upgrades failing
I did not successfully apply upgrade due to error code TT3021. Reference back to a previous year's tax software did not give me confidence that this would work if tried. It would be preferred to send a full updated version of the software rather than complex instructions to de-install etc.

As a senior over 75 I found this edition quite confusing at first. I wish there had been more instructions given re: using the combind tax return for husband and wife where a portion of the husband's pensions were being transferred to the wife.

Good experience every year
This software is one of the few I've seen that allows me to specify deductions claimed for dependents that are shared with another individual (ie: deduction for children under 18). Very helpful!

Great Program but ...
I have been using this product since it was Cantax, then Quicktax and now Turbotax. There are some things about the interface that I find 'wonky'. One is that in going back to a section you must move through all the screens to get to the end to find the screen you want. There is a screen near the beginning that is several screens wide and to get to the continue button you must scroll to the right to find it to proceed. there were a few other minor blips this year but I managed to finish and file in about an hour for both my wife and I.

Easy to Use
I have used this program for years and have always finished my family's taxes with no problems. If you have an average family with tax returns to do then turbo tax is for you.
The only problem I had was buying it online when it showed a reduced price it still charged me full price. No matter I purchased it anyway.

Overemphasis on Turbo (meaning FAST)
Title expresses Turbo and I feel that it does not state the thoroughness or trustworthiness of your product. I was a long time loyal user of QT before it became Turbo Tax. So my move to Turbo Tax came with my foreknowledge of QT. Without that previous experience I would have given a pass to this Turbo
Tax program just for the name. To me it implies that FAST is the product signature, and that the trustworthiness and thoroughnes required for tax preparation may not be there. While I continued on with Turbo Tax, I wonder how may other think the name implies a slick, quick and less thorough tax program and opt for another company.

it worked
I have used various tax software programs and one thing that is annoying is medical and donations. If I type a name in once then have to type the same name in again eg. Patients name, it should automatically fill in the previous name as soon as I enter the first letter. If its not the same person then I can continue typing in the new name.

Good but could be better
I have been a QuickTax/TurboTax user for over 10 years now and have been relatively satisfied up until this year. This is the first year I have had to claim Capital Gains/Losses and I have to say I found TurboTax to be lacking. I'm aware that there is a upgrade version for Business Owners/Investors but I believe that one should not have to purchase this upgraded version to have an easier time with claiming their Capital Gains.
I would be greatly appreciative if Intuit could improve this area of TurboTax.

Can't imagine doing my taxes without TurboTax
TurboTax is an excellent software tax preparation tool. My only reason for the average rating on easy to use is my being totally blind and having to use some extraordinary key strokes to get into the fields I need to fill out. But overall, a person who is totally blind can prepare taxes in a far faster means than what I used to do. I used to work and argue with my wife over each line on the tax form. Now, I simply answer some questions and fill in the forms with the data my wife supplies through e-mail. Filing electronically is totally accessible to a person who is totally blind with the skill of using the Internet with either Internet Explorer or Fire Fox, I have used both in the last four years.

Wish list
In general a good program to use and makes filing easier. However, I do wish it had a bit more room to make notes/notations. ex. limited space to write down medical expense info like doctor's full name or to write down account numbers or receipt numbers for charitable organizations.

Not so easy
This year, I've used your product for many years, I noitced that some features were not as easy. I.E. Transfering medical from myself to my husband, and changing the dependents from my husband to mine.

Pretty easy to use, easy to find answers to questions though some knowlege of tax rules is definitely a bonus. Just filed so we'll see in a few weeks if everything was ok...ie, no reassessments! :) [PS- Absolutely do not use if you have dial-up!!]
