Was worried it would not netfile
I would not enter any of my CRA items. Certainly they do thousands of these and 3 days before the deadline and 2 days before it won't import slips? I thought "why would it netfile" but it did. Anyway the hardest part of taxes it completed bombed out. Its sadly the way Intuit is headed. They used to be EXCELLENT but their QuickBooks - same deal - they eventually fix it but its a nightmare while they let their public do their testing. I do IT for a living and it involves QuickBooks for over 12 years.

Very annoying bugs in 2019, may switch next year
This is my 25th year using TurboTax, and amongst the worst. The bugs that this version had in regards to the software update process were very annoying, and the uncaring attitude and non-support for the problem was quite disheartening. I noticed the software update issue in the 2018 version as well, late into the tax season, but all my returns were already submitted so it didn't bug me so much. This year, out-of-the-box, the thing wouldn't update. Support virtually useless ("uninstall and re-install, that'll fix it..."). Very poor. Looking for alternatives for next year (and maybe NOT software that looks like it is still based on a Windows 3.1 base). Not good Intuit.

Good Enough, 10-year-old design
It seems to work well enough, but there are glitches in it. As an example, the ability to save frequently disappears for no clear reason. They kinda fixed it in 2019 by making the option to save your return a mandatory question to answer near the end, but you still might end up without the ability to save part-way through.
Clearly the program was designed many years ago and has just been added to. It could use a redesign from scratch to get rid of most of the basic problems that come from building layer upon layer of revisions.

help
the help feature did not work properly halfway through doing my return. I have been using Turbotax for about 15 years and was very upset. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Opt for the correct product
While the TurboTax software works reasonably well, an accurate description of the different products would help. This year I bought TT software that was not compatible with their last years product i.e. it could not import my last years details. And what a hassle to resolve this with customer service. They were aware of the issue, as others had the same issue, but apparently unable to help. Finally escalated and resolved...but if I'm using TT for ease of use then that was certainly lacking.

I liked Last Years Version better

Teraible phone support
I paid the extra to have a "expert" to call and help and no one called. They set the time and I arranged my work scedule and when I called to see where they were they made the excuse that it takes sometimes 3 hours. Why set up a time if thats the case.

Not user friendly
Fonts do not scale automatically and are miniature making it difficult to see and cumbersome to change your computer settings every time you want to use it.
Sold my house (principal residence) and it was a nightmare to know what to do and if I needed to allocate 50% of cost and proceeds of sale to my wife and how to do it. Buggy, did not erase information from a 2nd T2091 opened by the software, Had to shut down and redo all again.

Missing a basic feature
Most people I know have some amount of money in a mutual fund. Yet the standard package does not provide support for this basic feature. It's already too expensive but they want even more.

not improving, same old every year. Doesn't handle tuition split parent-child. If I save contributions (medical say) for next year, it doesn't keep track for me, even tho I use the same product year after year

TurboTax Standard 2019
Windows 7 is NOT supported even though Windows 7 EOL was Februrary 2020.
TurboTax updates never worked. I had to un-install and re-install using a setup.exe in poorly documented Intuit website.

2019 turbotax review
Some difficulty with disability area. It is not entirely clear until the final review that everything is getting in. Have noticed that high RRSP contributions can get truncated. Should be a warning when you go over the internal limit of the software (I think it is 90,000?). I have also had difficulties with the whole disability of a spouse thing, not sure if that is real or not.

Goodbye
We've been using TurboTax and before it QuickTax for decades now.
However we are greatly dissatisfied with the decision to abandon users of Window 7 altogether for the 2020 tax year. This year the installation on Windows 7, although possible, was fraught with long delays and unsuccessful installation attempts. We won't be updating to Windows 10, so this is the last year we expect TurboTax to be serviceable. Online support was silent and useless in these matters.
That is a disappointment because TurboTax used to be a really good program and we had expected to continue using it indefinitely. Now it's just a pain.
Anyway, thanks for the fish!

Easy
The process is easy to use, but my main issue is with the very light gray text that can't be blackened; hard to read at times. Also, the navigation buttons do not always take you where you think you'll go.

Struggles with dial-up
This product does not play nicely with dial-up internet access, to the point of advising I could not complete this survey because I did not have an internet connection; I am connected on dial-up!

OK with some bugs
I've used TurboTax/Quicktax for many years. I do prefer to the other ones I've tried although my preferred tax program was bought by Intuit and shut down. I still get tips for things that don't apply because I am a senior and no longer eligible for some things. It should be easy to remove non-applicable tips and fixes.

Not Happy
We purchased a CD and after completing our taxes received the error tt805. This was an updating problem with the "fix" being you had to now download another online version?? this error had been discovered back in Feb. with the fix being download another version in May??

Foreign Tutition & Scholarships
The software could be improved so tuition paid & scholarships received from a certified U.S. university is entered easily at the start (i.e. just after input of T4 returns) of preparing the return.
This would make it easier to make certain that the all the foriegn tutition and scholarship information is enter easily and correctly.

Easy but room for improvement
Easy program to use but it could incorporate a few simple options that it would make it so much more convenient and useful, such as:
1. Calculate the most advantageous split percentage of pensions between spouses.
2. Schedule 3 - Part 3, should be able to assign a percentage of the "proceeds of disposition" to your partner.
3. The "print your return" action prints too many unnecessary pages.

2019 TT Std. Download errors cf. 2018
2019 standard download has errors that 2018 did not. (1) Medical optimiser shows zero despite entering expenses and so the optimiser does not function. (2) Pension splitting maximum amount is in error since 15% US Soc.Sec. retirement benefit tax is entered by TT as USD number under "exempt under tax treaty" as well as in CAD on the correct line.

It's fine.
Loops around at the end of the process, asking to save or print multiple times after it was already done.
Suggests upgrading to higher versions based on profile selections even though those suggestions weren't made, which is too pushy for software I already paid for.

Error in T5008 this year

Where did that come from
I did not enter that I disposed of my property and yet it comes up - I started to enter the data but realized it was wrong. Despite checking that I had elected "No" on the question for both me and my wife. It still show up in my pdf file - what gives

Help needs some help
Using the community forums or online needs to be organized better. Took to long to find an answer. Unless you type in the exact keywords that are in TurboTax's responses it is hard to find help on your issue. TT should put related responses for whatever line # you are having issues with.
