Fell a little short
Overall, a good tax program but I found it difficult and confusing on how to transfer tuition credits even using the 'Easy Step program'. I was muddling through but it was taking too much time so I called for assistance and they suggested using the 'forms' method. They walked me through and I got it completed, but to me it should have been easier, and I shouldn't have had to use the 'manual' method when I didn't have to use that method to do anything else. Hope you improve upon this in the future.

the only hard thing was trying to netfile finding the .tax is a pain turbotax needs a easier way to do it, but good going thro the forms and stuff

This is the 3rd year using turbo tax it is very easy to use and it helps you correct if you make a mistake. I am no accountant but i find myself learning as i go along.

Less Stress
I always hate doing my taxes. With Turbo tax, the stress is minimal. As long as you have all your forms and info it takes less than an hour and your done!

Improvements each year!
Compared to UFile, TurboTax has fewer bugs and has better instructions and interface. The FAQs are informative. Glad to see improvements to the product each year!

Easy to use
Turbo tax is easy to use for uncomplicated tax returns. Sometimes wished deductions were more easily identified in descriptions but explanations weren't hard to find.

Who saved money?
The program itself is well done and easy to follow. My problem with this has nothing to do with the software but the value of filing online. I have to pay for the software and cover the cost of printing the report and mailling it. I do not want the governament to have access to my bank information nor do I trust sending sensitive information via the internet. So It is not cost saving for me to use the software. This was my first time to use the internet to prepare my report. I received a letter from the CRA encouraging Canadians to use the internet to file as it would save money and time. So far, the only one that saved and/or made money are the CRA and the software companies. For next year, I will return to filing a paper report and save money. I do admit that using the software made filing the report much quicker. I would recommend this software to my friends that want to file online.

Reliable as always
With 6 people in the family, doing tax returns electronically is a must. I've been using Turbo tax for years and couldn't do without it. It makes what could be a complex task easy!

Great product
Terrific product for the do-it-yourselfers...pretty much hand holding happens all the way through the preparation process. Very helpful tabs included on CRA rules and other useful information.
Only gripe about this product is that the automatic downloadable version for each year costs MORE than you can get it at a retail store...needs attention to fully carry great customer service ALL the way to build ear after year loyalty!

I was a first time user. The program was very slow to change screens. The Netfile aspect was confusing as the Demo video did not depict all the steps involved. The Easy flow method worked well and there were no issues whatsoever with the Math.

Great program to save money
Why pay double the amount to have someone else prepare your return and not work for you. Find out where you are missing money and get back what you deserve. You can save lots of money, especially if your a family as the price for software is a fraction of what you have to pay someone to do it. More refund, more money in your pocket!

Your software does not ask me to input my RRSP contribution. It tells me the maximum number that it could be, thus impying that it has the information becasue I actually contributed this amount. BUT - it does not enter the amount nor does it give me the opportunity to do so. I had to go into forms and enter it by hand. I've run into this in the past as well - it is very very annoying to say the least.

Ive always used a tax service in the past but they are becoming way too expensive so I tried TurboTax for the first time this year. It is actually very easy to use. I had a few questions though that I could not find answers for and ended up searching for support. That was the hard part, finding answers to questions that weren't on the list. I ended up at tech support and finally got the answers I needed but they could definately improve that part. Overall I'll most likely use this again next year.

Easy to Use
Pretty easy to use with most answers provided for the things you aren't sure about. Seems to try to get you all the credits you are entitled to. Definitely worth using. Was definitely quicker than the manual return I helped someone with.

Does a good Job
Used this product for many years and like it. This year i wished it would recognize previous capital losses and apply them to current gains. I had to tinker with it to do that-was not automatic.

OK to use but...
The product does make taxes more palatable to process, but there really needs to be a way to ENLARGE THE TEXT on the screens. I have bifocals and have to get almost on top of the screen to see all the fine print.
Make the text size adjustable!

Optimize?
I am very happy with the program with one exception. I would like to know why the pension splitting "optimizer" selects an amount significantly less that the "maximum" that is calculated by the program. It would be nice to show the difference in the 2 calculations and if we got the maximum returns.
