Great Product
As mentioned in my review last year, it would be nice if TurboTax had a built in calculator to convert U.S. to Canadian currencies. This feature would prove useful when completing one's capital gains, capital losses for stocks, Etfs, and mutual funds.

I made how much?
I made more money last year than I thought I had. TurboTax directed me to a CPT20 Pay CPP. I increase my monthly for ever. That's good.
I did a Joint Election to Split Pension and watched the change in Tax Owed. That was good too.
I owe CRA but TurboTax helped me pay the least.

Always Easy
I have been using turbotax for many years. Every year it gets easier. I do taxes for my spouse and I. If I have questions, the help section is always useful.
I also do taxes for my inlaws. The pension splitting tools are great and have definitely saved me time and money on getting the returns done.

Very nice

Good Value Purchase
Great software! Every year I've used Turbo Tax it keeps getting better. Very satisfied with the way the software is presented using the interview method. It is also much easier now to file my taxes using CRA's net file service. No longer to I need to enter an access code.

Disappointed in Turbo Tax
After I had prepared a return I found that I was unable to file it with CRA electronically.. It says right on the box that the product is designed to work on Windows 8. I use Windows 8.1 but cannot access a file required to make the electronic connection with CRA ...Assistance from Turbo Tax failed and was going to be expensive since charges were adding up while a tech support person sought a solution. What now!

Quite intuitive even for us Seniors
I only made one mistake and that was not scrolling down far enough when I started. I hit the new return button instead of scrolling down and transferring my data from my 2016 return. Maybe a warning window that reminds us to transfer old data before starting. My own stupidity I guess and it only really made me mad at myself when I reviewed at the end and realized I had no comparative figures on the Detailed Summary, which is always a good way to check if you've missed something from year to year. Next year I'll be smarter.

Review of TT2017
I elected to input the info manually from my forms, instead of using the auto input at the site that was suggested. That means that I have eliminated a bit of risk by not providing my info to an arms-length service provider.
It appears that the CRA now recognizes joint filing by spouses, especially when using the pension income splitting option. That means that a refund due to one spouse is considered against what is to be paid by the other!
I was pleased with the format of the review now being used when completing the form(s). Good work!

Very quick and easy. 10 out of 10. I caught 1 of the shares vs non-registered espp so that save me boat loads of time. Only thing i would like a improvement is the help balloon for RRSP/RSP/PRPP/DCPP etc... I had to dig on the web for DCPP and PRPP tax file purposes.
