Once you get used to navigating the application, it really is quick. I had difficulties with the Tradesman section and hopefully, they will add a few more details regarding how to include the $$ amounts in future editions.

Somewhat useful
I don't like it when I am asked questions that I have already answered or that Turbo tax should already know. I don't like being told to print my return and then later telling me to print without giving a reason. I was unable to enter a T3 using Turbo tax. I could not make sense of it.

Delux On-Line (Cloud) Edition Horrible
This year, the Turbo Tax is flawed. 1. Won't allow printing Netfile Confirmation sheet; 2. Data enterred as required and it disappears repeatedly. You have to keep entering the same data over and over. 3. Can't load data directly from CRA without incurring data errors
The On-Line Cloud version is horrible. Inconsistent from Return to Return. And only provides 8 Returns (No 12 more for under 25k income). Huge disappointment.
No place to 'execute' (send) this survey!

Not as Good as Previous Years
First there was a problem with upgrading to latest version after initial download, It would not upgrade. Had to re-install after several days of trying.
Second program took forever to load simple data entries, And for moving to next section, it would say "Turbo Tax not responding" for about 30 seconds before it moved to next section.
Very frustrating to use. Product did not appear to be as good as previous years.

It works
It does what its supposed to, if you know what your doing and have used it before.
If its your first time, then make sure you have everything ready and know what your deductions are. Get ready to search for forms.

T3 Tax Slip
It wouldn't enter the information as a 50%-50% split with my spouse. I had to do the split calculation manually and enter as two T3 tax slips. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out if I had done something wrong but finally found some mention under HELP that it wouldn't calculate splits for all tax notices.

There is no CD, you have changed the line number(which are hard to find at the best of times) and more questions to answer. I use to look forward to doing taxes, not anymore, not after this year. It use to be so easy. I will not recommend this product and if it is the same next year will propably not use it myself. I have used your product for at least 10 years, not sure if I will contunue

Quality is going downhill
I have found issues with some of the fields carrying through the application. The email address and Netfile numbers on the first few screens that I entered is not carried through to the other screens. Also, it was asking me to deselect the tax credit for senior homeowners. I did not select it however, it was populated. The only way to remove that error was to update the form as I could not find the option selected in the check boxes. Other information that should have flowed through the application seemed to be neglected. The fields need to be reviewed one by one to ensure that the information that is needed on different forms is carried through. This does not instill confidence in an accurate completion of the taxes.

Have used for years but doesn't seem as good
Been using this product (and it's predecessor Quicktax) for 25 years, so I have familiarity, but every year its a drag. There are many annoying issues that make it more frustrating every year. For example if something goes wrong during the download of data from CRA (e.g. you accidentally entered the wrong password), the program waits for ever and never times out. You have to kill the window/process (possibly causing corruption). COME ON! this is elementary computer science. You should always have a timeout (only needs to wait a couple of minutes). During the Review step, many of the Tips/Warnings, either don't apply, or have already been dealt with, or are actually misleading. As someone who spent a career in s/w quality control and testing, Intuit does not seem to be making the product more user friendly. In the past I would have rated TT 4/5 stars. This year I'm downgrading it to 3/5.

Disappointed

Dropping in quality
Intuit is growing complacent. Things are not getting better, it is the same crap as previous years. The tax information download feature generally requires that I sign into my CRA Account BEFORE TurboTax offers the link to sign in.
If things do not improve significantly next year I will be trying other software.

Works OK most of the time...
There are some problems with this package. For example, I entered data for two T4RIF slips, but it got them confused and showed some of the data from the first slip as belonging with the second slip. I wasn't able to move between the data sets on the form to correct the problem. I finally gave up and started the whole procedure from scratch. I then used the Edit function rather than the Enter function to put in the data.

Glitches
Since the CD version is no longer available, it was very confusing on how to do the set up. I could not find how to Activate by entering the licensing code. Had to call for help!!

New Format
Seriously I and my family have used TurboTax for 25 years. No hiccups until this year when there was no disc in the box. Whereas I do realize that some pcs don't have CD access a lot of us do. Perhaps a version with that a an option to have a disc or no. It took over 5 hours with the help of your technician to get set up. Imagine if I was computer illiterate.

some tax credits unavailable in forms method
Some entries such as the educator school supply tax credit on line 46900 cannot be entered in the forms method. It is necessary to change to the easy step method, and toggle through many questions to get there, which is very time consuming.

Too many Ads and not enough options
Too many Ads and not enough options.
I have been using this product since the time it was called QuickTax and it has stopped getting better! This year there was more then 6 times I was stopped in the "easy fill" wizard to try and up-sell me! I paid good money for this product I should have an option from the first "up-sell" to turn it off.
