Very Good

Investment Options
The software is very good with the exception of the entry method for investments which are split between spouses. If investments are held in joint name and 50% is to be recorded on each return, you need to enter the information twice instead of simply having a field that would allow you to apportion the investment between the two parties. Other software has this function and it would be a great enhancement for Turbo Tax.

Good product
I have been using Intuit's tax program for years and have found it very accurate. Every year the results sent by the CRA on the assessment match what Turbo Tax calculated.

The entry of medical expenses is a tedious job,it would be nice to have a calender from which to take dates.Likewise a box where one can program

Accessing T-form type needs reworking
In the EASY STEP method, I always have trouble trying to figure out what my income is from (investments?, interest?, RRSP?, etc.) in order to get the right "pop-down" list to give me the on-screen duplicates of the form(s) I have in my hand. It would be much easier to simply be able to access a "master T-forms list". i.e. Having put all my T-forms in numerical order, I simply go down TurboTax's (TT) master list of all possible T-forms and tick off the ones that pertain without having to figure out what sort of income/expense/whatever I have. TT then simply says: "You said you have a T?. Here it is. Fill it in according to the T? you have in your hand." When you're done, TT asks if you have another (Y/N). If yes, you're given another to fill in, if no, TT goes to the next T-form you said you have. And so on to the end. This "master T-forms list" method would also seem to be more in keeping with the EASY STEP philosophy which is the tax-filer doesn't know anything about tax-filing but can at least read well enough to be able to fill in an on-screen duplicate of a hard-copy he has in his hand.

Needs to clarify carrying charges
found it very difficult to get back to the carrying charges area for safety deposit box. It kept taking me back to film etc. Other than that I found it exceptional.

Good Product, bad marketting
I like TurboTax and have been using it, and its previous incarnation for years (since about 1990). The product is easy to use and I generally like it, but I hate the marketing done by Quicken.
My one complaint with the product is the preparation for netfiling. They have just led you through a long process to get all of the data and then they ask you what amounts to test questions. These questions deal with things you may have put on your form - or not, but it doesn't make it clear where. Also, if you do go back to the form to find the answer, you have to start the whole netfile process over. A total waste of time.
Other than that, I like the product and would recommend it.

amazing
I have been using this Turbo Tax system for a number of years. Very interesting. Let's see what Turbo Tax does with new and improved technology.

More clear on how many returns for netfile
I enjoy this software, have used it from beginning. However I find that there should be more returns made availabel for over 25,000.00 net income as there is very few people who are under that amount. You buy for under and over and yet under never gets used up and you pay for nothing. Thanks

Almost Perfect
This product gets better every year. The ONLY problem that I have is that if you go back to make a change through Forms, it can be really hard to return to the EasyStep where you left off. The tabs at the top of the page disappear. I end up closing the document and re-opening.

Good product but flawed transition
Overall a good and easy to use product but transitioning between the wizard and form is flawed. You would think if you were in the wizard at a particular step and chose to switch to forms that you would be put to the matching form for the questions/line you were dealing with. Not the case. This is the biggest problem I've had with the software.

Turbo tax - Medical Forms
When you enter in on the medical pages, you should have a reference to the amount required based on the income of the taxpayer.
Amount does not show on the schedule. Looks like it just goes away

Great Product, Except
The charity optimizer never does optimize correctly. (Gives all to my wife, when if it goes to me the refund is higher). Also, gives warnings for items that are completed correctly (this year it was the Child Fitness Credit). Still this is a great tool. I can put up with the small nusiances.

Need improvment
Import of the Quicken file for Capial Gain/loss does not work. Information transfered is incorrect and is using a wrong exchange for the transaction date.

easy to use but expensive
I have used the TurboTax (Quicken Tax) software for the past 10 years. Its' "easy-step" approach is very easy to use and understand. The only complaint I have is the price. The price of software increases every year, and I only file less than four returns per year.
TurboTax should have a cheaper version of software for limited amount of returns (ie. under four)
