Not worth
The software is very hard to use: hard to find the right form, very hard to delete a form. It took me double time to finish the tax than previous year.
The pay version does not have many functionality than the free software. If it's not your first year reporting tax, this is totally not worthwhile.

Not as good as it used to be
I don't find Turbo Tax Premier as easy to use as it used to be. It doesn't always show me the deductions I can use. For example, I did my taxes on TT, then went to an accountant and accountant found a $250 Canada Training credit that TT didn't mention or suggest. Also the unnecessary warnings at end of the program are confusing. For example, when I state I didn't sell my house in easy step questions, but a warning comes up at the end asking if I sold my house, it makes me think I've entered something wrong. Also warns about changing Name or Birthday or Direct Deposit info, when I haven't. When I see the warning, though, I have to go back and check to make sure I haven't entered something wrong. The Help doesn't answer any questions, just gives more info instead of telling me if/when that info applies to my situation. The product isn't nearly as user friendly as it used to be, and I'm not willing to pay extra to have an 'expert' go over my return. If that was the case, I'd go to an expert instead of using Turbo Tax at all. May be looking for another product next year, which is disappointing because I've been a loyal customer since Turbo Tax was Quick Tax.

the Premier issue is only of value to someone who knows some tax unless they use simple step method.
Tax information is extremely limited - so searching under the Help button rarely answers a question.
I am a Chartered Accountant (although did not work in tax) so know how to research on internet which I've done. The program should have more tax law readily available.

Functioning Challenges
Installed CD and Downloaded version from Web. Kept asking for my Licence code upon initiation. Been using since 2012 and this 2020 version has been nothing but trouble. PCU capabilities verified as OK. Continues late with start up.

Disappointed
I have two T2125's to complete. Program combined Gross Incomes but not Net Incomes. My income understated by over $24,000 as a result. Help line not helpful and could not help me.

Confusing
The whole process was very confusing. There was very little transparency about what was coming up and you can't just jump back to a particular point to enter some additional information. There are a lot of individual questions
There were a number of cases where there was simply no help for an item.
There should be worksheets so that individual receipts can be entered and then TT would total them up as necessary.

TurboTax Premium
The premium version was not worth it. There was no extra guidance and when we called the help line we could not get through. I left a call back phone number and Turbo tax did not return my call.

Support is non!
After I finished filling my , and my wife return, I had an error, and because of it I could not Net file.I purchased an extra feature from Turbo-tax to help me clear up the situation, but I could not get my user name to get from them!? I am really disappointed of their service!

Disapointed
Been using this product for 4 years, every year I have been disappointed and frustrated with the warnings and errors. The questions are not relevant and do not match the answers submitted in the process. Example when I did my daughter's first ever filing it asked if it was the first and then a question was asked to indicate the number of the notice of assessment from past years. Could not file the return online, will have to send it by mail.
I believe this will be the last time I use this product.

Wasn't the best
I have Capital Gains and except for slips I couldn't figure out how to report them. Seems that you either do the automatic fill in or you have to do all the slips. No in between.

Last year for me
Every year, things get more complex, and it's no longer worth it to me to buy this product. I've filed on my own for many years, using QuickTax and now TurboTax, but next year I'm taking my business to an accountant, which I probably should have done years ago.

T5008 input challenges
This is my 5th year using Turbotax and may be my last. Entering my T5008 data caused a duplication of values on my Schedule 3. I had already input schedule 3 info based on a summary provided by ScotiaWealth. It was unnecessarily stressful and with considerable difficulty that I was able to make changes on my document. The T5008 values were in USD and the converted values to CAD (from ScotiaWealth summary) were already input into my return. This caused unnecessary stress and unless it is rectified, I will use different software for my 2020 return.

Capital Gains
Very unclear instructions about capital gains and schedule 3. Should say clearly that if you import CRA T5008 slips do not enter the information again. Also does not advise you that T1 request for loss carryback is included so you do not need to submit it later on paper. I wasted a lot of time

Very poor support
Spent an hour trying to get telephone support for a specific issue. After going through mega screens I gave up. If they do not want to provide telephone support, do not offer it as an option! Also, there does not seem to be a way to get rid of the help support screen without going out and restarting. A real pain in the butt.

Poor Value
This year's Premium version of Turbo Tax was a major disappointment. Beginning with it's inability to transfer data from previous years (Turbo Tax), the program continued to get worse.
The HELP section, for all intents and purposes, is useless being very incomplete and vague at best.
Information, claimed to be included, was absent making further searching outside of the program necessary before completing the forms.
Trying to get help while actually working with the program is a joke with most options hiding behind a pay wall or infinite circles often referring the user back to the original useless information.
The community help group however, was quite useful.
However, I will definitely be looking for better and less expensive option next year.

Quality going down hill
Had to phone a live agent to register product and software still prompts me to register. This used to work in past years. CPP calculator is not transparent - does it estimate for tax brackets in future years or is it just an actuarial model?

not quite up to snuff

Dissappointed
Every year program gets worst. It is geared for "one income, one T4" crowd. Over the years was using Premium versions, simple versions and all the same trivial approach. $55 advise is not going to solve the problem. transfers between years does not carry overwrights. Not everything can be blamed on RC. Will be looking seriously for better tool for 2020 year

Foreign income tax paid
The country that foreign income tax is paid to is not given on T slips. Slips may be be for multiple funds. Turbo tax requires an entry, global and unknown are not options.

Going Downhill
Medical receipt entry in Easystep doesn't work; CPP/QPP optimizer is ignorant of CPP max with deferral past 65; generally much less helpful and error-free than I'm used too; and I'm a long-term user.
