User friendliness
It seems to me that this years' software was not as easy to use as previous years, it was easy to lose your place as you moved around in the application, would be good to have a 'trail of crumbs' to go back to where you were.

Font should be black for easier visibility. Font could be a little bigger also to make it easier to read. Should be easier at a glance to see whose return is being reviewed by using a larger font inset somewhere on the page.

It's OK
Easy to use.
Doesn't reeally allow one to explore the fringe areas of deductions. Can be a bit slow to navigate around in certain areas.
Help area is aweful... suggest a live e-chat option instead of the Q & A format.

file is saved in documents and settings subdirectory- but you may subsequently save the file in say, a smart drive- then remove smart drive- next time you open the file it looks in the non existent smart drive and does NOT look in the D and S sub directory- at which point the user has to go searching for it- this is annoying !!

No major issues. Mostly plug in numbers from slips. Did have issues trying to find how to insert missing information for items I had missed in my profile.

An excellent product!! Had difficulty trying to reach a live Turbo Tax consultant though. So I pushed on going back and forth to make edits...and it all seemed to work. I filed with ease.Thanks.

Taxes Simplified
With the program transferring information from previous years or spousal information, and providing usefull information and tips, Intuit makes it impossible to use anything or anyone else to do your taxes.

Printing Restrictions
We should have the ability to print individual forms, as felt necessary, without printing the whole return and without this counting as the printout of a return.

It takes time but it saves money!
TurboTax led me step by step through the maze of tax preparation. It took some time for me to ralize that I had to save everything as I went or it would disappear when I reopened the file. Kind of obvious when I think of it - but then something happens to me when I'm preparing tax returns! A great program!

Good tax tool
This product is well designed, flexible and easy to use. It is good for simple returns as well as more complex returns. It makes it easy to change or correct amounts which are entered. The prompts are helpful and the resources and data are prompt and informative. It takes away all the guess work and increases your confidence that you are completing and filing correctly. Thanks

Easy Way to Do Taxes
I have used TurboTax for several years now for filing both mine and my husband's returns. I like the step by step wizard. It makes it very easy to do your taxes. Also, the first year you need to enter personal data, but starting the following year you can get it to just copy that data over which saves a lot of time.

Hello,
I have two suggestions for your program:
I found that deleting items in certain places, does not completely delete the entries, as the information seems to be kept in other places as well.
I found having to go through places several times very difficult, as the information entered first was erased. It would be so helpful, if the information that was entered first would be shown and available for change, when a mistake was made.

Turbo Tax 2011
The product has improved a lot over the years. One thing I still find problem with is the font size. Can someone in the programming department re-design it such that the users can choose the font size appropriate to them. As it is, the default font size is smaller than that in the cell phone. We are talking about imputting dollar figures here. Any help to avoid mistake is appreciated.

MMmmm large tax return
Every year I think about the terrible process of filling out the government forms, then I remember how easy TurboTax makes it and my dread decreases to that associated with a small chore. Saves me time and makes it very easy to run through the somewhat complicated world of Taxes.
I'd recommend it to anyone.

Not too friendly for the visually challenged
Good software, easy to use, but not good for people with visual impaitmrnts. Poor choice of colour scheme. Do not forget that people of all stripes and impairments make use of this product. Product is not user friendly to US visually impaired persons. I have used this software for several years and find it challenfi. Please, remember that not everyone has 20/20 or better vision.

Needs "back" button for forms
Generally easy to use, but there needs to be a "back" button when jumping between forms. That made navigating between forms difficult and frustrating.

Easier to use than ever w/ ONE glitch!
For whatever reason, TurboTax could NOT detect my DSL Internet (What's with that-?) I was able to make it work anyway and enable the settings to work with the web browser on my own.

Works, does what it says it does
Worth the price, makes life easy for creating returns and filing them afterwards. I'd like to see more help (via the hyperlinks) as not everything is hyperlinked and some of the terminology I don't recognize so I make guesses that need fixing.
I'd updat the UI by the way. Looks outdated.

finding a particular place in the program
it is a very good product. It can be confusing to find a specific place u want to look at. Example, i want to find certain figures for real estate rental, was not easy to find idt again.

Somewhat satisfied
I find this program a little hard to get around in, and if you go back into it, and aren't careful it changes things. Example - charitable donations. I don't like that optimizer, and then found donations to "carry forward" very confusing. Carry forward to where? I also found the self employed portion confusing. I do like how it brings forward your information year to year when you continue to buy the same brand. I found other areas such as T4's etc very easy to navigate.

FAst, easy to use
I have recommended this to others. TurboTax will automatically calculate any deductions that are available to you, based on your input. Simply enter your T slips and deductions as your normally would manually and let TurboTax to the rest.
