Improves a bit each year
I've been using TurboTax since 2004 and will continue to use it unless something more convenient and reasonably priced comes along. However, I wish you would provide an easy way to print your overlay screens, such as the list of tax forms to print when "Print Individual Tax Forms" is selected, as well as the results of the Medical Expense Optimizer, and other Optimizers.

all good, except
having two options at the end, 1. to get a CRA my account or 2. to not be ready for paperless is very confusing for all people who already have a CRA My account. You should have this as a third option, whereby people can indicate they already have an My Account. Otherwise very pleased with the product. Even I can do it!

Great - One hangup
I've been using turbotax for many years and it's seamless interface to the CRA makes doing taxes easier and easier. One quirk though, if you're doing multiple returns at once, when downloading or uploading, turbotax gets hung up and you have to end the program (and lose info) if you didn't log out of the CRA website in time before moving to the next return. It would be really great if there was a back button to restart that step.

Convenient,esp with doc download
Overall user friendly, with a few problems. Should not have to go back and enter type of income on T5008, when these have been downloaded from RCA. Help could be greatly improved. Option of "already signed up" for My Account(RCA) needs to be added. Have been using for years, with only minor complaints

The premier edition of the Turbo Tax was very easy to use as per the product claim, and took only a couple hours to complete. My T4 and all mailed Tax forms from my workplace and my banks were automatically downloaded to Turbo Tax Through CRA. Price point needed for filing of max 4 returns instead of 20 tax filings.

add line numbers
Add line numbers to the program. We had other schedules to fill out and they asked for numbers based on line numbers. I had to complete the form, save a pdf and then open the pdf to find the line numbers then go back to the form, fill it out, then go back and revise the main tax return. Too many steps

An Improved Product
This year's TurboTax was easier to use than in previous years, although I found the entry of T-slip data from CRA's MyAccount data base was a bit perplexing. Over-all, I'd say that it has improved over last year's version. Full disclosure: I do not consider myself an IT- proficient individual.

HELP, WAS NOT TRUELY HELPFUL
The 2019 Turbo Tax Premier software had some glitches that I had not encountered in previous years. The HELP did not direct me to the form, but only identified the line where I needed to go. The rental property section declaration section was not as user friendly as expected.

Software great, support poor
Good product - but support is really lacking if you have a quirky problem. The software works well but once in a while there is a particular situation and you are pretty much on your own to figure it out. CRA will not help with TurboTax quirks.

Turbo Tax Quick and Easy
I found it easy to use. I've been filling out forms by hand forever but this was a much quicker experience. Connecting to CRA to get tax slips was unsuccessful and was the only drawback. With Netfile being an approved CRA product the link could be better.

When income splitting, the program recommends an amount which maximizes refund but does not warn you that one of the incomes may exceed the threshold after which oas payments are clawed back

Good product overall.
One feature needs improvement. The T5 input screen in Easystep.
When the amounts on T5 are reported in US dollars by the financial institution,
the T5 input screen in Turbotax (CD version) should allow me to input exchange rate and then Turbotax should automatically re-calculate all amounts into CAD dollars, instead of me manually converting every individual T5 entry into CAD dollars on a manual calculator and converting every single figure.
If T5 is in CAD already then the exchange rate could simply default to 1.00
This would make the T5 input screen so much more helpful.

Better than others I've tried
There was a glitch. A medical record that entered okay in EasyStep was not entered in the Form view, i.e., it was not entered. If I entered it directly on the form, then it ended up being entered twice in EasyStep. That didn't give me confidence.

Needs work
This program prints useless paper when the extra pages are not used or needed. This is an easy change that would make it better. A basic tax return only needs 5 pages. This program prints 15 pages 10 pages of useless tax info no one needs

Saves me a lot!
Generally very easy to use; auto-fill is amazing. It would be great if T5008 could be reorganized by issuers, so that it is completely filled rather needing additional information inserted.

Quebec part sucks
Relevé 2 is entered haphazardly.
Cannot send Quebec Netfile claiming error with T5 and releve 3. Although my taxable dividend equals my actual amount of eligible dividends multiply by 138%.

Needs some Improvements
Registration is impossible. Tried about 10 times and going through the process your server or site was not responding. The promotional stuff like review and audit should only be asked once.
Still a time saving product but you could do better and cheaper.

T5008 Down Loads
Very little information is transferred from the investment T5008 source into the Turbo Tax form.
Missing is the disposition date, name of security, cost of disposition, capital gain

Turbo tax has problems in auto fill feature especially with Quebec return. This year it correctly transferred the income but completely ignored the income tax withheld at the source and I had to enter it by hand. !!

Good, but some sections still unclear
Good product, but a few sections are unclear. For example, rental income and expenses is awkward to navigate and clunky, requiring many clicks for "additional expenses;" why not just put them all clearly on a single page.
The CCA section of the rental expenses is really poorly designed, for anyone other than a tax accountant.
Also, there are items where it is unclear how to input amounts for yourself and your spouse. It is frustrating that the software tells you in some places not to worry, "Turbotax will determine who should claim" this or that amount, and then in other places there is no guidance whatsoever. The user is left running a few scenarios and checking for the result.
Also, the Wizard is awkward to navigate at any time that you want to return to a previous item.
Personally, I felt that there were several items that I needed to confirm on the actual forms.
