I have used Turbo Tax for years. I have been finding that there is less and less effort being put into the program to provide information about the various tax lines. In fact some information is totally useless. Having a warning letting me know what my TFSA contribution limit for January 2017 doesn't do much for me when it's 2019. Press help on a field, and it tells you to enter the amount. Great. What does that mean? It used to provide better information. Now, they are withholding that information in an effort to upsell a review. Time to look for better options next year if this isn't addressed.

I have used Turbo tax for a long time, which is why I continue to use it. Every year the quality of the product seems to diminish. The help files are almost unusable as they generally don't provide the answers or the response is an advertisement to upgrade or purchase an additional service. When changing screens the system doesn't carry forward CPU options, you have to click the screen. Autofill options don't work cut and paste from other documents didn't work for me. Its just getting old.

I have been a satisfied customer and great fan of this program for more than 15 years. I use it every year but the 2018 program has annoying flaws in it. Specifically it will not let you go from return to return without having to exit the program altogether. It has a continuous loop between the end and back to "review". Cannot simply save and go on to another return. Very disappointing!

For the most part I have been pleased using TurboTax but this year 2018, I have experienced a number of frustrations, problems and had to place a number of calls to Inuit for resolution. Not the best at getting back to you when you have issues you kind of have to go back and retry things over and over until they seem to work! Lets hope CRA finds the returns correct. Frustrating!

Have used Turbo Tax for five years. This is the poorest addition. too much repetition with reviews etc. Did requested fixes but were not present on looking at return. No provision to print CRA notice of netfile acceptance with confirmation number!!!!! This is completely unacceptable. On completion of netfile, no provision to complete escape, keeps going back to "launch CRA account, very frustrating.
Will look at other software next year.

the update doesnt work had to do a bunch of running around to find out you need to manually update .. did return 2 times to see it wouldnt work so i got one less return allowed with my kit ..when you register your software a simple email saying you are having problems would be nice

This tax program which has been available for years, should be perfected at this point rather than being frustrating and unnecessary complex for the non-accountant. The Premiere version is rather poorly designed and incomplete as compared to the basic versions, which is a major disappointment. As I assume that this program is aimed at the non-professional, the program should be designed as such with every "tax-related" term fully explained. This is not the case. The help section is much like Google's search with little regard to what is "specifically" required in the search and many of the results quite unrelated to the search. This "may" be my last year for using Turbotax, which is a shame as the producers could have easily done so much better.

more frustrating than waiting for access to netfile from Apr 18 to Mar 15 was my inability to find any explanation or information from Turbo Tax about how long I would have to wait. So every day for a month I was either searching google or trying TurboTax again. More updates from Turbo Tax would have gone a long way to customer satisfaction.

I've used Turbo Tax for years and this is the first year I have been disapointed. The program wastes alot of paper and ink. I click yes when I am asked if I want to close unused forms and I still get forms printed that I didn't use. Seven pages wasted on the TOSI and another page for the principal Residence Designation and 2 random blank pages with just a SIN number on them. Such a waste of paper and ink.

There is a tab under edit to clear the form however you have to go back to your personal profile and possibly remove the check mark on a specific document first to get rid of the form. I have used Turbo tax for many years and I did not find this version easy to use.

Turbo tax is not as easy to understand as it was in the past. Some questions now are not sufficiently specific / precise. However, E-mailing the return to the CRA is a lot easier than it was several years ago. Overall, the degeneration of Turbo tax is very disappointing.

I purchased and tried installed the CD PREMIER PACKAGE. However after completing my return I could not continue to the Netfile stage because of open forms. After a lot of time trying to trouble shoot with no success I tried installing on another PC. Again the same issue. Finally the trouble shooting aid suggest installing the manual version on line. This resolved the issue. So is the CD version faulty? This is the first time in ten years I have experienced such a problem.

This version seems to have a glitch in it. It added an income line & amount that shouldn't be there and there doesn't seem to be any way to remove it. Can't file my return until that has been fixed. Sent off 2 questions but so far there hasn't been any reply - or fix.

Your format for CCA deduction is not useful and doesnt work. I have to override to get my amount in.
Also there was no difference from basic to premium besides additional returns.

It doesn't calculate the Adjusted Cost Base for you. No need to get a premier version, just stay with the basic one.

I found 2017's Turbo Tax very frustrating! Every time I wanted to complete a return it would take me back to starting the review or some other place. I didn't like that when I said that I wanted to start a new return it took me back to another spot and I would have to go up to "File" in the left corner to start a new return. In previous years when I pressed the button to start a new return it would take me back to all of the returns I had done.

Instead of telling you to take another look to be sure, turbo tax say "Warnings: your file is..." It makes me very nervous Wizard titles and contents are not in harmony, example, when I go NETFILE the screen titles before and after both say "You are ready to file"! Imagine, after you file and still see that, you get nervous again.

my option trading transactions would not transfer to my filed return automatically or when I entered them manually. I spent over 4 hours dealing with this issue and eventually gave up and will have to deal with the CRA on my own. very disappointing

Frustrated that I cannot split capital gains from joint investment account easily and have to enter each transaction separately - despite recieving a joint T-5008

I installed the wrong version of the software (standard/deluxe) on two computers and found out that I could not uninstall it in order to install the 'premier' version. I had to use a friend's computer.

Had nothing but problems with the software. I kept getting a "Script Error" every time I changed pages. I was unable to contact anyone at Intuit to help correct the problem. I have used this software forever, this is the first time I had a problem and there was no one there to assist.
