Your program used to be user friendly, but it seems that now it is more difficult to go back and change something. I eventually just deleted the file I was working on and started all over again. I have been using Turbo/Quick Tax for quite a few years and find it just a bit more complicated each year. I would gather that who ever is designing it, knows what it is all about, but for the average layman, not so easy.

Only bug I found is the use of the comma as the decimal point in dollar amounts instead of the period... this bug has been there for the last few years ... if you don't knoe this it won't accept any dollar amounts with cents as you enter your T forms

Hint
Have to be careful right at the outset to make sure that you click on the boxes to enter all the info, had to go back 3 times to enter in the RRSP info, the assistant was not helpful, will not get help next year.

Another Good Year
Fairly straight forward to purchase. Had one little glitch this year where my card was not processable the first day I tried. Customer support was friendly and helpful but they had a problem with cards from that particular company that day. Tried it the next day and there was no issue.
The program was easy to use as usual and I got our families returns processed, netfiled and printed in
a couple hours.

Confusion
The program is great, and I have used it for a number of years. However, this year I became confused sveral times. In the final steps the wording is something like, "do you have no income to report yes/no. My first read, I said yes, since I have no further income to report, but the program wanted no because I did report income????
THe view netfile demo gave me a screen full of unreadable characters.

Just follow directions
Just follow the directions, the program will guide you through, not sure say yes and you will get the other info you need to make the right choice.

Somewhat Reliable
I've been using Turbo Tax since before it became TurboTax. It does the job well and I use it because my family purchases it. I noticed some improvements in the software this year which was great, but I do find it runs very slowly, with a lot of questions to answer, and sometimes, despite the number of detailed questions, the process can still be confusing. Somehow they are not as straightforward as I would expect them to be. That and, after answering so many questions, my eyes begin to hurt. I would also like to see a zoom-in option to make reading of the text easier.

Gets a little better every year. The only frustrating annoyance is the navigation buttons ... better if they were in the same position on every page; so I don't have to scroll the page and move the mouse about when skipping back and forth more than one page.

Easiest to use ever
The 2012 Turbo Tax was easier to use than ever... and since the CRA has changed the way we can Netfile... it makes filing your return a piece of cake...

Very Good - But...
Very good but the live advice didn't work. Everything else was fine.
I bought the 2012 Standard and it was supposed to include the live tax expert but it wouldn't let me use it as it said there was script errors on the page and as a result the feature was useless. Other than that it was great!

Reduced Benefits each year
A very good product with a few new concerns. The NetFile Demonstration did not work. A required payment if you needed help was also a new feature that came as a surprise..
I'll likely use the system next year but Please " no more reduction in services to what had been a very good product.

Turbo Tax Standard 2012
Turbo Tax user for 10 years. Product is easy to use.
However, with the 2012 version I could not view the net File Demo. When it opened my browser (Internet Explorer) the text was in unreadable characters (gobble dee gook).
The Easy Step method makes preparing tax returns quick & easy. The Planner mode is also a valuable tool.

easy to use
I have used this program in the past. I retired in 2012 and for the first time, I used the "income splitting" section. Just add the numbers to a few lines and all the rest falls into place.

Always have problems with net file. Do not find the instructions complete or clear. View how to net file was unable to read on my Windows XP. When I called the 1-800 number service was very good.

Use it every year
I do income tax for myself, my wife, 3 of my children and their spouses. This product is the best investment for me because none of them pay me to do it. Maybe they should!!!.

It may be helpful to go into Forms and have the menu opened on the side to select which form you need instead of having to click on a form button and then click on the form.
