Does the job
I have been using TT for over a dozen years and don't want to go thru the learning curve on another product. TT is OK and does the job. I can do it all manually but TT can do all the manual work for me.
Pros: accurate and fast.
Cons: if you are like me and had large fonts the check boxes don't show. Trying to split retirement income to your spouse is hopelessly difficult, you get sent around in circles.

Probably easy to use if you are a tax preparer
I've used TurboTax for as great many years. Even before the Internet was available.
Now they seem to be focused on selling addons since prompts for this appear everywhere.
I just want to do my taxes make it easy for me to understand the terminology a few picture of documents that I need might help.
Make me happy to start with and I might buy addons make me unhappy and I might not buy anything

TurboTax is antiquated
seems that TurboTax software just "keeps up" with necessary changes. It seems antiquated and requires a redesign. It lacks automation in dealing with recognition of currency conversion means, "group" copying of data, importing of excel info (that must be gathered to compensate for its lack of integration capabilities), Help files are severely lacking or non-existent for some topics.

Not as good as last year
It was not as easy to compare the benefits of the recommended changes . I did phone for help at one point and spoke to Anela and she was very helpful. Before I was able to reach her I was ready to find a paper copy & just do it all myself. This is not the first time I have used this product, but it might be my last.-

difficult to get help if it doesn't work
I require an industry code. Turbotax does not supply the codes and their link will not answer. Their is no method to advise TurboTax of this shortfall. This makes the program useless.

For years now I am unable to check the language field, CRA to elections Canada option and the foreign property declaration. Also when I was printing the one partners return as checked it printed the others. Ink is not cheap Intuit.

Very Helpful Program
We have used TurboTax for years and appreciate the ongoing improvements and the fact that our tax data can be accessed on our PC year by year. This year we found the program to be a big buggy, causing us to review and edit entries several times to make sure they were right.

OK - but still lumpy and not responding to feedbac
I have used QuickTax and TurboTax for many years (>25??) and the final steps continue to put the user into a tiresome and unnecessary loop of reviewing warnings and smart tips and then saving/printing - and it is not easy to get out of that loop. It would also be helpful to many people if the package could remind users of where to find the stupidly small NetFile Access Code (and yes - I know that is a CRA thing - but you COULD help).

very slow on my PC. When filing I entered the Net File Access Code (optional) and CRA said it did not agree with the code on file and would not accept my return. Delete the number and I was able to file. Glitch at CRA??

Support staff are not knowledgeable. Escalation to receive a call back for unresolved problems/questions does not exist. I have been using this program since it's existence and am not likely to use in the future due to lack of support

Needs better compete expainations
When looking up new additions to your usual filings IE you are now looking after a partner who requires constant care, and are looking for the Area to enter the information for Care Giver Credit, don't just give the line # in the form, give the place where the information and amounts can be entered or at least an option to enter then info. Not have to over-ride and not be able to then file electronically. Helpful hints are a joke. no where near the information needed.

HARDER
I have used turbotax for over 10 years Standard every year it gets harder to complete I am a senior 80+ not dumb. File jointly for me & wife. with all the popups and wanting to sell you somethings easy to skip info. need to simplify. Do one person tax start to finish Then 2nd wife start to finish then combine & ask you questions! :(

Annnoyed
I am over 65 but have elected to not take OAS or CPP. I appreciate that this should be a warning that I should check but when I went to file my return the OAS slip showed as an error. This is a TURBO tax error not my error.

Integration with CRA needs improvement
While this may be the best available self-use tax preparation software, it still needs improvement. Integration with the CRA site is subject to time-out during CRA login and Turbo Tax then hangs for many minutes, Also I discovered that the medical and donation optimizers recommended sharing was not transferred to the needed work sheets. Also warnings are issued for items such as FTC are but are treated as black boxes.

misleading box titles
standard and deluxe online boxes were side by side same price exactly i grabbed the deluxe thinking better for same price on way home and reading fine print their not and once you open its yours no return

ADVERTISING
I've been using TurboTax for MANY years now and I can tell you, it's getting ridiculous with the amount of ADVERTISING that is put into a program that I have already purchased!! Spend more time on a top notch program and leave the advertising to for radio, TV or other platforms!! I PAY for a program, NOT ADVERTISEMENTS!!

push advisors too much
I am finding the software a bit frustrating because each year they add more steps you have to decline to push the advisors on you. I would appreciate a button to refuse at the start of the taxes and then not be bothered the rest of the time.

Lots of bugs this year
Used for many years - great product. This year it was very buggy. Pop up windows that would not go away and slow to transition from window to window. Overall still easy to use and probably best out there.

Not as good as last year
Changes did not seem to get made when one re-does the step by step method. Doubled some input values which would have resulted in additional tax if I hadn't caught the error. Do not sense it is fully up-to-date. Usually I would get a message that an up date is available but nothing this time around.

Love the product but has a major issue
have been using the product for years, and it would be great if form t1135 is fixed to allow more than 3 lines in Part b section 7 of the form. As a result i cannot netfile the form as i have to use the CRA PDF format. Very inconvenient.

disappoinment
Still prints useless pages. Forty year old doesn't need senior info. Only print used things, not 3 charts when 1 is used for 2 lines. Also need 2 sides print option.
