The software is good for straightforward tax returns. I will update the comment after doing more complicated returns.
NO, I don't want to make internet explorer my default browser. Incredibly annoying. I pay enough that I shouldn't be required to deal with advertising as well.

Rental Property section
Had problems with this section about personal % of expenses. It is not clearly defined, could be more user friendly. After correcting my error my tax due was cut in half.

Better Mac Programs
I have used TurboTax for many years and think this product is great. I do more than 8 returns and use premier program and have a Mac. I would really like to use it on the Mac computer.

Even Better This Year!
The EasyStep functionality is really smooth this year and there are a lot of opportunities to get more information or help on sections if you are unsure of what's being asked.
The icing on the cake was the Netfile option this year. Super easy! 1 click and done, right from within the TurboTax software itself. In previous years, it was such a painful multi-step process. Well done!

Quick & Easy
Completing returns with Turbo tax is quick and easy. However, returns could be even simpler if several tax tips were eliminated based on the personal information already entered, instead of being reminded of opportunities that clearly do not apply.

Using TurboTax this year:
Certainly easier to file once the returns are complete. Thanks for making this improvement.
I wish there were a way to include current investment share holdings in the program so they would just be carried forward from year to year until I sell them.

TurboTax 2013
Having moved back to Canada after working in USA for 15 years, this return was somewhat difficult because I had a dual-status return to make for the IRS as well as the Canadian one. TurboTax was reasonably good at most things that were somewhat unique to my situation but there were also frustrations.
It took me a long time to figure out that TT would not calculate a foreign tax credit for me because the particular item was not taxable in the USA. Once I got past that realization, after several days of trying, the rest was smooth sailing.
I have learned, therefore, to trust TurboTax to "Get it right".

Easy to Use
I've used Quick Tax and TurboTax for about 6 years now and each time it is straight forward. I find the order that it asks for my information to make sense and I am able to find the additional forms for employment expenses without too much trouble. TurboTax makes it easy for me to Netfile and I enjoy no longer having to do my taxes by hand. Unless you have very complicated tax needs this product should allow you to quickly fill out the forms and file them.

A Big Help

New Turbo Tax

Turbotax can be better
Certain features difficult to use:
Carry forward moving expense difficult to enter. Turbotax never reminds me that I have to key in distance as well.
During Netfile, the total interest income is not matching the individaul income, causing me much time to manually calculate it.
Price getting more and more expensive.

Good investment
In the past, I have used other tax software and I have found that Turbo Tax is easier to use. I am now using Turbox tax for the past 3 years.The continious improvement made each year to the software enables one to be more confident in filing their taxes with this soft ware.

Does what it advertises..
Good program, makes it easy to change or modify a return and look at different scenarios for RRSPs etc. I used the Premier product and unfortunately like taxes it seems to go up in price every year!

One problematic area I found was when you want to go to review the file and hit the "back" button it kept taking me back to whether I wanted the tax experts,which I did not want. Perhaos this should be corrected in your next version.

Internet Browser
hello,
it would be realy nice if you recognize at lease one other browser then just "Explorer".I do not have it instaled and it keep giving me all sorts of errors. I am using "Firefox" and it is better for me.
Hope in the near future you will ad it on and have some sort of option at the bigining of the instalation to select browser of one's choice. Thank you.

Too many ads
There are too many ads offering various services. There should be a way to opt out if the service would never be used. I don't want to see "defender" more than once a year!

Printing
I dislike that you cannot print out the confirmation number and date that you Net-filed your income tax. There were a few other pages, ie, the confirmation of your Name, Birthdate and SIN that could not be printed either. Would be nice to have them for future reference.

Simple to use

complex but comprehensive
this is a useful product, although some times it can be hard to find answers to some questions. If you aren't comfortable searching for answers or getting into the forms themselves, this probably isn't the product for you.
