Very good bang for the buck
Comprehensive with excellent tools and shortcuts. Fairly easy to navigate and very easy to edit and change when required. A few questions and answers aren't intuative but most are very straight forward.

Very difficult compared to last year
It was a lot more difficult with questions that were harder and certain items were hard to find where the numbers went. Very confusing if you have a slightly more complicated return to complete.

I liked the flags that you could enter and then be able to go back directly where you need to update. The search titles were more detailed making it easier to find areas of interest.

Form mode could be a little more convenient
Overall it was a good product, that removes the need to perform repetitive calculations over and over again. Using it in form mode was a little clunky, but since it is only used once a year rather than regularly throughout the year.
Overall a useful product, that saves time.

Good for basic filing
It is very easy to follow along - I really like the "Easy Step" process. I do the returns for my whole family of 5. I only wish it would give more detailed information on things that aren't so common such as transferring tuition between children and parents. More detail as to how much to transfer, how much to carry over t next year, who and how they would benefit more, etc. would be nice info to have.

Investment losses of other years and spousal retur
I find it hard to switch from one return to another when doing spousal returns at the same time..
It is hard to find the location to use capital losses of prior years against this year's gains.

Net Capital Gains/Losses
Would like to see a worksheet for Capital Gains & Losses carried forward or backward and incorporated into the carry forward for easier tracking and adjusting future year's gains/losses.
Not unlike the tracking for RRSP'S

good investment
the only thing I would change is I would go back to the Quick Tax way of having all the t slips and reciepts together when using easy step. Trying to go back and figure out which question you missed is a pain.

Bookmarks
The one feature that appears useless is the Bookmark ability (or lack thereof). I tried bookmarking the Detailed Summary page in Easy Step (which I constantly refer to) along with pages close to it (so I could maybe navigate more easily to it) and every single time, all I got was a message saying I cannot bookmark that page.

Font hard to read
Product good but on some of the screens the font is so small you almost need a magnifying glass to read the data. Have indicated this problem before. When are you going to do something about this?

Long Time User
I have used the Intuit tax software for many years now. I am always impressed by its easy to use features and its ability to get the ever changing tax code correct in its calculations.
Although I believe I am fairly knowledgeable about the tax saving opportunitities available, the software usually manages to include at least one element that I have missed.
I will be using Turbo Tax next year.

Turbo Tax makes tax time so much easier as I do returns for several family members. Only one negative I've found - in order to use charitable donations for both spouses when doing returns together, must use override. That's a pain because it means the overridden return cannot be netfiled. The default is to use all the donations for one spouse only - makes sense if you only have a small amount but I have more than enough donation receipts for both of us. Love the program though; wouldn't do without it.

That was painless!
Have always used a tax filing company but thought I'd try to save a few dollars by doing it myself. Saved $60 (cost of agency vs cost of software) and no lineups or appointments to deal with.
Appreciated the warnings and tips that pop up in the TurboTax screens - made it so easy to file.

get tax credits easy

make Turbo Tax better
Please provide option to increase font size in all the text areas. Also, darken the font for better visibility. Not every user of your program has 20/20 vision. Help us seniors out!

disappearing numbers
I like your program a lot; my only concern is that it is often difficult to see the dollar figures in black ink when they are subsequently highlited using darker colors such as blue or grey. For example, after entering the Income Amounts on a screen, they are then Reviewed. In the review screen those figures almost disappear on that highlited line.

Brain Saver
