I find the screen layout very annoying. It would be much better if the useless chat room and other stuff on the right hand side of the screen could be closed, allowing the Easy Step process to use the full screen.
Also, when securities are acquired over many different years the right "year of acquisition" should be "Var" for Various. I could not enter that.

One issue is: I don't think there is an option to contribute RRSP to both myself and my wife, there is only an option to contribute to your spouse, but if I have RRSP that I want to contribute to myself and my spouse, it does not give my that option.

Great Product & Help Chat Line
Was having trouble loading 2011 Turbo Tax to my computer. Went to the help chatline and they walked me through what I had to do. That says it all, while I expect from time to time to have issues with software, the important thing was that there was someone there to help me.

Good but with snags
I've been using this program every year since 1999 with no problems. This year, I ran into some. It's the first time I've used it with Windows 7 - 64 bit, and after installation of Turbo Tax and after first use, I couldn't start the program from the start menu or the desktop icon. I had to start by double-clicking the program file in Explorer. Also, the program ignored my changes to the medical expense 12 mo. period, and showed no amount in the optimizer. Other than those things, this continues to be my choice for doing my taxes. Great program overall.

I find that the small print in pale blue is hard to see at my age. Using a dark blue instead would be most helpful, otherwise - good.

Great Timesaver
Using Turbo Tax saves a lot of time when preparing tax returns. I also find that the checks before I file assist me in identifying anything I might have missed. I use this product every year and find it much easier to use than an alternative tax filing program that I tried one year and basically just gave up on.

Should still be called "Quick Tax"

TurboTax is great!
This is the first year I have purchased the software from the store, to encourage family members to prepare their taxes electronically. Previous years I have used the online version of TurboTax/Quick Tax. Software was great. Only complaint I have is that the software did not recognize my previous years profiles, even though I have used Intuit products/Turbo Tax in the past. It didn't seem as the online purshase was compatible with the software purchase, so I had to re-enter all of my information in again this year from scratch.

Excellent with one suggestion
I love this product and have used it for years [as QuickTax]. I would suggest [to the developers] that when a person is completing a dual return [for a couple] that the NAME of the person's return being worked on be printed CLEARLY on each page. It does get confusing when the program switches from one person to the other ... especially when I am switching and reviewing around on my own. [The only reason I marked 'value' as average is because I wish it was cheaper for the 'standard' edition.]

Beats doing it with a pencil!
Computers and programs are meant to work logically however over decades of use my view is they do not. However you usually can get where you want to with a modicum of patience and ingenuity
