Consistently Simple
Been doing my own taxes since 2008 - when the product was called QuickTax - and have had no concerns complaints to make. Product is easy to use, takes you through step by step, all I have to do is have my paperwork in order!

Bill's 2022 TurboTax Experience
The medical inputs depend upon one's ability to enter on a limited Medical format complex medical travels, accommodations, meals, especially when patients must travel many kilometers and return on multiple requirements. Also in this category one can only guess how to effectively enter information pertaining to a month long radiation and chemotherapy treatment for a deadly cancer when one has to scramble to find the most economical way to secure accommodation and meals when treatment is urgent and miles from one's home. Also how does one enter easily other requirements like a need for an attendant, like a family member, who also needs accommodation and meals.
I can only hope that I was able to enter medical issues well enough so that CRA people don't tear thair hair out or suffer PTSD.
Anyway TurboTax is a great aid and I salute the producers for their providing this product.

The easy to use go-to tax software
I prefer to enter T Slip and all expense related items myself - not difficult to do, with the individual boxes for each. TurboTax was helpful in determining pension split between spouses to mimize tax savings. However, it failed to point out substantial tax savings by shifting medical expense deduction: it's not always the lower income partner who should claim this.

Step by step data entry makes it easy to use.

First year would take some getting used to it. After that, you are good to go.
I suggest you only get the version with the disk. If you don't and you change your computer, your saved program may not be accessed.

GREAT PROGRAM / SOME PICKS
Overall a great tax preparation software program; I havent tried others such as U-File so its not a program to program comparison.
I like using the EASY process and it has worked for me now for the about 12 years that I have used TURBOTAX and its predecessors.
This year I did find a couple of glitches:
1) On the first go through I wanted to print my return but program would only print my wife's return even though I had selected my return; on the second go through it did priint both returns separately.
2) On my wife's return it returned an "error" ( in several places) as she was over 65 and the program showed an error saying that there was no data entered there; I tried to correct the "error" several times but it kept coming back ( i would go back to correct the "error' and find the data from the OAS form was indeed already there. The error finally blocked doing the NETFILE; I couldnt correct it, once again, so I just checked off "no I didnt get OAS" and proceeded with NETFILE; accepted no problem from CRA.
3) The program tends to switch back and forth at various points between myself and my wife which created a couple of errors I had to correct because I hadnt realized the program had switched. Personally, since I keep separate paper "files" for each of us I would rather do the data input for each person separately.
As I said some minor things; overall the program generally works very well and I would recommend it.

well worth every penny
the only thing i found missing is that where myself and my spouse split the income 50% on real estate rentals, the program won't split it off to the 2nd return, i have to always insert it a second time. that doesn't make sense.

Easy to use
Easy and straight-forward to use. Most things are good. but not easy to find more unusual things. Had trouble with how to opt out of Climate Action Incentive. Did not need to in end but needed to check if it was claimed on spouse's return.
I think Turbos Tax should provide a remittance voucher when tax is owed.
