Much Improved
I have used this product in the past before it was renamed. Last year, I had to file the paper method, and this year, I am returning to TurboTax, and I'm quite happy!

Name Tabs
I found it difficult to determine whose return I was on at times. I would like to see some kind of identification on every screen with the individual's name plus the option to toggle back and forth between spouse's returns.

Getting better every year
I don't know how they can improve TurboTax any more but I expect it will happen next January.
Let's hope that they can keep the costs, even with this year's copy. Keep up the good work.

continued value and ease of use
After using this software for several years I encouraged my daughter to file her own return. She walked thru the program with relative ease - I just looked over her shoulder to provide minimal help and encouragement so she could understand the responses and the point of each step.

Easy but pricer

Needs more relevant help
I wish it would tell what each deduction means when it's asking me to check it off in the list of deductions. The way it's set up now, I have to select each one and go through the steps to find out if I can actually claim it.

1 snag (that wasted my time)
Generally TurboTax is good (I've been buying it for many years). But I had 1 snag with it this year:
The Pension Income Splitting Optimizer indicated I would get a slightly larger refund by splitting a small amount of income with my spouse. That surprised me. I had to carefully check all numbers affected, for both cases (splitting and not splitting). That check showed the Optimizer was wrong.

Reasonabley easy to use, Easy to move back and forth through menues to try out, change or add information. The auto up date and ability to keep track of depreciation of cars etc from previous years is very nice.

This remains one of the easiest and most complete home tax software packages! I have filed each of my family membes taxes for the past 5 years and been EXACT to the PENNY with the Refunds/Owed amounts! Bravo!

The program does pretty well everything to you need to file your tax return. The only beef I have is that the standard program does not offer the tools to deal with capital gains. They want you to upgrade to the Premier version for this. All you really need a simple tool to calculate your capital gains which I do with a spreadsheet. This simple tool should be included in the Standard program in my opinion. Then I would rate it 5 stars.

Easy to use...But small text!
I find this program very easy to use and have been using TurboTax/QuickTax for over 10 years. The only comment that I can make on this program is that the layout could be better. Text could be larger and easier to read. My eye site is not what it used to be and it seems that the text keeps getting smaller and more spread out in this program with each year.

Ease if use
I use Turbo Tax each year to file my taxes because it is easy to complete my return using the Easy Step option. Everything I need is right there with just a few clicks of the mouse. The ability to then Netfile my return allows me to have the funds in my bank account much quicker than when I used to mail it in.

Corrections
It would be very helpful if info fixes could be highlighted on the form as your directions are very difficult to navigate. I attempted corrections multi[ple times before getting the correction right--very frustrating for baby boomer users!

User friendly
I have used Turbo Tax / Quick Tax for many years to do our Canadian income tax. It is a user friendly program designed for just about anyone to use. If you read all of the directions, instructions and review carefully you will have no problem completing a properly prepared tax return.
I highly reccomend it to everyone.
A fair price for a great product.

Great until electronic filing
I've used TurboTax for 3 years and have had great experiences however this year I hit a snag. After going through my filing (which is very easy) it would not allow me to select the option to file through Netfile online. After searching the reviews this seems to be a common issue despite me meeting all the criteria to do this and doing it last year. I will be mailing my return.
Otherwise it's a very easy program and is a much better alternative to paying someone else to do it.
