Easy to use
I'm used to doing taxes on paper fairly quickly. With the TELEFILE changes this year I bought TurboTax to NETFILE. It was easy to use and gave me no problems at all

Good for Current year
I have used this product for 3 years now. The only thing I don't like is that I can't open up the previous years to check certain lines. I made the assumption at the time that I could just open the old .tt11 file with the new tax year software. I don't need to make any changes, I just want to view the information in the forms. It would be nice if there was an option to do this easily available on the first screen. I do like that you have added the print to .pdf this year so I can save my return and view it. I hope you don't decide to remove this feature, as getting the info out of the old file types is irritating.

Good Value!
Excellent year after year tax filing system, both step by step and forms approach work very well. Best par is all the checks before netfiling. it picked up the smallest of errors. Only issue with the 2012 version is a very poor installation process from the enclosed CD.

Good value for my purposes
When I ask for help within the program, I would like to get a direct answer from TurboTax, rather than having a collection of others' thoughts and opinions. Access to CRA's tax guide would be extremely useful.

ON-BEN form
Usually I am very pleased how this program works but I had issues with the ON-BEN form and unsure how to resolve. The program would print the file copy of the ON-BEN but not the copy to be submitted to CRA even though taxpayer is eligible. The property tax amount is in the keying schedule - perhaps this is all that CRA needs.

live on line help
I could not find the live help when i needed it and then found out that you have to pay for it. I think that it should be free after all we pay enough for these packages. I also had a hard time finding where my taxes were saved. Also I think the first thing that pops up when u go to use this program is an automatic update. I could not file my taxes and after days of waiting realized that i should look at the updates and that worked.

Excellent program
The only complaint I have with this program is the printing. The numbers are printed blue on a grey background which is very difficult to read.

Confused on tax split
Tax Splitting, is a little confusing,as adds the amount split to the spouse for a new total income,and does not change(deduct split amount from the pensioner total income line. The original spousal earnings gets lost through replacement stated above. When looking at detail tax summary, you show an inflated combined total. (the split $ amount). The same inflated combined total is shown on Quick graphs, and makes you think you made a mistake somewhere.

Readability
The Font sizing in many of the pages I found too small & therefore it was difficult to read. Not sure why you couldn't have a text increase /decrease button on the page. If you don't know how to do that then have the font at least 12 & preferrably 14 pitch

Not compatible with online version
I've been using TurboTax/Quicktax for many years. Last year I used TurboTax Online. This year, because I found the CD version for $15 cheaper than the online version, I bought it. I assumed that you could transfer the data from 2011 online to 2012 CD version. Nope. You have to put it all in again! What a waste! Considering it is the same program, I was very disappointed. Very inconvenient.
Please change this for next year. Otherwise pretty good program.

Cares more than a Professional
I used Turbo Tax years ago then when my situation changed I went to a professional. I was just a number to him and he didn't care enough to be thorough and when he made a mistake charged me to fix it. Went back to Turbo Tax and for the last 3 years tax time has been stress free. This software is more thorough than the tax accountant!

Easy to use
Very simple to use, only issue was when I proceeded to submit for Netfile it complained about my address having and invalid character. Turns out it was the '.' at the end of Dr., had to spell out 'Drive'.

turbo tax works for me
I really enjoy using turbo tax for my tax returns. I find it easy to use and helpful for any question I may have.
I also really like that it carries the last year into the current year, which saves time with simple things like inputting names and addresses.
