Everything went well except I had difficulty inserting my workplace Retirement Saving Plan amounts. The program did not easily take me to the fields I needed. i.e. March to Dec contribution 2012 and Jan to Feb of 2013. This step was easier last year.

Find the donation optimizer somewhat lacking. I found I could do better by trying different scenarios than by using the optimizer. In the review section it was suggested that the donation benefit could be maximized by splitting the donations between spouses and carrying forward some to next year, however, the optimizer then did not do that. And the refund it came up with was less than what I was able to get using my trial scenarios. Disappointing! Not that I managed to calculate a better refund, but that the program hadn't done it for me.

I buy it every year.
This year at first I had trouble using turbo tax, it seemed to have errors on it. But then I realized that I need to run it as an administrator and then it worked like a charm. Thank you.

Works for Me

Stop Charging for basic features
I've used Turbotax for several years. Although the software works well. I am disappointed that Intuit feels that it is a premium service and charge more to transfer data from the previous year's tax return. Not the best way to reward customer loyalty. No complaints about the actual application.

Simple to use
It took me less than 2 hours from start to finish to complete tax returns for me and my spouse and Netfile them as well! The sortware is easy to use and there is lots of helpful advice.

Easy to Use
Turbotax was easy to use, step by step, asked all questions needed to fill out return. 40 minutes for me, wife and 2 kids. Netfiled at the end and I was done. Will be using next year.

Solid product purchase
I purchased turbotax because I couldn't find a uFile program anywhere as they are only doing online purchasing now? But after everything was finished I was pleased with this purchase. Was much simpler using TurboTax then using uFile.

So easy to use!
I used Turbo Tax to do my return, the return for my retired mother and for my single son, my married son and his wife.
It was so easy, each return only took a few minutes to do. Turbo Tax also helped me find deductions that I might otherwise have missed. It pays for itself.

Good but could be better.
Overall I liked the product, but two things concerned me. 1) There was too much advertising throughout, and 2) Although the Netfile video was fine it left one thinking the whole process was too complicated. I hope in the future there could be written instructions one could print and follow step by step. Or perhaps the software will get easier like an Easy Step for netfile users.

TT 2012
Overall this continues to be a good expereince and seems to get easier each year. Do not find the saley bits excessive and the step through process easy to follow.
I only have 2 complaints. When I updated the version as suggested and let TT restart, it could not find my file. (Exiting the SW and restarting from short cut solved this problem.)
As the Netfile procedure changed this year, I asked to run the demo but this failed as I did not have IE8 installed and did not want to install it. (Just winged the Netfile Process.)
