Telephone Help
The software had an error when having a dependant, it was still present when submitting my taxes. Definitely, a value add of TurboTax is the phone help for tax related questions (not the technical support but real tax consultants).

Easy to Use
I didn't need the TurboTax premium edition, even though I had many investments and limited partnerships to report. The instructions were easy to follow.

I really like using Turbo Tax and I have been a Quick Tax user for years. My ownly struggle with the product was trying to print the completed tax form, I also had trouble with the same thing last year. I was able to use the information provided by other customers that were experiencing the same difficulty and eventually my document printed.

Overall this program works well. Ran into an annoying quirk. On the first run through I marked that I had moving expenses. Realizing that I did not need to claim them to reduce my taxes...get full refund, I went back and marked that I did not have moving expenses. This did not work and I had to enter the moving information to avoid getting an error message that would not let me proceed.

Very helpful
Found it frustrating to have to scholl over to complete worksheet. Would highly recommend ensuring worksheet is fully displayed and having to only scholl over when in the info column to the right of the worksheet.

SOFTWARE GLITCH
I had one problem with TurboTax and this is it:
Every time a new screen came up when I clicked on continue, a prompt would say " This page uses fonts that need to be temporairly installed. This is usually safe. Do you want to allow these fonts to be installed." YES NO It did not matter if I clicked YES or NO as the same prompt would come up immediately that I clicked continue. What went wrong as this glitch continues when I close the file and re-open it and when I navigate from one section to another. Would like a reply

Smartest choise ever
I have been using turbo tax since 2004 and have never had an issue. I always get my full tax return and love that it's so user friendly. I couldnt imagine doing my taxes any other way.

Great Tool
Turbo tax is very easy to use. It walks me through all potential tax savings that I may not have thought of or even known about. The thing I like most about it is if I don't finish in one sitting, it's easy to come back to and pick up right where I left off.
I will continue to use Turbo Tax and recommend it to anyone who wishes to save some money.

Could be better
With a leading product like this (and being a Quicken User for two decades), I am surprised at some obvious functionality for common users that has been missed for so long.
The Tax Return can be completed for couples, but one cannot split the jointly owned stocks (i.e. by selecting % of ownership, i.e. 50%). Most couples have investment accounts in joint names. It is painful to manually prepare all the numbers on a spreadsheet, and than make sure that they are entered correctly on both my and my wife's return, when it would be so easy for package to have a check box that can do the split with click. That does exist for other sections, so not something new, but lacks in Investments.
Otherwise great product.

Smooth, as ever -x updates
TT has served well for many years and 2011 was consistent. My one problem was that the updates kept insisting the prgram was installed incorrectly. I had to find a workaround for that.

Good Product
The 2011 version appears to be as good as those in past years. I still have the same complaint however. When entering repetitive information such as medical bills, it would be helpful if the cells would self populate. In other words, when you are typing in the name of the pharmacy or even the name of the individual who is claiming the expense, you don't need to retype everything.

pension optimizer
I do like the program, and have been using it for years. One suggestion: please streamilne the pension income optimizer... I use it a lot for planning purposes, and the need to click several times at each iteration is unnecessarily irritating.

Simple and Fast
It took me less than a half-hour to complete my return. It was a simple return for myself and my wife. Add the 2 dependants. For the money, much better than using a tax service.
