Using Netfile
I found it extremely difficult to use. Would not allow me to access the netfile button. Also the netfile demo was gibberish.
Trying to solve the problem was difficult as your "ässistance" comments were unclear and difficult to follow.

Rude Dismissive Chat Help
Chat "helper" was incredibly rude and dismissive when I encountered the rental splitting glitch (made both owners claim the rental income but only allowed deduction of half the expenses each - essentially doubling the rental income for the year). They were completely unaware of the problem. Called back and dealt with a much more knowledgeable tech who advised an update. Worked fine after that. Bad apples can destroy your reputation TT!

Filing together with common-law
When filing our return together (me and my common-law) I couldn`t add her P.O. Box.
We have different P.O. Boxes and when I entered mine first in the intro I couldn`t add a separate P.O. Box for my Common-law as mine then was the default.
I don`t know if this will slow my common-laws return or not. I hope it doesn`t.
Anyway maybe this should be improved.

Good product that's pretty easy to use
Overall, a good product that's pretty intuitive (pun intended). The only thing I find annoying is the additional pricing for the Premiere addition. A few simple investments outside of your RRSP and you pay a pretty big "premium"!

rental portion needs some more work
I had trouble with the rental portion. Every time I went back to easy steps I had to re-enter by partner info. Also, sometimes it seemed to change the percentages of partner share on its own. Had a terrible time trying to send one of our tax returns. Said there was a error in the account number but I actually don't have to have an account number at all. The staff who answer questions at intuit are great!

Thumbs up for Turbo Tax
Turbo tax is the perfect program for the do it yourselfer. Mostly it's very easy to use. My only complaint would be that occasionally they ask a question with a double negative which can be very confusing. For example: " Do you have no income to declare? YES?NO?" (no was the default answer)
No I have no income to declare = yes I have income to declare.
Why not state this in the positive? It would be less confusing than saying that you are not, not doing something.

Good but could be better
The "easy step" is really nice but does not seem to catch everything, at least you can view the individual forms. It seems like the 'easy step' was better in previous years - more comperhensive.
Some better error checking would be nice. I enter the wrong year on a item and the tip off was that I owed thousands of $.... I had search through the forms until I found the wrong date, in fact it was the wrong year (typo).
Some years I have a fairly complex tax returns and have used a tax professional to do them. With Turbo Tax Premier I am still able to successfully do my own taxes, even the hard ones.

Mac
I have enjoyed using this product for about 9 years or more but for the last 2 years am frustrated that there is not a Mac version yet. I was told after last year they were working on it and it would be ready for this tax year but it is still not ready. I am reluctant to get ride of my old computer till this is resolved because I am pulling it out every year to do my taxes. Please get the Mac version done.

Definitely cheaper than hiring someone...
All in all a good product. We had some fairly complex tax applications this year, and TurboTax got us through it with minimal pain.
Or we'll see once the cheques are sent :)

Easy To Follow and Do
My only wish would be to have the print type a little darker to provide more contrast, also if the print size could be upsize adjustable would make reading easier.

Quick and Easy
I've been using Turbo/Quick Tax for over 1o years now and find it to be very quick and easy to use. Its designed for first timers or those like me who have used the application before and can quickly jump to the areas that pertain to me. Once you've prepared a return using Turbo Tax, you simply import your previous years information, so its even easy to use the following year......

turbo tax premier-no help with capital gain
there is not much intutive help with capital gain entry and calculation. Not sure how to do it - although paid higher price for turbo tax premier. Please improve your quality on capital gains like earlier QUICK TAX used to do. Thank you.

Only One Thing
The only complaint that I have is that when I printed out my copy, there were 5 pages (out of 19) with no figures or calculations on them. That is wasted paper & ink. Also, it would be nice if the pages could be printed individually, so that both sides of the paper could be used.

BIG BUCKS
I have 1 suggestion to make.
the option to deduct previous years losses against current years capital gains should be automatic, but it isn't. I had to go look for this deduction and make it equal to my gains in order to zero out the capital gains.

2 "hiccups" this year
The Netfile video did not work. (When I clicked on the link I saw all kinds of "gibberish"). I have MAfee anti-virus on my PC this year. Secondly, this year the software did not recommend Income splitting for my wife and I. I used Easy Step throughout. It seems strange this important feature was not hilighted for me.
