Quicken interface
The interface to quicken needs to be streamlined, a lot of items do not port over automatically. Warnings appear in Quicken, however you are working in Turbotax wondering why it is taking so long? Eventually you figure out that Quicken does not like it.
It also seems like Quicken does not like working in a administrator account, got a few strange messages regarding that. Rebooting the computer seems to fix it.

Potential Improvement to Rental Property Section
Overall using TurboTax was relatively easy to use. The carry forward of a lot of information from one year to the next is very convenient, as it eliminates errors from re-entry, and saves time. However, an opportunity for improvements for entry of rental property information related to co-ownership exists. It would be helpful to maintain name, address and % information that is entered and carry it forward. I found that if you went back through the returns for a review of rental information, the co-ownership information disappeared and had to be re-entered each time. This was a nuisance. Fortunately expense information was intact once entered, and the carry forward to a spouse's return was beneficial, saving time and eliminating the opportunity for those errors.

excellent program
I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have always found the easy step excellent. I have also had occasion to call the help line and found the people I spoke to very helpful and courteous.

TurboTax Premier
Used Turbotax in 2013 for just personal tax and worked great. In 2014 I had to accomodate a rental property so there was a bit of an adjustment. You have to know a bit more about deductions, expenses etc. to get everything to go smoothly.

I use this program every year since it's easy to use (Forms or Easy step) and it carries my info over from past years (where I might have forgotten after a year what I missed claiming).
There are other free online products available, but I find that the Easy step really helps you learn about filing taxes and what kind of credits you can apply.

Very helpful purchase
I've been using Turbo Tax for a few years now. Only issue I have with it is that I can't seem to be able to print an individual completed form as it is counted towards the number of Tax Returns I can file. I find this very annoying. Maybe there's another way to print and I just haven't figured it out yet.

makes the tax season a little easier
I believe I purchased the Intuit income tax software many years ago. over the years the software has evolved and become more simplified. I have to admit you have an advantage if you have a some accounting experience in your background. Technology being what it is, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next five years, and NETFILE will also be upgraded. it appears to take forever to notify a "address change, "
'street ' or residence" change. thank you.

Covers all deductions well
This is a great piece of software. I've been using it for years. It could use a couple of improvements for more advanced users such as transferring unused deductions to caregivers and entering interest expense for investment income.

Ease of use has been significantly improved
I have used TurboTax (previously QuickTax) for many years. I found it simple enough to use in previous years, but the program has been redesigned to be much more user-friendly and only present the options you need as you need them, this year.

Still some problems
Cannot use CPP optimizer because husband contributed to age 70 and gets a larger amount than allowed by the program.

Great product
Don't know why anyone would try and prepare taxes without investing in urbo tax. It makes the job so much easier, simple. Using this product makes the process dso much quicker and generally fairly good at helping with issues or questions as well.
I haveused this product for over 10 years now.

TT will handle foreign income but it doesn't give you a lot of help here. If you have to file with the U.S., you won't get a lot of support.
It seems to handle CA taxes well enough and is straight-forward and easy to use.

Painless Tax Filing
TurboTax does a great job of making things as simple as possible to file your taxes.
They do a great job of letting you itemize your receipts and rolling up the values to the main tax form of the return.
There are still a few areas for splitting capital gains between joint account holders where I think the system could do a better job, but I'm more than satisfied with its current level of sophistication.

Good, with some glitches
Overall, I like this product and the assistance it provides. I think there's a problem in the Rental Property section though, as whenever I go through it I have to re-enter the Co-Ownership percentages. Since the reason I buy the Premier version (and incur the significant additional cost) is so that the rental property is handled correctly, I find this a bit problematic.
This is the first year I signed up for the detailed review, and I found that assistance to be very helpful and reassuring.

Opportunities for improvement
While Turbo Tax is easy to use and I have used it for several years, there are some improvements that would make it more user friendly: I indicated on the form that I was a non-resident, yet Turbo Tax review insisted that I had provided wrong province info for filing, wrong postal code, wrong provincial address. Also lead me to believe I could netfile and when I went to Netfile I was advised I could not netfile. These issues are not new to 2014 and have seen them previous years, even though I purchased the Premium package.

Still not available to install on a Mac
Turbo Tax works great, but I refuse to use the online version for Mac because I don't like to have my data floating around on the internet and stored god knows where.
I update my old clunker PC every year and install a desktop version of Turbo Tax, which gets the job done.
Will switch as soon as a credible Mac version of Canadian Tax software is available

Pretty good software
Everything worked great, with one exception: the kids physical activity somehow was interpreted as a override, and we never entered anything into the forms.
A bit annoying when you think you are done.

2104 T-Tax
Overall this is a great product. The interview method to acquire info works well. The option to jump to forms and back again is very good. The only areas that I have experienced needing attention are catching errors on auto expenses when they should not be allowable due to a change in income type and the ease of finding and correcting final summary and net filing issues. Lets remember the positive though it did catch some issues and things could be corrected prior to filing.
