I finished my taxes and in previous years using Turbo tax it lead you right from printing to netfile. Why is it not doing it this year. I have the Premier version

I have been using this tax program for at least 7 years. Every year it got worse and harder to use. All your offers are ridiculous. Maneuvering through the forms to make corrections was painful. I will look for some other program next year. I am completely fed up.

The online version is better than the download one, and both of them are impossible to buy unless you have a Canadian credit card with a Canadian address. The support when trying to purchase is also non existing, they don't read your question or chat history so they don't understand the problem and keep sending you in the same loop over and over again. They let you file as a "non resident" but foreign phone numbers or addresses are not accepted, not for support or in the software itself. It would be nice if they would have mentioned this before you start doing your return and are "stuck" with them. In the end the advice I was given was to have a friend in Canada pay for the software. Also notice that CRA doesn't let you E-file when you're not living in Canada.

Poor customer advertising of the change this year that the 'Digital Download' was not to load the software to your laptop but was just to do the filing online with no 'Easystep and Forms' toggle. Customer service has no "Live person" contact available that works properly as the auto answer interferes in the process so that you never get to a 'Live Person'. Left voice message and emails but no reply was ever received. 'Digital download' means different things to different people. Other companies offer digital downloads of apps to laptops not just a digital forms filing! The version should have been named "Digital Filing Version" as being more descriptive of what someone is buying.

The software is outdated and is from year 2000. But this is not the main point. The main point is that it contains ERRORS that will cost you time and money with CRA or Revenu Quebec. If you are an investor, be very careful with this. For example, they cannot make T5013/RL-15 works working correctly for many years. So stupid that they cannot copy box 12 of RL-15 to box 47 of Schedule G and then NETFILE fails because of that. They are unable to understand and correctly implement other things, like TP-726.20.2-V form, I have to do it on the paper and the file the adjustment. Overall, Intuit does not listen and keep producing the same garbage software year after year.

There was no authorization code in the box. Spent 5 hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue and get an authorization code. I had purchased Premier and they issued a number for Standard. 3 more hours to resolve. Have been using the product for 10 years. This is a deal breaker

Foreign tax slip dividend income was copied into Line 25600 as an other deduction. I was not aware it had done this until CRA brought it to my attention. Net effect: $1,000 tax refund turned into $6,000 tax liability. Also need to have more foreign countries beyond “USA + 2”.

Let me transfer my files from the Online version to the DVD version I purchased this year!! At the least warn your first-time online users that the file will not be compatible with the DVD version next year. I thought the “online version” meant that I would just download the program onto my computer without needing a DVD, not that the entire program would be online. This business decision was horrendous. I use Turbo tax every year for the continuity from year to year. Now that I have had to renter all my information – I might as well just try a different Tax program next year. 1st time I would use a new program in 30 years – horrific business choice. Way too obvious that you are just trying to trick everyone into migrating to the online format.

Nothing is intuitive. The returns of a couple are always linked and difficult to separate. I find it is a poor design. Also not enough room for stock trades. I'm trying to e-file just my return right now and the program is doing my wife's as well and I don't want that.

I've used this software for several years and this version was bad. The interogation led me down a rabbit hole that I couldn't fix. I had to restart the filing . There should be a way to see how The numbers are calculated because I was concerned that mistakes were being made but there was no way to prove it. I couldn't get the audit defence because your site refused to let me log in.

I am very disappointed. After finishing my taxes I needed some help for couple minutes to review couple things. It was almost impossible to find a phone number. Once I located the phone number it was almost impossible to talk to a real person. Finally I was told that it is too late in the tax season to get any help. Apparently all tax advisors where to busy and had no appointments available. However Turbo Tax was happy to take my money for their tax software.

This product offered no benefits over the standard. I purchased it because I was confused on reporting my Questrade documents and this product was no help at all. I would like a refund.

If you have anything above a very basic return, TurboTax will no longer work for you. It can't handle attendant care expenses, pension splitting, death of one spouse, and so many other issues - it can't even print the confirmation page anymore.

Your software does not recognize non-resident NR forms, and it is an nightmare to cope with this. So my conclusion is that I will not use (and buy) it anymore.

I was suppose to file up to 20 returns but somehow after 4 seperate phone calls to the support line, over 5 hours worth of my time, my tax program counter kept getting used up but not by me. I used 3 returns and was no longer able to file anymore as it kept telling me I have exceeded my allowable returns. I had to receive an additional 2 new codes, two seperate times, in order to proceed! Somehow my license code was being shared!!! By who, I don't know and they couldn't tell me either! I will never use Turbotax again. I'm currently on a one hour hold to speak to them again as my license code is being used up again but not by me!!

I was very disappointed. It said I was able to do investments such as cryptocurrency. There was no menu to pull up on left side of screen. I am going to request a refund

The help function was not helpful at all. I had to google all the information. For co-ownership property, there is no proper guidance. I am not even sure it got filed correctly.

I found the software very confusing in filing the investment incomes and their respective expenses. Questions asked in guiding the user are not clear. There are multiple selections referring to the same types of investments so it is not clear which one to choose. I have been using the software for the last several years hoping that there would be some improvements but unfortunately it has always been copy and paste of previous years. This is sure my last year of use. I will try the other software next year.

I upgraded to the Premier - bc it suggested I do so. And it did absolutely nothing different. Waste of money.

works to the end then wont Efile tried multiple times. cra message" errors or omissions " but no indication of what errors or omissions are. so unable to find or fix have used and e filed 7 years always some little problem but able to fix and file

Stop bugging me when I'm doing returns. Let me opt out of all the stuff, i will never use your other services, just need the tax software to prepare and transmit returns. I most likely have better tax knowledge than those working for you.
