Software has bugs that Intuit is not fixing
2 Issues:
1) I bought 2 extra netfile licenses and the software DOES NOT update my counter appropriately.
2) My T3's require line 68140 to be filled out otherwise CRA will not accept it. Intuit knows this but continues to give work arounds that DO NOT WORK

Had software bugs unresolved
Inaccurate info from CRA download, very misleading and made me concerned about any other hidden errors may exist. TurboTax needs to address this issue with your costumers. Not leaving them scramble on their own. After 10 years of using Turbo Tax, I now want to explore other options and may dump Turbo Tax next year.

Easy to Use but leaves you with no confidence
I will not be back next year to use this program. Any program that asks me to pay an additional fee for someone to look over what I have done does not instill confidence in me to continue using this program. I would have brought my taxes to an accountant or professional tax preparer if I needed extra assistance.

Error codes 95365
This error code was reported as fixed by intuit and has not been. I have wasted considerable time trying to get my return submitted with the suggestions put forth on intuit site. no box 52 and rounding amounts. it doesn't work.

didn't remember saved amountsq
I've used TT for years. this year the saved file did not match the amounts I had entered. When I reopened the file to correct amounts the amounts I entered showed correctly in the software and other amounts were completely missing from various entries.
it took so much time correcting the mistakes that I'll look for a different software next year.

Several fields do not work, creating a real headache, particularly the inability to enter installments paid. The other fields are not visible when you are editing them which makes it difficult to see whether there are errors.

Capital Gains
I have spent over 3 hours with Customer Service (?) trying to resolve an issue with T3's that will not let me Netfile. I am on my 4th person and have been on hold as of right now for exactly 2 hours and 1 minute.

WARNING, MAYBE YOU FORGOT YOUR LIFE CHANGING EVENT
Buggy, medical bill optimizing tool didn't even recommend the maximum refund allocation! Ridiculously overpriced for SW that largely hasn't changed in 10 years. Mismatch in what online "premier" and desktop "premier" gives you, talk about amateur hour product management. Literally just throws the same "warnings" at you 3-5 times. Pretty sure being asked once if I opened a FHSA is sufficient. Are you sure you didn't dispose of your primary residence?! Really?! Again, are you sure?! totally worth 80$. See you next year :)

Disappointed with Premier

Took over two hours to load program and had to call for help. Have used the turbo tax programs for years with no problems (With the Disk). Seems to be very slow and will lock up on a page for some time before moving to the next. Can save or print a return and not sure why. Verry poor performance this year. May be move to another program for next year.

Late Filing 2024
Filing late 2019 return and CPP overpayment of .35 causes Netfile not to work as you can only claim overpayments for 4 years. Software should know this and allow the adjustment.

Forced to Create an Account ????
I have used CanTax then TurboTax since 1998, and loved it. This year I HAVE TO create an account and make a password???? I won't remember it next year and don't want to be forced to that. I will no longer STRONGLY recommend TurboTax to people and instead STRONGLY discourage it. This is a dealbreaker for me. I don NOT need more online accounts and passwords.

Buggy and Glitchy
I have used TurboTax and it's predecessor Quick Tax for years. For some reason, the downloaded software was corrupted and while it ran on my brand new PC running the latest updates and Windows 11, by the time I got to filing, it said I'd already exhausted all filing licences. The filing counter had run to the maximum without a single return being filed or printed. The poorly trained telephone reps could only tell me to "re-download" the software. No dice. It wouldn't install and nothing I did would cleanly remove the original install of 2023 on my virtually pristine PC. So the only suggestion the dude on the phone had was to find another computer. I asked to speak with a technical person and he told me "we don't have any",
Just apalling considering I spent close to $100 for a piece of software that gets used once essentially and is then useless.
I won't be back.

the best of the worst
This program is really the only choice when it comes to filling out your taxes. It seems that the company is optimizing for profit instead of end user joy. The glitches begin when things get a bit complicated.

Flaws getting worse
Flaws are getting worse. The most glaring is the CWB
The CWB is allocated incorrectly to people not eligible for it. Have already had to repay CRA once (with interest) because of this. Called Turbo-tax help line and got nothing but complete denial even when the agent was mirroring my screen and saw the flaw in action.
Disappointing to say the least.

STRUGGLING TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS NEVER IMPROVES
Your software is poorly designed, cumbersome and laden with promotions. I don't pay for a program to be endlessly nagged about having one of your "experts" help me out. I should be able to opt out of that in the setup and never see those pages again.
The interface is sloppy and the design is lazy. It should be much tighter. One example. I say "i have no RRSP info to enter". The program nags me about RRSPs.
Another example. I'm single. No dependants. Why am I asked about split income after I've told the program I'm single. Why am I asked multiple times whether I've sold a house, even though I indicated I have not.
Having to click past innane repetitive questions is frustrating and a sign of lazy software design.
If I didn't do taxes for a bunch of seniors in my area I would never buy this software again
Let's see if you can do better for TY 2024.

Donations, expenses not assigned properly
Third year that TT Premium fails to assign charitable donations properly if you work from 'forms' entry - try it yourself! Enter "$10000" into a donation in the spousal column: it will be assigned to the primary and can't be changed outside of EasyStep. And the error is invisible. Try to assign medical expenses - again, only possible to claim by spouse through EasyStep - another silent error unless you're watching for it (line 33099)

changes needed
Very difficult to enter values in forms mode. This should be corrected.
Print outs should be available to use prior to final update. They could have a disclaimer as watermark until final is approved.

Premium upgrade is not worth the money.
I started out with the basic version of TurboTax and it started out suggesting that I upgrade to the Premium version. because I have investments. I paid for the upgrade and I did not find anything different from the basic version. So I find no value whatsoever in the upgraded version. Stay away from the Premium Version.

Cumbersome and repetitive
I found I keep getting directed to an area I had just completed, which made feel it wasn't done right. Not direct enough! If you need to make a change, it's starting your return all over.

Poor product maintenance
Application still has glitches from display issues to form correspondence and correlation. Text still makes outdated references, fields do not carry enough information and the application simply makes reference to external websites information instead of providing direct guidance.
