Same as standard
Thought the Premier would give me extra stuff that can help me maximize my rentals, but it didn't do anything noticeably different than the Standard versions I bought in the previous years.
Since the Standard includes Rentals, I would definitely go back to it for next year.

good but could be improved
Moving expenses: I've learned to put an estimated value in, and only if it comes into play, do I bother to put all the actual moving expenses, addresses, and supporting information in.
non-taxable pension transfer: I had to call a tax advisor who taught me a work-around for your software.
Error in interest:(I tried to ignore it but could not net-file until I fixed it.) it said my total interest did not match my bank interest.... The only number that it allowed me to fix was the one I had entered from my tax slip . Where does the total come from? (why was it less than my bank slip?)
flags: once I went back to a flag, I had no way of quickly back to where I had been before I went back to the flag. You need a "return button". Instead I had to tromp all the way through every question again.
basic questions: would be helpful if it did the spouses at the same time. Even better , for those of us who are importing last years information, warn us if we make a change (forget something) from the previous year.
Dependants: since birth dates in, prompt as to which deductions are possible (or no longer possible) would be helpful.

EASY TO USE
Good product but some limitations on pages for printing like year over year or spouse combined summary. would be more useful if these views could be printed rather than having to snip the window and jpeg it.

Good value
I used to do my taxes using an Excel spreadsheet that I made. Updating it was a pain. Tubotax is easy to use, and improving, and the ReVIEW and TAX TIP features have saved me $. It pays for itself

Well structured for easy use
I am familiar with tax filing preparation but found the ability to use the forms as well as the "steps" very helpful (as I only do this once/year, it is helpful to have the "steps" approach available). We do not have a lot of income but it is a bit complicated as we have investment income including capital gains and Option transactions income, rental income and pension income (which we split) plus a wee bit of business income. I found this program made it all easy to cope with, including allocating the investment income according to our ratios of money invested. My only complaint is the inability to print a detailed summary. Perhaps there is a way to do this....? Thanks for a good program.

Decent but clogged with upsells
The tax filing guide itself is good - overall, it is fairly user friendly although there was some difficulty in finding the industry code for my husband's work as a visual artist.
What is preventing me from giving it a five star rating is the constant nagging attempts to upsell me on different products during the entire filing procedure. I paid good money for a product that fit my needs, and did not need or want to see additional promotions for business and will services throughout my filing. It was very distracting - distracting to the point that I question whether or not to use this product again next year. If you want to upsell me, do it once, ask if I'm interested, and give me the option to say "No, and don't ask me again"!

Interest
It worked well until the last few steps before filing. When it said to confirm the amount of interest earned it only has a space for T3 earnings but you have to add the T5 earnings to get the sum that it indicates as total interest earned.

Turbo Tax
Very good program, in my opinion. I have used it for many years with good success and no problems. However, I do not like not being able to save files in the .tax format anymore. I would still like to save them manually as before.

Print options
I wanted to print the return by form so I could check each part came out OK on my (flaky) printer. Couldn't find that option - it just went ahead and tried to print the whole return (jamming it the middle).

Worth the price
Very user-friendly. I find that getting everything organized in advance, with the essentials written down, helps speed the process of filling in TurboTax. It takes many hours of work regardless, but the electronic filing is hugely efficient.

A great product
Its well worth the money. It does all the hard
work for you and you have help available
if you need it. The program had major
problems with files and finding them
but tech help was able to find the files.
Every time I opened the program it
was a big issue finding the files. This
area needs work for sure.

Great Product
Been using Quick Tax forever, and now Turbo Tax. One glitch: program combined interest income and foreign income, and so wouldn't Net File my return. Tech had me divide total by 4, and claim, but I hope it gets fixed, so income is correctly claimed.

A Real Timesaver
I used to take over a week to calculate, review, and fill out my tax returns by hand. Using Turbo Tax, I can file my taxes in a matter of hours. The hyperlinks and hints are very helpful if you have questions about any section of the Tax Guide.

Long time user for value received
Turbo tax works well even for my more sophisticated issues. There are some problems where the error checking becomes annoying but other than that it is a good program and saves time and money.

Better than last year
The info provided regarding who should use NETFILE was lacking but the online chat help was great.
I hate the feature that prints COPY DO NOT SUBMIT across the face of the printed copy. Why not allow me to print a good copy?
The program did work well though and was good value. It is much better than last years edition.

Easy to use, as ever, but I don't like that I can't save a .tax file this year. I do the returns for my family, but CRA does not allow you to netfile for another person. How can this work if I can't save the file?

Tax filing has never been easier!
Pending the degree of complexity on your tax situation, I recommend this software. I have the usual T4's but was able to do post secondary tuition, student expenses, rental income and related expenses with an easy step by step guide. Any questions I had were answered with the helpful tech and tax support services. This software and combined tech support grants the average person the tools necessary to complete the job with satisfaction. This is my second year with turbotax. I will never go to another walk in tax business and pay the ridiculous fees again. All it took me was about an hour and a half of my time ( this is the time you would spend waiting and watching someone else do it for you anyway ).

Tentative preparation by me
This program was used to file a final return for deceased taxpayer. Some of the verbage did not make me feel that they were customizing it for a deceased person. It seems to have been done correctly and indicated, rightly, that it does not qualify for Netfile. We'll wait and see how quickly CRA processes it.

Makes tax time easy
TurboTax has everything I need to file easily. I just enter what it asks for, and I'm done. I used to be hesitant to do my taxes, and my wife was worse. We both file with TurboTax now and it's a breeze. Highly recommended.

Easy to Follow
I have used Intuit tax software for a number of years now. This year's was the easiest to follow. However, at the end I wasn't informed if the optimizer was used and how it was to our advantage.

Changes recommended
Recommend change to printing returns, by not having the "File Copy - Do not submit" in bold black ink. This covers some of the information and uses excesive amount of black ink.
