Effective But Registering is Annoying.
I buy TurboTax every year. It takes a frustrating and complicated process and reduces it to a series of simple steps.
My only complaint is that I have to register my address every year. I buy online, so re-entering my address etc. each year just feels redundant. It's a minor complaint
P.S. I love that the "Your Family" section below has three options - "Has Kids", "Does Not Have Kids" and "No Preference". What does that even mean? I have kids but I would prefer not to?

Easy to use and assuring
I found the easy step process to be quite comprehensive. The program allows for form fill in which is great as I would enter data as soon as a form or receipt arrived. The program was good at providing prompts to ensure that I had entered everything.

East Do It Yourself
I have been using this for the last few years and it it easy to use with limited computer knowledge. I recommend it for anyone who has straight forward returns. I don't have a difficult return and the program guides you through all the steps effortlessly.

The Easy Step method is very good and comprehensive. Everything works well until you get to the Net File process. The tax file file created is located in a difficult place which is not easy to find.
Why not file it on the desktop?

Deleting schedules or forms
you check off info your profile, and then input info on the form. When you realize that you do not require that form, you go back and change the profile and it is suppose to eliminate the non required form, but it does not. Fustrating to say the least.

Makes you think
Overall, after many years of using TurboTax and its predecessors, I must like it because I keep coming back to it year after year.
However, I do get a little lost sometimes wanting a 'back' button where none exists. Tried 'Help' once and it said to click on the Flags Icon at the top of the screen. Never did find that Flags Icon. I had to just ignore the instruction and hope that I didn't miss something important.

Easy to Use
I am not considered to be very good with fiancial figures and planning, but this program makes it very easy for even the most unsavy people to use. Our family has lots of receipts for claiming work expenses, child care, and other confusing deductions but the programs walk you through every step. Refunds come fast. WHy would you ever consider paying someone else to do your taxes and have access to your private information when you can do it in your home in a short period of time. It gets easier every year, as the program automatically transfers your information to next year.

Dumb question
TT asks the question "Do you have no income to report". This is extremely hard to handle because it almost implies a double negative statement. Why not put boxes such as: "I have income to report." & "I do not have income to report."
