Good but with few issues
Careful when you transfer dividends between spouses because div. tax credit may not transfer as it should. Also, boxes 49,50, 51 on T3 for example show as total and not individually making checking input more difficult and time-consuming. These are two examples of things that could/should be improved.

I used to file by email first time. The Federal part was very clear. Since Quebec does not send a confirmation, I have no idea if it was filed this program is confusing. It should say you are ready filed by internet

Medical receipt entry is broken
I like it in general since it faithfully reproduces the Federal and Quebec forms, making it easy to cross reference information from all of the information bulletins.
However, the medical receipt entry is broken. The feds prefer that I enter medical receipts on a cashflow basis. that means entering all expenses and refunds at the time they were actually received. This results in refunds received this year for expenses from the previous year. The Medical reciept entry lets you enter those, so it looks OK, but it then ignores any refund entries that do not have matching expense entries when it transfers the number to the Med sheet. Tough to catch if you are not cross checking from a spreadsheet or such. VERY BAD !!!

Was part of beta test. Way Back toQuick Tax.
Overall still good BUT you have gone to far in making idiot proof and it is very difficult (especially the past three years) to enter specific data or find where to enter. Also, this year froze on links to entry points.
For example, I have to go five levels to remove an auto fill that was preventing me from net filing.!!!! And it took a very long time to figure out. So please on the fixes provide better links to where to fix!! It told me what to fix but the point it sent me to would not link. Four hours later I started over and found it.!!!

Since they are doing away with paper filing, I have gone this way. Call me a dinosaur, but I still find it just as fast to do it manually. But then I can't efile.

the help boxes that you removed were very valuable. Plus the simplified meal deductions for long haul truckers is anything but simple. it really needs remaking. I have used this program for over 20 years. this year I was not impressed

Confusing
The tax calculatons and entering all your tax data is easy to do however the netfile portion is very unclear and there is nothing to help you when you do not get any confirmation number once you file
It was so much easier last year

TurboTaxing 101
The product is easy to use. I have used other versions and they are all very good. The basic version is the best dollar value and works well for simple income tax prep. If your situation is complex there are more premium products at more premium prices.
The only issue I have is right a the very last step - I won't actually know if my CRA submission was filed until I hear from them with a deposit to my account. It would be better to have CRA acknowledge receipt of my submission electronically.
All and all it's a good tool for tax time.

Don't believe the first refund # you see
The program is an average tax prep program with one major flaw in my estimation. It begins calculating a tax refund right away and assumes certain things that may not apply to you - therefore you may see quite a large refund sum and get all excited, only to find out way down the road that its wrong and you have a considerably smaller refund, if at all. You may owe money. It should start calculating only with the information you have provided, no assumptions. In one circumstance it assumed that the tax file I was preparing for a client would claim the working income tax benefit, however the client was not eligible for it.Of course this is only when you use Easy Step. When using just forms it's a good program. The help section is not very useful either.

TTax2015 has Windows 10 bugs, reported, not fixed
Horribly tested product. Doesn't integrate well with Windows10. Even though TTax 2013 and 2014 (with copies of NEtfiled returns on computer), TTax 2105 has no clue that they were even sent!

this product doesn't flag to itself that i registered the product online already, and keeps asking me to re-register it. If i do, the product crashes, so online support eventually told me (3hrs on phone) to ignore the warning to (re-) register product, instead of just fixing the error message! where do they hire their programmers and testers from...obviously not very competent!

Getting Dated
Ths software hasn't really been updated in many years. The interface is exactly the same. I find the software quite frustrating at times as some cells are not clickable (to enter information as they a just normal fillable boxes). I also find it pretty annoying to enter rental and business statements with my spouse as you have to duplicate the information. These are just some of my key gripes but there are more. I will be looking to get other software next year.

Spurious error
Program added an incorrect value to a non-applicable entry point. This caused a fatal error (not allowed to NetFile). Had to manually delete offending entry on form to allow filing.

Not So Happy This Year
I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and have had no problem. This program was very different. The Medical expense portion of the program was a nightmare to work with. I can not tell you how long I played around with it but I had to finally add my expenses manually using forms. I could not get back into the expenses that I had already input other than through forms. This is the first time I have encountered this problem Could it be Windows 10??? Very disappointing.

Second guessing
I found there were multiple times I second guessed the software. The options towards the end-confused me...example...I filed via netfile and the software left me feeling like I missed something. Perhaps having "Completed" next to my name...or "Complete-press continue" wouldn't have left me scratching my head.

I used the following 3 of the "Optimizers" in software
- Pension splitting
- Medical expenses
- Charitable Donations
in the order the software presented them.
However when I went back and changed the order, the software gave me a different result for the tax owed /payable.

Frustrating
This is the second year in a row that your system . software is forcing me to submit by Canada Post. Simply put, the software forces me back to try to claim OAS income. I am not receiving it yet, even though I am over 65 years of age. You have no "override" and submit option!
Frustrated!

Charitable Donations Mystery
In the review section, a charitable donations optimizer was talked about but no option was provided to select use of the optimizer.
Also, I didn't see anything where I could project a revised net payable/refund by a change of either an income or deduction line item.

Product could still be improved. The is no easy way to ensure that data entered through Fast Tracks has been recorded as input. Hitting 'Enter' does not record the data nor does it adjust the 'tax owing' or 'refund due' amount. 'Tab' will advance to next box and enter data, but if there is no entry point to advance to with 'tab' then only the "continue" option will cause the data be entered. Advice: To be sure, check with 'previous' after hitting "continue". My entire return was showing 'tax owing' because the 'tax paid' box on a T-4 was not recorded when I hit "Enter". Very Annoying
F-10 would not print forms until all the data was entered for the entire return. Not helpful when attempting to trace a data entry error during T-form entries. Print function needs improvements.
Medical Receipts time period defaulted to Jan. 1 2014 rather than Jan 1 2015. Easy to miss that error - and could result in loss of medical deduction. Big No No.
Otherwise, the product appears reasonably roadworthy.

Good tool, Lousy Help Files
This is a good product, and makes it pretty easy to complete a return. However, when you want to look something up, the Help files are useless. They may tell you about the forms, but provide very little useful information about how to decide what to put into them.
