I used a competitors software for years and did the same this year. I found, this year, that the software was very hard to understand and I was so frustrated with the product that I took the lose and bought a Turbo Tax program. I found this program fairly easy to follow and that I can trust the end result. After using Turbo Tax on a simple return, I input the same information on the other software and came up with different amounts. I will use Turbo Tax as my software of choice from here on in.

Good program
I took the easy step instead of going directly to the forms because it seems a long time since last years tax filing.
I think the easy step could be improved and the filing made quicker by inserting the form line number next to the information we enter then we could check off using the printed form that all our information has been included

No identifiaction of person you are answering for
I found that during the easy step method the identification of the person for whom the questions are being asked is not displayed on the screen. This forces me to go back a number of steps to see if I am putting in information for myself or for my spouse. This is especially important if you are unable to complete the taxes during one sitting. This would make the process easier and less intimidating for first time users and provide more confidence that all the questions are being answered correctly.

good value and not too complecated
I have used Turbo Tax for a couple of years now and I must say it is the way to do taxes. yes it takes time but the program guides you right through everything. The only complain that I have is that some definitions are not really explained well so that I had a hard time figuring out if the spot was right for my info.

Turbo tax is a program that I have used for many years now. We have fairly simple taxes and this program allows me to enter all information in a timely manner and saves all information to carry forward to the next year. Good program.

Didn't Transfer address info
This is the first year Turbo Tax didn't tranfer address info from the previous year. I had to enter that info as well as some other required info.
Otherwise I'd have given it 5 stars

Good product, if you've got the time to spend.
Using this program is easy but time consuming. The version we purchased was not compatible with Mac, but luckily we had the chance to borrow a PC. We decided to try TurboTax for the first time, rather than use an accountant and we are, so far, pleased with the results, however, I do have to stress how much time and a bit of tax understanding is required to use this. We didn't pay for any of the add-ons, there seems to be several message boards online and in the sidebar that any questions we had were quickly answered.

Good and bad.
The personal tax software was good right through to the net file. The corporate tax software was good up to the net file. I spent 3 days trying to netfile. I finally just gave up, printed the return and mailed it!

I do the taxes for my in laws which involves over 80 entries with the same name, supplier and description.
