Turbotax Gone mad
I bought TurboTax for over 10 years without a problem, since 2000.bought TurboTax 2019 and got it home went to install it and found I now needed Windows 10 only had Windows 7 ,put a pandemic in there and every thing was closed and could not get a computer till later .loaded TurboTax and found it harder to use when entering mine and my spouses information together ,found it harder to correct mistakes if you had to go back, also had trouble inputting the T3 forms , no problem in other years at all. could not enter the care giver information or Disability tax credit amount.

this program suggests fixes to the return after you've finished entering all the data via the instructions provided. These fixes change the return entirely and should have been prompted into the easy step as well explained choices while creating the return.

better in the past
I found the code buggy this year. In past years, downloading from the cra was flawless...in each of 3 returns done I had to delete the version and restart as downloaded cra forms were not loaded completely or were duplicated.

Could be a lot better
Slow, clunky, non-intuitive, often jumps to a different section, WAY too much whitespace. How many times do you need to click the same button to move on.

Frustrations
First time user of this product. As an experienced tax preparer, it was frustrating not to be able to edit the forms easily. Experienced difficulty with Canada Working Tax Benefit being applied even though didn't qualify. Couldn't find good answer in forums - solutions didn't work and couldn't get connected live.

Worst Year with this Software
I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years now and always found it very easy to use but this year I encountered a problem that took me hours to figure out how to fix. The Help file is practically useless and it was very frustrating to say the least. I will not be buying this software again.

It is awkward to use an well behind the current business software. Filling in receipt forms should have a copy paste function. I would be great if pastes from Excel were possible for receipts for medical expenses. Also the CRA download function did not work for me and froze several time. And there was hang up and I had to got to new return after the hang up but then had difficult loading the personal information to the current return.

Works ok, but still lots of bugs
For the amount of money they charge and the years they have been doing this. You would think that they would have this program running right. But NO this program is still full of bugs and it is like they write a new program for every year instead of building on a good thing

CONFUSING DOWNLOAD OF Slips
When I attempted to download my information slips, the Government slips listed the amounts, but my other slips showed values as the detail level, but they did not show any values at the summary level. I could NOT get the software to print the detailed slips. As a result, I copied the information to pen and paper. At a later step, it actually filled the information in.
I spent over 2 hours doing internet searches for a solution to the problem. THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME.

gets worse every year

Difficult

Not so convinced
I had 3 chalenges - I had to switch to Windows 10 (1) on my wifes laptop (2) plus the current version of the software (3).
I found that I had difficulty with the flow of the process and trying to move back and forth thru the required selection of data to be entered and the entry of the actual data.
I was frustrated at times.
The only reward was at the end of the process, I got money back from four tax returns - Fed & Que for my wife and I.
Good things come to those who wait (or persevere)!

Once data is entered the only way to review is to go into the summary page & edit. entry of "In Kind" charitable donations is very difficult. Unclear regarding entry of sale of same on Schedule 3. Had to search for T1170 on forms. Entered capital loss carry back on easy step and then could not find it again to make adjustments. Had to go through the search function on the forms again. Easy step was not a easy as it was in past years.

good for very simple files
There is a problem with how TurboTax enters T4A information. When I clicked yes for T4A, my self-employment income was entered under Business income. My T2125 is Professional Income. Turbotax entered it twice! There seemed to be no work-around. Needs fixing.

I needed help from Turbo and couldn't log on to site. After various times over 3 days, trying everything (incl changing password) I gave up!

No real improvements in ten years
I am truly disappointed with Turbo Tax. The input for T5's T3's and especially T5013's is very cumbersome. Why can't the input be in numerical order and why enter data that is not necessary. The fact that Turbo Tax WILL NOT accept more than three entries which results in having to file a paper copy is pathetic.

Very difficult to install
Having used this software for the past 10 years, this year was extremely challenging to install since they removed Windows 7 support. I will not use this product again, since I will not be forced to update Windows simply for Turbotax. Most other software I used and install is still compatible with Windows7. The IT team made a mistake and have lost a longtime customer.

Frustrating
This works not bad if you have nothing out of the ordinary - in that case why pay for this?? Errors - error clearing does NOT work, cannot determine where the errors are..... Difficulty with sale of primary residence and Northern Travel allowance etc. And the help function is also useless. Very disappointed.

Lot of Errors
50% times I try to save are getting errors TT600, TT604, etc.
Need to close Torbotax and open again.
I assume, if such errors in the program, same could heppen in forms too.
Not Satisfied.
