Suggestions
Couples who own investments jointly should only have to enter information relating to dispositions of shares and other properties once with a percentage allocation like we can do for investment income.
You should not ask for the amount of pension income we wish to split until it is time to run the optimizer.
It would be nice if we could just enter the donation amounts and let the optimizer suggest who should claim the donation deductions.
If you were to make these improvements, I would give the program a 5 star rating across the board.

Browsers
Suggest that Internet Explorer not be the only browser linked to hyper linked text. Thinking end users should have the choice to select which browser works best for them on their machines.

Draft file for records
I did not like the Draft file for records Watermark that appeared without explanation on my return. Not at all user friendly. No over ride given. I will consider other software if this doesnt change.

Old reliable
I have used Intuit tax programs for years and found them to be very good. How ever, it is helpful if you have a knowledge of some tax basics as some provinces have special programs that don't come up a useful format using Easy Step.
Also when you are filing husband and wife's returns, it shows the over all amount owing not on the file you are working on. For example, if one spouse owes $500 and the other $1500 it will show that $2000 is owed. You have to go to details to find out which is for the file you are preparing.

Solid Basic Tax Prep Software
The 2012 Std Edition once again was simple to use, provided amply opportunity to check on applicable deductions and to ask specific straight forward questions. I would not hesitate to use the program again next year.

Its Over
This was the tax year from heck, Everything normal was easy. Anything go back was challenging.
If I said I needed the form initially on easy step it should automatically blank if I made the change. It didn't and it told you, But I had trust issues when sending double checking any changes made over and over. So good program but a lot of second guessing made it challenging

Easier to use than previous.

Only one problem
My carry forward rrsp limit is nil. I have an unused carry forward RRSP balance. The Turbo tax program does not accept the nil rrsp limit.

Simple to Use
This is my second year using Turbo Tax Standard. It is very straight forward. Get your financial and personal information prepared, they away you go!
My only suggestion to TT for next year, if there are "Warnings" or "Errors" then please have them highlighted in a colour in order for the user to find the error easily.

I've been using it since 2008. It's a good software, with the "interview" system and all the checks.
I couldn't recommend it more!
P.S.: change your review system... Down there on "Prior Tax Prep Method" still has QuickTax. :-)

some problems again this year
I found that I was unable to enter one of my T4--- slips in easy step. After entering it as requested it showed that there was 0 entered. Trying to fix this in easy step would not work. I had to go to forms to complete this step!

Easy to use and Stable
Only suggestion is that it would be nice if the program could suggest an additional tax payment from my paycheck so that I did not have to pay at the end of the year next year provided other factors did not change.

makes taxes bearable
appreciate turbo tax, use it for the whole family and home based business...one complaint re printing return..cant print double-sided to save on paper because the checklist cant be printed seperately...very annoying

Print is too small
For those like myself with failing eyesight (and there must be lots of us), the font size and colours (grey and light blue) are really hard to read.
THere is already more than enough white space on each page so making the print a little larger shouldn't
detract from - it is easy to lose you place when the question and answer are separted by six or more inches of blank space.

Save as PDF and printing
I could not save as PDF or print......tried everything....wanted to save as PDF before submitting Netfile..both save as PDF and print would just disappear and do NOTHING.....searched everwhere on my filesystems....no new files.....gave up....installed TurboTax 2012 on another computer.....same thing....but this time i proceeded several pages further in the process....the save as diagog popped up....as well as print later.....it should pop up right away when I click on the option.....I was using easystep too......went back to first computer......it complained that I had opened return on another computer....processed returns normally now that I know that the window would not pop up for multiple screens......wasted several hours of my time.....always been happy with this software.....will look at other options next year..

More bugs this year
Lots and lots of good things to say. It is a pain when there are bugs however that are unnecessary and prevent Netfile. Out of four returns only one could be completed without going to print and mail.

TINY SCREEN TEXT -- TOO SMALL!!!
Once again I am complaining about the TINY TEXT SIZE for the screen font. There is no way to increase the size (i.e. like "View" in any other application - 125% // 150%). The default font size is TINY TINY TINY and for anyoen over 40 years old it's a pain in the butt -- I do not want to change my entire system setting for screen font size. I just want to adjust turbo tax font size.
FIX THIS - THE POPULATION IS AGIN - MORE PEOPLE NEED MORE OPTIONS FOR LARGER FONT SIZE!!

Still grey/blue text on a grey/blue background - how about improving the contrast a bit?
This year did not see a summary of return values as we proceeded
Seemed more difficult to step out of the follow the bouncing ball mode and return to wher I left off - had to restart.
