Easier all the time
I've used Intuit's Tax products for years and this year was no exception. TurboTax 2012 made tax preparation a breeze and, having not net-filed before, this process was extremely simple. Now if I could only find an option in the application that would pay any taxes owing.... maybe next year.

This was my first year using Turbo Tax Standard. Overall I found it easy to use but in places hard to line up my answers to the questions, without the use of line highlighting. Appreciated the tax saving and additional income message incorporated into the program. Thought that there were some biases in the programs i.e. assumes donation at 5% or less of annual income to be normal and gives a warning message of amounts in excess of this. This message should be upped to 10 - 15% or removed completely.

Tabs
Would recommend more tabs or sub tabs to help move back and forth through the sections and make the sections specific for an individual as it is paired if there is a joint return.

To make it easier
I would find it much easier to use IF
Instead of asking " Who would like to claim this amount".
Say "It is best if you claim" or " it is best if your spouse claims"
This would make it unnecessary to do all the optimizing.

Bug after filing Quebec
There is a Bug when attempting to print the tax return after filing with Quebec, after transmitting the file the screen for printing the return does not respond and you have to exit the program to continue. you can only print using the printing menu option.

pretty good
we got this last year and same this year, transferring info from last year was great, wasn't a lot we had to put in this year but we kept going back to medical expenses and trying different ways of finding savings, in end we haven't claimed any med exp's this year but will add to next years in the hope it will be a positive figure, overall we like the software and will use again.

Got the job done!
Turbo Tax got the job done. There were a couple of frustrating moments but telephone assistance was helpful and didn't keep me waiting. Will use Turbo Tax again next year.

Help is always there
But sometime you need to look for it. Filing this easy was quick and easy, Despite several area of numbercrunching I spend far less time than I did last year. Two time I need to look for help to address two different issues issue. The live community was very helpful and immediatly helped solve my problem in one instance. The second was simple but required a phone call. Overall I'm quite happy with the return. One critizism is that I needed to go to the forms view several times to fill out some areas which easy step didn't cover for me

Solid product
Product is quite good. Been using it for 5 years now. Most things are quite intuitive. However the boards and finding the answers needed when things are not clear can be quite difficult. Overall definitely worth purchasing.

Turbo Tax makes taxes easy
Without Turbo Tax I'd have to pay someone to take care of my personal taxes every year. With this programs I have some control over the tax process and am actually able to understand it.

Easy to use
This is an easy product to use, but be cautious about using the "Like Us on Facebook" link. I did that the first time I used the 2012 version, and it hung up my system. I had to do my tax return over again.
Apart from that, the software is delightfully easy to use, especially if you use "EasySteps." I'll buy this software again and happily recommend it to others.

Turbo Tax too slow to launch
