Stupid movement through easy step
Net Filed return but could not find how to print voucher when I went back in the next day. Same with many features if you want to go back for a second look. Many questions are not self evident as to what is being asked so mistakes were made. Really poor experience and will be looking into different company next year.

NETFILE RQ
I have been very satisfied with TURBOTAX in previous years however this year there appears to be no option for filing my Quebec return using NETFILE RQ. I have tried to use the HELP option to resolve the problem but it has been of no use. Some information from TURBOTAX concerning this problem would be most helpful. Very frustrating especially after having upgrade from the Basic version of TURBOTAX.

i did two returns. both where filed wrong with data missing and duplicated. I couldn't review it and see if information was in correctly. I can't find on the return where any line numbers are. I couldn't recheck anything and that's what I don't like about this turbo tax

T4A Box 28 poorly programmed
T4A Box 28 poorly programmed in TurboTax for Students who earn small amounts of income from a University.
Amount of return estimated by TurboTax now makes unanticipated changes when entering new information. (Calculation may now be too smart at each step)Overall return calculation is of course still correct.

Product has not kept up with newer monitors
Unfortunately, TurboTax has not help up with advancements in monitors. The font is extremely small (less that 6 pts.) and there does not appear to be a way to increase it. Also, the height of the bottom menu is truncated so less than half of it shows. This was a problem in prior years and seems to be worse this year. I would be concerned that it will become totally inaccessible in future years, so that you cannot manually input receipts and tax slip information.

very frustrating
have used many software packages. this was most frustrating. as certain fields did not accept entries. formats required were not listed in help. spent almost 2 days entering data that was all done on paper forms in advance. very disappointed.

Extremely Slow Software
The software is Okay but VERY slow to use. Between each screen you have to wait 5-10 seconds. It is also frustrating that you can not skip over steps in the easy step process.

Some things never change
Do they ever try to improve this product? Entering capital gains information from T5008s is horrendous, particularly if you are sharing everything with your spouse.... why oh why oh why can't I just enter ONCE the transaction details and have the software allocate it to each spouse, instead of having to double enter everything? And why is there a hidden seemingly-arbitrary limit to the number of T5008 entries you can have?
Utterly stupid, but has been like this for ever with no sign of any improvement. Terrible.

Worst product by this company ever
Not all corrections were included in the prepared return after I reviewed it. I foolishly assumed all the corrections had been made as some things were amended. Thus I have filed an incorrect file .
I will have to open a new file and enter all the data again. I am furious, disappointed and disgusted.

very confusing. no reason given why the income splitting amount are what they are. Is it to keep me below the OAS clawback? Or what?
Getting around in your site is hard. Make it easier.
Explain what is going on.
You don't let me print summary of pages. Why?

Garbage
The print out abilities are limited for unknown reason, and are not helpful. It does not allow to print forms as I wish. That creates unreasonable difficulties for user, and advantages for manufacture to force user to use this software. This is unfair practice and company policy. I can not close unused forms, or not to print them!
The user unfriendly software does not cost that money, what I am have paid!

The 2013 turbotax is the worst one I have ever used. It had so many glitches like when you click a box, it doesn't show a check mark, but if you scroll away, it sometimes then apprears.

THE SCHEDULE 3 EXPERIENCE STUNK, TRY AND FIND SUPPLEMENT SCHEDULE 3, NOT A HAPPY EXPERIENCE, PLUS 2 DISJOINED SECTIONS .. YES THEY TOTAL UP.
OVERALL THE MAKINGS OF A GOOD SYSTEM THAT FORCES THE USER TO "HELP" AND OFF-SITE ADVISE AND GUARANTEES FROM YOUR STAFF.

Lost all confidence
I have bought turbo tax for several years, but I found the 2012 version to be more difficult to use and to find deductions. With premier version and even for basic things such as entering interest on investment loans was complicated and odd. I've lost all confidence in this product. I will likely switch to another software next year.

Worst Purchase Ever
This was my first time using Turbo Tax Premier. I was not impressed
The "Easy Method" is not.
-If you go to a flag, you can not jump straight back
-If filing out a dual return, you can not jump easily from one to the other (but you can in forms mode)
The explanations are poor. Two specific examples.
I was doing some pension averaging. The tool provided a list of options and a recommendation, but not explanation. It should have said, "You are presently paying X in taxes. If you transfer Y in pension, you will save Z." As well, if there is a range that saves the same amount, why would you chose the upper or lower amount.
I can also transfer education expenses from my daughter. It said I could transfer the max, but didn't say whether I should or should not, or the advantages of doing so.
The premier package is not. Other than including investment forms, I don't think I got a single useful prompt on investment tax options. Why the additional cost?
On a positive note, the software allowed my to claim some student costs that other software packages would not.

Product can't add
Capital gains form cannot add negative numbers. So it insists on reporting my overall losses as gains. I will need to file an amendment later. I will also complain to CRA. What a hassle.

Good Runner - Poor Finisher
Unusually difficult program to E-File!! My wife and I filed jointly, as well I filed for my elderly mother. Turbo-Tax would not save our 2012.TAX files, therefore when we went to E-File, the files could not be found nor entered. I went back through our complete filings and made sure that everything was entered properly. I have used this program for quite some time not (both Quick-Tax and Turbo-Tax) but have never has such grief as we had this year! I will probably never use this program again!!

Complicated!
This is my first year using Turbo Tax, and I will not use it again. I am going back to my previous tax program, it was far simpler and had zero advertising in it.
Even with investments and assorted other issues to deal with, it went very quickly and I didn't have to sewarch all over the place for answers to questions. Turbo Tax is cumbersome and should be streamlined. I was very disappointed.
