worry about in the past to enter, the new package assisted me to get it right the first time with the easy steps. thank you

Bugs
Ok product though very overpriced if you have even the slightest investment more than bank interest. Also has bugs and you have to be patient and poke around to get it to work. Once lost in the system good luck finding a phone number for assistance, they expect you to get even further lost in trying to iron out your problems with the product. They need a real computer novice like myself to critique their product to make it REALLY user friendly.

Needs an interface tune up
Integration with CRA needs improvement; no error handling if CRA experiences an error. Turbo says waiting for data forever. NOA should be automatic when filing, not 2 step. Option for email registration should read No, I'm not ready OR no changes.

Overall Great
Overall using TurboTax Premier was great. This is the first time using Premier because I have a rental property that I never realized I could claim since it is unoccupied. I initially tried the online version which seemed really easy, but it would have cost more for me to submit online than for me to purchase the downloaded version. However, there were differences between the online and downloaded versions especially in the wording and sequence of the questions. It got a little confusing as the end results were also slightly different. Other than that, they were both good. Just different. I probably would have said each was good if I hadn't tried both and noticed the difference. It just led to some confusion, but in the end I got a refund I was happy with.

watch out that in the year of death, husband and wife's file requires it to be split up i.e. 2 tax files. Means you must go back and forth on details. Had trouble with not viewing full page

No one fix the problem
If everything is good, this still good product. But just like this version, the installation screen is not compatible with newest Windows 10 version. Many complain but no one take care and fix the problem. Need customer to find work out by themselves, very frustrate

Good but could be better
$80 for the software when I am the only one filing seems unfair when it comes with 12 returns.
I paid extra for Premier to manage the income from my rental property but the Easy steps don't ask for all the important details, like house insurance, Utilities, Repairs&Maintenance. these are line items that are available to fill in the forms but someone who doesn't know that will miss hundreds of dollars in savings if they are declaring rental income.

For a person not owing any tax but with unused rrsp contributions TT always deducts the maximum of the contributions even though this does not produced any tax savings. There should be a prompt to make filers aware of this issue
