USEFULL BUT HARD TO READ
I found this product usefull, but oten difficult to read the small print on the screen. They need to address this for those of use with less than perfect vision. Other than that product is very easy to use

problems with Netfiling
I did several returns with this program and almost all would not netfile. Told it was due to an unacceptable symbol (or ampersand) in the name and address section. There was nothing unusual in this section on any of them, but it refused to netfile them and they had to be printed. This is the first time this has happened.

Netfile Needs Improvement
Program opens many windows. I don't see why this is necessary. This is an old complaint.
When trying to Netfile for two people, the Review process is unclear. It appeared to be in a loop, but I eventually realized it was going through it for each person.
An error was picked up during Netfile that should have been picked up during Review.

I'll try something different next year
It's always a bit of a drudgery giong thru the Easy step procedure, I will test a filling using the forms method maybe that will help somehow.
I find it so boring, it's a repeat every year to the same questios why can you simply use what we have inputed before and just edit parts that have changed

Internet connections
Turbotax wants an internet connection just to start the process of creation of the NETFILE tax file. I had to connect my internet, then disconnect it and still the software wanted to connect for 3 minutes before letting me specify the filename of the tax file. I don't like this. What if we want to do our taxes from a secure computer (no internet) and then file it from another? This is the only safe way to do things. Years ago I did a packet capture when I sent my taxes and noticed it was routed via the U.S Defence Intelligence Agency. In the past almost 10 years this has not been a problem but it shows you can never be too careful. Last year the software didn't have this problem. Who added this "feature"? If it continues to show up in future years, I will be using different software.

Sign up for Quebec's "Secure Account"waisted time
Turbo Tax seemed to force me to go through sign up for Quebec Secure Account program which was a serious waist of time for me with only a few forms and a little bit of information to enter. Could not find means to bypass for individual entry of info which cost me four hours to wasted time.

Continuing frustration
Once again I said that my wife (with the higher income) had Charitable Donations to declare, once again TurboTax said that it was attributing the donations to me "...by default...", once again TurboTax optimized the deductions by transferring them to my wife's form and then telling me how much money it had saved me. Whoopee!

Good But Not Great
Mostly easy to use but got stuck in the medical expenses section in some weird loop; couldn't find a way to file total expenses although it said we could, so we had to compromise. Not sure if this was correct, or not. Several times ran into duplicate review questions which had already been asked and answered several times, which was annoying! This is the fourth or fifth year using this program and it seemed more difficult this year than in the past and the instructions didn't seem as clear. The audit defense is a nice concept but not everyone has a credit card to use to pay for the service, so it is frustrating. Also, why should an additional payment be required for the audit defense when it is for a tax return under $25,000?

Still Expecting More
For the price, really expecting Intuit to start offering some value and intuitive actions. All it does is organize how you enter your info and nothing else as you have to constantly look stuff up. You'd think they'd learn from all of the questions people ask and adapt the software to make it more user friendly. People buy this hoping it will help them out, but you still end up spending 2 hours filing and not getting any bigger a return.

this is the first tax software I have used so don't really have anything to compare it to. I thought it would be a little easier to navigate, ie. when i wanted to go back to check amounts claimed and deductions etc, it took so long as I had to go through the entire section. I wish on the summary that it would have given a breakdown of the non-refundable credits, rather than the total amounts so i could check the individual amounts claimed for accuracy (like the print out at the end). But...that just may have been me, there is hopefully an easier way...

Help on RRSP contributions
I initially incorrectly clicked done with RRSP contribution and then had lots of trouble finding the simple RRSP contributions page. The search kept taking me to the wizard and then skipping the entry screen and going directly to summary. I had to go to forms mode to find it. The help should be modified to take us to the beginning on the RRSp section.
Otherwise a pretty good experience

I was disappointed with one aspect of the program. It kept saying that I had applied for medical deductions when I had not. It was very frustrating and I couldn't get it to clear for my husband's return.

This Year's Version
I found this year's version of TurboTax to be more complicated and harder to use than in past years. I didn't like the window at the side of the screen always prompting me to ask questions online and I didn't like the way it didn't go directly to the way I had to save the file for Netfile. I much preferred past versions.

I found working on the first return a little time consuming until I was more familiar with the format and icons to look for items.
I would also like to see the typeset a little larger and darker as I found it hard to read.
I found the NETFILE demonstration did not connect to the Intuit site at all but I was able to Netfile just following the screen instructions. Now that I have completed my return & the spousal one I will be able to work a lot faster on the other family returns I prepare.

Easy File
While this is an easy way to file basic income tax returns, note that if you have anonomilies such as RRSPs from previous years that are not claimed, this program does not identify that and you may want to have a review from a tax expert to ensure you receive all of your entitled deductions

Frustration
My donations showed up in two locations hence was twice as high as should have been. Your "help" was not helpful. I was not allowed to double click to change an entry as I was told to do. Hence the wrong amount was continued through to the end of my forms. FRUSTRATION! I prefer the software that Turbo Tax bought out.

Ok but not great
I have a disability and caregiver claim. It was difficult to find and set all the separate times and places I needed to make the correct claims. Of course this makes me ineligible for e-filing, so I have to print my return. My wife has no net income, but is also not eligible to e-file. I have to print her entire 28 page nil return.
I haven't figured out how to print selected forms yet. Last year it was easy. Ya got some deal with ink.
