Excellent software
Turbo Tax is what I have been using for the last 3 years and it has proven to be simple and efficient to prepare taxes.
One item I would like to see changed is that my preferred browser be used instead of defaulting to Internet Explorer for Netfile.

Why the adds?
Loose the adds within the workflow! I've paid for the product, I don't want to see that stuff. Otherwise, a good piece of software.

History
I have been using TurboTax (Intuit) for years and find that it is easy and strait forward to use. The easy step method is a series of questions that require answers if it is applicable. Later you enter the information in windows that are from the answers provided.

Good Value for Moneey
I have been filing my own returns via Quicken/Turbo Tas for over 10 years and find that it is easy and convenient. Prior to that I had an tax professional do my taxes but I found errors and was given incorrect advice on occasion. Now I just look everything up as I file out my return and can access answers for any questions already posted by others using the software which saves so much time. The only draw back is that you cannot buy it for just one return as I only use it to file mine. It is easy to navigate through and it only takes about 20 minutes to complete (depending on your tax situation). When I had rental income I had to buy the delux one and that was pretty helpful too. The best part is that filing on-line ensures a quicker refund, and who doesn't like that?

Efficiency
Filing taxes is about as much fun as getting an inquisition or having your teeth drilled by a dentist. Any kind of tax software does most of the tedious work like calculations for you and allows you to get done faster. It also maximizes your deductions and refund credits.

"Berry Berry Good"
Using this product is very easy and should not prove to be a problem for most folks. On the year over year chart, headings should stay in place at top of screen. Not move out of view when scolling down. Have to scroll up again and again to see what column you are looking at is a pain. But a very nice tool I have to say. Good work!!

Why you should use Turbo tax
In order to file my return I have been using Turbo tax for many years, but for comparison purposes I buy and use other tax software as well, I have found that Turbo Tax did a better job than other tax preparation software by getting bigger returns than the other software.

I found this years turbo tax very easy to use and simple.

Overall, good value. it does need some improvements in the areas that deal with severance amounts that can be rolled over into an RRSP outside the normal limits. It does this but does not explain it well.

Turbo Standard
Very useful. About the 6th year I have used this software. Easy to go to forms or easy step method.
However, The font is small and I would like to be able to increase the size eg. from 10 to 12 on all the pages.
Second, in theREVIEW section, if you have to leave it to check another sheet, you have to start the review all over again. This is wasteful and time-consuming.
Sometimes difficult to get back to an optimizer to re-use it.
Overall a good quality product.

Confusing words
I found one item under the print & file tab confusing .
CRA Netfile -Additional Information.
Do you have NO Income to report Answers yes or No. I find the use of this double negative wording confusing. It could be stated clearly in another way.

This year when you hit the 'print to mail' it only printed the basic Fed part. For love nor money I couldn't get it to print everything ..ie: Schedules and Ont etc etc. Most annoying. Help button was "0" help. Had to go and print each page individually.
I don't ever remember having this trouble with the product before.

Changing?
The 2012 edition of turbotax seemed more difficult to enter Self-employment business figures, while TT touted the benefits of an upgrade from "Standard". Or maybe I'm getting careless. But after I discovered a problem, could not excise or change, necessitating re-doing the entire return. But still I do not think I could stand the stress of attempting a return without TurboTax helping so much.

Easier every year
I would like if a change was made to the program to allow automatic populating of certain cells. When you are listing medical expenses, you need to enter the name of the product, who it is paid to and the name of the patient. In most cases, the names are the same so less typing would be required.

A useful tool
I've been using tax software for over 10 years. I like that I can do my taxes without having to go to a tax service.
My biggest complaint is that the font used to guide us through the steps is much too small. I have a 19-inch screen and still have to squint to be able to read the instructions. I'm sure this problem would be an easy fix for the programmers.

Well-That Was Easy
