Quick and Painless
We have been using Turbo Tax for years and this year with having retired and no longer having our small business, we thought we might need an accountant, but Turbo Tax walked us through everything painlessly.

I completely forgot about taxes, my bad, got busy, have a pretty basic profile as a single male; TurboTax was on the shelf and less expensive then a flesh and blood accountant.
I did my taxes in a couple hours, made a mess off my floor with receipts, and could listen to the game while doing my taxes.
It was easy from start to finish.

2011 Turbo Tax Canada
Had some difficulty navigating back and forth, as the program kept taking me back to the beggining of easy steps despite the fact I had already completed the applicable section. It would be also nice to have a back button to take you to a previous form. When you left click it only takes you back one form.

Worked. Found a few things confusing, e.g. if I answered some guiding questions wrong up-front I couldn't easily change things later on (had to go back to the front and find the right guiding questions to change my answers on.)
I found Quick Tax easier to use.

should have bought this last year!
Should have bought this last year! As a first time user I was hesitant to use turbo tax and thought it more beneficial to go to a real person. I couldn't have been more wrong! Very user friendly! It not only corrected my mistakes but actually explained the reasons why! Kudos to Turbotax!

Great Product
i particularly like the fact that i can prepare my return on my agenda. the product remembers where i am in the process and returns me to that spot when i return. it does not matter how many times i stop either.

Good service
It is a good software and can guide the less knowledgeable person into the Canadian Tax world. There are improvements to be made, such as warnings that dissapear, but other than that it is a user friendly software.

Changing info
It is easy to change info to get the best balance between two returns if you file together as we do.
One Problem!
I would like to see you use PayPal so I can order and save. Each year you offer to save me $ and then I find I am uncomfortable putting my card's access on the 'Net. Change it and I will deffinitely order fdirectly from you next year.

In general very good.
I would suggest that in future when going through the review process, it would help if the program reverted back to the point in the review where the originnal question was raised.
This would elininate starting the "Netfile" process from the start.

Questionable Responses
The use of the Live Community feature is worrying for me. I found that it was turning into a bulletin board of contradictory responses and complaints rather than a useful tool to find the answer to a particular question. I would either delete this feature on future versions of this software or I would have staff monitor it and delete the questionable responses and complaints. I also find that the software is more confusing year by year. Several years ago I found the software to be quite easy to use, now it is as confusing and complex as trying to fill out the paper version of the tax returns.

Straightforward
This program is something I've been using since they were known as quicktax. It makes it easy - literally pop everything in at the prompt. You just need to make sure you are organized to start with otherwise what can take potentially under 30 mins (if there isn't a lot of stuff to enter for 2 people) to a couple of days while reorganizing and going from one tab to another.

There should be more prompts throughout especially with regard to deductions. I had trouble finding the child fitness and arts deductions for example. A tutorial throughout to maximize deductions would be helpful.

Won't let me Print
I love your progeram - however while working in it, I am unable to print any of the forms, or pages that you recommend be printed. It won't recognize my printer even though it works perfectly, as soon as I close Turbo Tax

It is good & thorough but input of some of the repetative data is tedious. In particular, Medical Expenses & Donations....there should be a way to input right to the form rather than use the "receipts" process which is slow and does not allow for copying repetative data.
Also input of T3 data is clumsy when you have to use the sub screens and some data shows up combined.
