I always found this product suited my needs quite well, but now that I am working and residing in a different province that my wife, I cannot apply using the joint application, as husband and wife

Overated
Not to bad overall.. But, I would like to see more clarity for the lamen when dealing with tax lingo. There is the option to pay more to chat with an advisor, but, after already having to pay for this software, it's not something that I would consider.
Not entirely please with the software since it crashed half way through my return... Although, I can blame this on having to use a PC..

Better than last yeAR

Using the Optimizers
I am not happy about the optimizers. I do not use the easy step method, preferring instead to enter my information directly. Problem is I need to access the optimizers for charitable donations, medical expenses, income splitting, etc. Can you please make these available to all users without having to go back and essentially re-enter all the data in the easy-step dialogue?

Great Software
I've been using this software since QuickTax and found it's most valuable and easy to use. But if you have a chance, please buy this as soon as possible when the retailers are on sale. You can buy it at least 25% discount from the list price.

complete deal
Has all schedules and forms for nearly every application including multiple businesses (unicorporated). Using form view quite simple for anyone with a tax or accounting background. Help screens could be a little more detailed for both technical and tax questions, but it is a good value for the price.

Turbo Tax first time user
So much easier to use than trying to wade through the old paper returns! I do recommend that you read through some of the help tips along the way. It allows you to go back and fix any errors (I made a couple). Save to your computer and print a copy. Using Netfile to file the returns done through Turbo tax only took a few minutes - instant confirmation.

Minor improvements would make it Excellent
A really good tax program that could still use a little refinement. The dividend boxes on Forms T3 and T5 very confusingly aggregate actual, taxable, and dividend tax credit amounts and produce a total which is very hard to check back on. I suggest limiting input to taxable amount only (as in T5013); the credit will be automatically calculated from it.
The input box for Form T5013 doesn't follow the form itself; one might have to go to one or two additional input slips to find the requisite box, Suggestion: just keep them in numerical order.

Great purchase
the product is great and generally easy to use, however, I had issues with whom should claim the medical expenses as my spouses income was slightly higher and the optimizer suggested that i make the claim.
My son bought the product and then gave it to me, so really great value if other family members could use it.

Quality item that continues to improve annually
I've used the TurboTax products since 2003 (Quicktax before). It's unfortunate, that some of the rental business and self employed in depth information has been fractured off to other versions from the Standard version. Of course the argument can be made, that it's still there in the Standard version, but you have know how to access it.

tax helper
First year I used Turbo tax and I am quiete surprised how easy and helpful the software is. I did my kids tax return too and it all went without a glitch. Turbo tax calculates it precisely and tell me right away how much tuition expense are left for transfer to parents. I am satisfied, and from now on, I will be using Turbo tax every year for ease and speed of doing tax returns.

Gets the job done
I can not compare this product to others as I have used Quick Tax and now Turbo tax. It makes doing tax easier. But to the average person like my self, and not all the rules, the program assumes things that you do not want to do. Then it leaves you questioning if you are doing things right. The program has improved. You can not program for each person. But still, the program can improve. It still beets doing the tax by hand. Oh and I have a newer computer and high speed internet. But still could not get the help videos to work.
