Good Buy
TurboTax is very easy to use. I have been using this program for the past 5 years, and have always been able to file my returns with no problems. Just make sure that you choose the right product for your needs.

Like it but...
I like Turbo Tax but each year the last three years that I have filed there has been an error in transfering some information to the forms section. One year it did not transfer our day care amount and another it was the tool amount.

easier and quicker that paper.
Using the easy steps, it was not clear where to enter interest paid on student loans so I had to track down the form and enter it there.

Suggestion
When completing the income portion, having the T4A(OAS) & T4A(CPP) window before the miscellaneous T4A information would help to reduce confusion. When the T4A input window comes first, and you don't know that there will be a separate T4A(OAS) etc. window following, you think you have to enter your T4A(OAS) etc. information on the T4A miscellaneous screen.

good purchase
the only thing i don't like about this program is that i never know if the "optimizer" has actually done anything. There should be a message that says "we have optimized your deductions".

Nice Product
Nice product but it would be nicer if we could adjust the font size used by the software within the "view" menu instead of having to play with the DPI setting of the whole computer as is suggested in the help menu.

improvements
To make this system more user friendly I would suggest some type of "deduction search" that would allow someone to explore possible deductions. Also some of the terms used in this are not understood unless you are an accountant.

2012 Turbo Tax Time
Just finished filing taxes for the season and for the fifth year in a row I saved a lot of time transferring over previous data from the year before using Turbo Tax. I like switching from easy step to forms view in order to see where I am at & if my intuition is right about a certain claim. I used to complete my own taxes on paper and although I love saving time not having to do the math manually - I still like following along line by line. Turbo Tax guides you through all the possible scenarios that may apply to you and if applicable, as long as you have your information handy, completing the return thoroughly is quite smooth.

Missing Box numbers
On some slips there are boxes missing with no explanation and had to go to help to find out why. Explanations should be at each section to save hours of trying to figure out.

Good but no Mac version available
PC version good. Just got Mac so need a Mac version to continue on next year. Will not fill out my returns online. Please supply one for 2013 or I have to go elsewhere.

TURBO TAX 2013
Overall I had a good experience with turbo tax this year. However, I would reccoment that everyone use the free turbo tax software available on the website and pay for the upgrade to the applicable software as required. Some of the automatic capabilities of the online version will save you alot of time.

Medical Entry a major pain
Is there some way that you can simplify entering medical data? I had to enter my name every time yet I know that a simple software change would allow the name to be held until a change is entered. Same thing with 'Who got paid' line.
When you have to enter such basic stuff 60 some odd times it get really irritating.
