Turbo tax screens
I had issues with completing certain screens and the the software would revert back to other forms. This has not ever happened before. I had to go through the entire review again to complete the tax return. It was very time consuming and frustrating. Other than that it worked well.

This is the first year have submitted a coupled (spousal) return. After a few early missteps, it was very easy to use and the optimizer features were most helpful.

Very Useful
Once you learn the methodology it works very efficiently.
Entering data in the right forms takes learning.
For netfiling reverse the year/month/day from the
order shown in Turbotax
A back tab < would be useful.

Its good but why
As far as tax programs goes, it is a good program. I enjoy the step by step process, it fills in the blanks based on the questionaire and poof. I understand that programmers need to be paid for the software, however, why should this be an expensive program especially considering how many millions of people purchase this? I bought it yes, but if I was just doing MY income tax, I would do it manually instead of by program. Price should be below $20.00 instead of the higher rate.

Can't go back
I found it very frustrating to watch my refund drop over $500 because of a recommendaion made. BUT I couldn't find out how to undo it either. GRRR!

Useful and easy
I use it every year. My info is transferred from the previous year's return so the transition is quick and I don't have to waste time re-entering personal info.
easy step method is great. sometimes if info is entered incorrectly, finding exactly what you did wrong isn't the easiest, but otherwise, great product.

Good performance
Does what you need it to. Reliable. Ability to print and file right from program is great!
Two areas to improve. 1) Fonts are small. Tough on aging eyes. Also, small fonts encourage you to overlook things you shouldn't. Important areas should be made to look important. 2) Not as easy as it should be to determine exactly what to do in some instances. Need more of a straight forward, "if this then that" approach in Help.

Fix this
The medical expenses wizard gives incorrect advice (and has so for years, worse resets manual overrides when backing up) if tax payable by the spouse with lower earnings is less than the eligible deduction for such expenses in which case a larger refund will obtained by transfering these to the higher income return inspite of that having a higher 'threshold' amount.

When I tried to use the browse feature to get my file it was not aslisted under the C:\Users ... as indicated. hence still not sure if I have done the correct thing. So disappointing after all that work.

Industry Code
Every year Turbo Tax asks me for an industry code and I'm an individual, not an industry. So every year I have to pick a bogus industry code just to get to the next step; this year I'm a Salt Water Fisherman.

Tedious for first timers
If you are doing this for the first time it could be a little confusing. But if you are able to follow it right and correct the errors then everything goes smooth. I suggest use the "easy" instructions. I was able to file mine & my spouses tax together. Not that bad!
PS: Recomended for people who knows computing quite a bit.
