Get's Easier
I have used Turbo Tax for the last 4 years and the only problem that I have is that it is only used once per year and each time it is like learning the program all over again.
I guess it can't be helped it is not difficult to use.
Made 2 phone calls and the wait time was zero and the rep. was great each time.

only one significant glitch found
Since we moved provinces this year had a big problem trying to netfile because the province I had a small business in and now wrapped up was different than the province I was living in as of dec 31st. The program really can not handle this as I see it simple issue so got around it by having the business and residence province the same.

Long Time User
I have been using QuickTax/TurboTax for years. I find that TurboTax is simple software to use and the help desk is friendly and helpful. All in all best software ever and since I get mine with my Quicken Home & Business so I don't pay extra for it.

font size too small!!
The on screen font size is tiny and very difficult to read and I have not been able to figure out how to increase it. I use Windows 8.1 and increased the font size on my google browser and that did not change the font size in Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax should have a scaling feature as part of their program (as Microsoft excel does) so that users can easily adjust the on screen font size to suit their needs. The lack of such a feature has been a common complaint for a number of years and Turbo Tax has not addressed it!! If this feature were included I would rate Turbo Tax's ease of use at 4 stars.

Fonts in Easy Step Screen
The narrow fonts on the white background of the "Easy Step" screen are difficult to read. Would you please increase the size of the font so that persons with vision problems and seniors can read the text. There is no method to increase the font size such as CTRL + that is available in other programs.

What is the Best Price?
I have used Turbo Tax for years and find it helpful; with improvements added frequently. However, there are still manual mathematical requirements when dealing with splitting invstment portfolios for capital gains.
I waited until March 14th to purchase the premium edition at a 15% discount; then got a notice on Mar 25th of a 20% discount. How late should I wait next year?

Turbo tax 2013 review
Overall a good program however it could be improved by easily allowing couples with joint capital gains and investment income to optimize the proportion each person should submit. Presently, to do so manually you can not even copy/cut/paste within the documents. TurboTax has several optimizers but they do not offer one for couples that have joint income / capital gains that could be split.

2013 Turbo Tax Premier
Relative easy to use however would be helpful if Help actually told you whether you qualify for certain tax deductions, especially where income limits would automatically disqualify you as not eligible for deduction.

DISAPPOINTED
I have been a TurboTax/ QuickTax customer for the last 15 plus years, and have been generally happy with the product.
However, I am extremely DISAPPOINTED that Intuit stopped including the "Capital Gains" and "Investment" tax treatment issues in the "Standard" version starting in the 2013 Tax Year. This forced me and many other customers to purchase the "Premier" version at a cost increase of about 75%. I do not think it is right force upon your loyal customers such an obscene increase over one year period.

Confusing survey questions
This year's version put all the questions up front and then took you through the corresponding forms/pages. That meant that decisions made up front only came into effect later on (and perhaps another day) as one worked through the forms. I liked it a lot better when it would ask some questions and then show the forms right afterward so that if I had to correct what I entered, I could do so and see the results immediately. Asking the questions up front disconnected it from the eventual entering in of data as I entered data over several days.

Great app, tricky interview process
Great app that helps find all the deductions. The main complaint I have about this software is the interview process. It can take a long time to complete and I'm not always sure which questions I need to answer "Yes" or "No" to. I end up saying "yes" to most of them just to see what the options are and then they aren't always clear what is covered.
Would recommend but once you get into more complicated returns (capital gains/losses, interest income, etc), users will probably get lost.

Capital Gains ( 0r Losses )
When filling up traded shares, the last column of Gain ( or loss ) is very confusing, if it is a loss, it is not shown in minus or bracket, but shown a question mark of the first digit in front of the amount, have to check again and again about the amount in loss, very inconvenient.
Only after the tax file is printed then the loss amount is shown in bracket, wonder why, please check.
However, it is a lot easier to netfile than before, thanks.

Minor frustrations
I would like to see the feature for investment income input operate the same way as bank interest (i.e. select a % split between spouses rather than have to enter ALL the data twice).
Investment income (sale of shares) is brought up in two places (on a T5008 and at another place). Could it be done in one place?
Split pension is added to the recipient at the income input stage, but only deducted from the donor on the spreadsheet later in the deductions process. It's confusing - it makes you think the pension splitting calculation is not working.

probems need quicker response
The software is generally easy to use but when a glitch shows up like the total interest including foreign income there doesn't appear to be a response from Turbo-Tax. This leaves us uncertain as to whether to fake a response so we can file or wait to see if it is fixed.

Needs better search feature
Tried to find out where to enter a professional dues deduction, it took forever. You would think the program would point you right to the place where to enter the deduction after you searched for it, it does not.

Better
This 2013 version was much better than 2012, which I found to be difficult especially the netfile part, had to recruit expert to figure it out and even then it took him a while to netfile our returns, but you improved that part significantly making the whole process much easier. I almost did not buy your product this year because of last years problems but I am very satisfied now.
