Terrable data entry system for medical deductions
Huge problem with the data entry system for medical deductions... old folks with many, many, many, many dozens of prescriptions take hours to input... and most of the info has to be entered multiple times for each entry... TurboTax can and must do a better job

Harder this year
It was more confusing this year. I couldn't find how to import last year's. I finally figured out how to save this year's, I think. It took me much longer this time.

NET 4 boondoggle
As with others, the net4 issue stopped me cold...took 3 hours to resolve the issue. Finally went on line and downloaded NET4 from Microsoft...which enabled me to download 2013TT. also I use Firefox, so was frustrated when I had to update Explorer to version 8. Still can't delete carry over of business forms...tried last year and again this year...doesn't work.

MOST VAGUE ON ALL ITEMS , AND ALWAYS FEEL LIKE IT ISN'T THE RIGHT ANSWER, AND ALWAYS THE UPGRADES ??? WHY NOT JUST HAVE A GOOD PRODUCT THAT GIVES YOUR DIRECT AND VALUABLE NOT WISHY WASHY ANSWERS. I THINK I WON;T GET THIS PRODUCT AGAIN.

great with one exception
This program is awesome if you would quit trying to sell me things while I am trying to get my taxes done. It is irritating. Let me purchase the product and service I need without being inundated with purchasing other services and products I do not want.

It is expensive considering that there are cheaper and also free online filing software. I'm probably going to investigate those next year because my return is rather basic.

Saving tax file
This was my first time using your s/w. Somehow I managed to Netfile and save a pdf copy of the return BUT managed to not save a copy of the netfiled file. You'd think that the s/w would automatically save a copy of the filed version at every step of data entry or similar. So I have a "copy" pdf and netfiled but have NO actual data file of what was netfiled. Should not be allowed to happen. Not impressed.

When using quick steps and trying to put in my RRSP contributions, Turbo Tax would not let me and just kept returning to the completed RRSP screen. I had to go to the manual form to enter the contribution amount.
Found new format a little more confusing than previous editions.

Disappointed
Not sure I will be using this next year. I have used Turbo Tax for about 7 years now and loved it, however this year it seems not so user friendly and almost as complicated as doing a paper return!! Why????? Please keep it simple!

Script error was annoying
The script error I was getting on every page was frustrating and annoying. Not only after I had googled the problem did I find out that I needed to disable the Live Community sidebar to get rid of this annoying error message. That is one thing YOU MUST FIX for future iterations. And don't claim on your support page that it has been fixed because it hasn't been!

Not the best version i've used.
In years past entering T slips was easy, they were all listed, you just pick the one you need. Could not find where to enter T5 slips, frustrating! Also in the provincial section, couldn't find where to enter northern living allowance, again very frustrating!.

far from it
entry using the easy steps method continually blocked by error message "wrong format, improper entry.."Had to make entries using the forms pages plus help to get info onto the easy step method. error signs should take to the actual error. this program is far from intuitive. I've had the same problem each of the last 3 years with this program. The only thing keeping me coming back is that I finally get through it. BUT, the transferto the net file program was great.and worked smoothly

Desktop application for MAC's please!
2013 installation was a painful but after a few days of fighting with support page suggestions finally it ran! Please make a MAC desktop application, not a fan of online . . . for those in the Northern connections can been unreliable and data usage fees can add up!

It's OK
Generally OK, the step by step it goes through doesn't leave you with the "warm and fuzzy" feeling that everything was done right at the end of the day. It often lists credits but doesn't tell you what they are, or give you any information about eligibility requirements. So "advanced tuition fee credit" may or may not apply to me.
Program also lacks explanations where I feel some should be. For example; I had 2000$ in medical expenses to claim, the program told me I shouldn't claim them but instead save them for next year.
However; my tuition information automatically forwards to next year, why doesn't my medical expenses. Can I carry these bills forwards for multiple years, or do I have to claim them either this year or next year?
Just the way this program runs I have that so-so feeling that I will actually be able to claim those expenses next year.

Fonts
The fonts for various instructions this year are very small unlike last year when they were fine. I had to use a magnifier for much of the process. My computer and monitor are the same as last year.

No mention of student loan payback in step by step
In U File I was easily able to go to form 4A with not as much difficulty.
Moving from actual pages on regular income tax form was easier on U File.

Fast & Easy but with upselling
Fast and Easy tax prep software, been using it for years. Appreciate the hints and reminders.
Don't like the upselling, adds and attempts to change my browsers default search engine.
Love how easy Netfile is with the latest version of Turbotax.

Turbo Tax Standard
Program is good but this year for some reason it is making my PC crash everytime I try to open a return - worked around as did not leave myself enough time to check out problem before filing. Will be doing earlier next year

Not quite as easy as I'd hoped.
This program was not quite as easy as I had hoped it would be. I spent a little more on this than on the other program that I had used in the past in hopes that it would be a tad bit easier to navigate, but unfortunately it was about the same.

Not as good as last year
I filled in the same basic data as last year but this year the software had an issue with netfiling saying I couldn't because my dependants had no income. It was the same last year so I had to redo the return and then it was fine to netfile.

Seen better from Turbo Tax
I used "Easy Step" to enterr information for myself and spouse but found I had trouble moving back and forth between both of us unless it was programmed by Turbo Tax. I had trouble entering investment loss for my spouse and when I did enter the information your program ignored it. On final review, your program flagged it as a warning. I clicked and entered the data as stated in for Capital Loss but it was again ignored and I didn't find out until I filed. For some reason, I could not jump between both returns. Your programmers should allow for individuals to enter a Capital Loss to offset Capital Gains especially if you flag it. Not your best product this year. It may work well for those who have no investment capital but a straight forward income. Don't recommend buying your more pricey Turbo Tax as the Standard should be sufficient.
