Worse this year than in previous years!
1. Terribly slow. Some of the steps the computer spent more than two minutes just sitting there. I would start one step, and go away and do chores while I waited for it, then come back and start the next step. Took more than 3 hours to finish.
2. Had to look up information from last year, it would not open last year's return just to VIEW it. The software insisted on creating a new return, and I was unable to get the information I needed from a previous year.

had trouble!
When I tried to load TurboTax 2014 on to my Vista laptop computer I had so much trouble that I had to go and use another Win 7 computer. had no problems with that machine.
Please fix the bugs that gave me so much trouble.

I FOUND PRIOR VERSIONS OF THIS TAX PROGRAM MUCH EASIER TO NAVIGATE THROUGH. EARLIER VERSIONS WERE EASIER TO BACK TRACK TO FIND DIFFERENT POINTS IN THE PROCESS

Tutorial is terrible. didn't bring information from previous year like it was supposed to. Answered questions at the beginning but then still wanted me to enter values but I think I never should have been asked those questions again.

OK - but ...
Would be better if it allowed scenarios to be built and compared - such as pension transfers, charitable and medical on different returns and then compare side by side.
Also - a way to keep using last years Turbo Tax to "build" the next years return (updated with the new allowances, etc., as they become available). That would help maximization of tax efficiency especially for those in retirement who are drawing rrsps, etc.. The provisional version would then be uploaded to the new year Turbo Tax when bought and could not be filed without buying the latest year version.
Turbo Tax Advantage - I would like to use this, but when I did a subscription a few years back I did not get my copy toll it had been in the stores at a lower price for a few weeks. If the Advantage allowed me to download it on the day of issue, I would be "in".

confusing
preparing this return was pretty simple to follow . BUT ,there are too many advertising ads for other Turbo Tax products & services .It was very hard to understand how to exit when finished .!!!!!!!

good purchase
The price for TurboTax Standard is great, cause you can't get 2 returns done anywhere else for this price.
The program is fairly easy to use except not as easy as 2013 program which had an option to flag items that you might want to review: and the forms popped up at points when you needed them.

the program is still really easy to use and the layout is very clear. I did find that this year's version was quite a bit slower in comparison to previous years' versions. perhaps a windows 8.1 issue??? Overall still the best I've used and I will continue to do so

Hard to Navigate
Difficult to navigate back and forth making the exercise much more time consuming and difficult to figure out how changing input data affects the outcome. Otherwise, the program does what it's supposed to.

change not always best
Tax program has changed from last year and I find it to be a bit more confusing. It is probably simpler to use but I was just used to the previous version. Hopefully next year's version will stay the same. Still a lot easier than doing this longhand.

Easy to use

Unclear on how to enter investment information for capital gains or losses (the columns on the spreadsheet could be better defined).
The "unused RRSP contributions" term seems to confuse and cause taxpayer to over contribute to his/her RRSPs. Please define the term.

Not too bad, but a few quirks
Overall, pretty easy program to use. I have been using it for a few years now.
The last few years there have been a few quirks. When using the forms method, some information gets omitted from the CRA copy. I have had manually had to click off boxes on the printed version of the CRA copy.

Wanted to feed back a problem I encountered in updating the Installment field. I could not enter any value in this field (Line 476 of T1) and spent at least half an hour trying until I successfully input the installment value via the Easy Steps. Should be at least 4 stars if not for this problem.

Need better help
I find that the basic tax matter are easy to use but once you have slightly more complicated tax matters, it's not very intuitive. Also, the help prompts aren't always valuable since they just to confusing CRA publications. It would be useful to have something that defines the terms used on each page (e.g. what does infirm mean in a certain context)

Overbilled
I purchased an individual return and then when went back into system to make a change it was requiring I pay a 2nd time. Then as I decided to do 2 family members returns I purchased TurboTax Standard which allows 8 returns to be prepared. I could not transfer the data I had previously entered into the download and had to retype all the returns into the Standard. Very time consuming and frustrating.

Medical expense Bug
2 years in a row it makes me put in a 12 month period for medical expenses, when I did not input that I had medical expenses. So I just make up dates to get rid of the error
