Well worth the investment!
Good product especially for a "not too computer literate person". Very easy to follow and work with. If you have all your papers at hand, it will take no more than an hour of your time to file your taxes.
Well worth the investment.

Step by step was good though the colour choices used for some views were less legible. Some confusion due more to tax code than interface design.

saved us time
Filing at the last minute (not recommended) was rather silly! We tried to do TurboTax online but had problems because the site was overwhelmed with last minute filers! So we downloaded the program and whipped through it quite quickly!

Last minute saviour
For those that think Apr 30 always comes too soon, too fast, too suddenly - having this software already installed and waiting is a lifesaver.
It does depend on you either being familiar with the deductions you need, or being extremely comfortable with a computer. Overall, it still saved my bacon.

Confusion with Direct Deposit
Great s/w to complete taxes but when it came to using direct deposit, you are encouraged to complete direct deposit information but when it comes to filing, you are advised that you must send in a paper copy. This is not at all clear and is misleading upfront. I decided a green choice and skipped requesting direct deposit. I hope that TURBO tax gets this worked out with the govt...

3rd time we've used Turbo Tax
This was our 3rd time filing taxes using Turbo Tax and we had changes in our family with a recent adoption and everything went great,

Good and user friendly
Turbo Tax is a good product - good directions to help you find your way around. Carries forward the previous year. Makes life easier. I wouldn't go back to paper filing.

A taxation Standard
I keep using TurboTax year after year and it keeps getting better.
I recently tried an online competitor for a relative and found it severely lacking.
The only gripe I have is that certain calculated fields cannot be found in their corresponding worksheets as TurboTax does not provide them.
Showing the Workbook and Worksheet calculations can be truly instructive for a regular user.
At a minimum, blank worksheets (or links to them) should be provided.

Turbo Tax Review
Very good product overall. I have used it a number of years and continue to be satisfied. A couple of recommendations would be to include a pop-up about tax deadline date, as well as the option to save the tax return in pdf format. This would ease the need to print up the return and in turn avoid using up your printer's ink!

couldn't be simpler
I don't think it's possible to make doing your own taxes any easier. There are so many Q & A's available, all of my questions were answered (and I had plenty!) Child #1 went off to university this past year, and I was able to work out how to do his return and transfer tuition and such to us.

frustrating
I found it very frustrating that EVERYTIME I tried to use the 'Helps', Turbo Tax tried to go on line!!! THAT IS REDICULOUS!
I also find it very frustrating that spouses are NOT BOTH allowed to make charitable claims and still use NETFILE! That too is REDICULOUS!
Over all the package is quite usable, especially after using it for several years. I always use the FORMS mode since, as a farmer, I have to go back and forth many times to adjust various parameters.

It was easy to use most of the time
I have worked on and off entering the information for several weeks and did not have much of a problem, but in the last two days I was entering some more data and did reviews. I had saved the information every time. When I tried to complete and file, I could not find my file. Lucky I have automatic back up and was able to copy most of the input.

One of the best so far
I find the Turbo Tax Standard very easy to use except for the optimal use of certain items. The program offers you to change the 'best use of', but does not offer any guidelines .

Taxes done again.
I have used Turbo Tax for more than 15 years. I am comfortable with it and it gets easier every year. This year I prepared taxes for myself and 5 family members.
It's good value, and I can fly thru a simple return.

The small panel on the right side of the screen should be made so that it can be minimized. I found it a pain as it obscured parts of the information I was dealing with and I never used it.
