For NB Schedule 11 the Turbo Tax program has an error for claiming university tuition. They are well aware. After two weeks and a few calls I had to print the return and mail it. Not impressed.

Too many ads!
The base software will get the job done, and it lets you jump between easysteps and forms. However, this software is FULL OF ADS! You cannot go through a full return without having the software constantly tell you that you should buy the more expensive software. This is distracting, and makes doing taxes even more unpleasant.

Again this year this product has given me grief. I have been a tax specialist for over 25 years so always use forms. For some unknown reason after this tax return was filed, when I have tried to open it again to save to a flash drive it insists on repeatedly going thru easy step and then will not open the tax return. A serious case in frustration!

several errors
Importing T slips from CRA & Rev Quebec created serious errors by ignoring all provincial taxes already paid, resulting in a tax bill of over $17,000!!! Had to manually re-enter all my T slips. Software also created a phantom T4 slip (to match an RL-1) on a benefit only taxable in Quebec, resulting in a double deduction claim of past service contributions. Then there was a mysterious 1440$ RRSP deduction, which took a good hour to remove. I haven't made RRSP investments in over 5 years. Very frustrating. Sorry, but I'll be looking for alternative software for 2020 tax year.

Disappointed in this years edition
Right off the bat I had trouble with registration in spite of the fact I selected Canada for Country when trying to select province it only listed regions in UK and the only selection available other than UK regions was not applicable. Of course it gave me an error when I completed everything else and then actually listed the provinces.
Then I couldn't import my profile from last years return (done with TT2018) finally when I imported the slips from CRA it gave me zero values on all slips, I then checked the slips online at CRA and they were all correct on the CRA website. I have been using TTax for years but not sure about next year.

Very confusing at best. Maybe people that have taken accounting courses in income tax might comprehend better.
I don't really blame Turbo Tax for this, but I definitely do lay the complete blame on a greedy federal government that will take every opportunity possible to squeeze every lower or middle class citizen out of the very food they can put on they're families tables.

Not to happy this year
I have used your product for several years. have always been satisfied with the results and the ease of use. This year I am very annoyed with how you keep pushing your other services and made me feel like I just haven't paid enough to actually get the elp I needed. I will be going back to having my taxes done by others instead of paying more!!!

TurboTax crashes retrieving Quebec slips
TurboTax standard crashes if I retrieve both Federal and Quebec slips. I had to manually enter the Quebec slips to complete my return. Unacceptable bug.

More Time Wasted with Turbo Tax
Another year of Turbo Tax not doing basic functions. Made the mistake of buying Turbo Tax online last year and fought with it. Went back to the CD version but could not forward prior year returns.
What a waste. Had to recreate the returns and all of the carry forward balances.

2019 TurboTax CD version, full of bugs
The CD version was unable to roll forward 2018 returns, because itemized lists (F7 feature) were used. The CD version crashed on conversion. Intuit help was useless and did not find a solution -- I discovered the solution myself after dozens of hours. If an itemized list was used in the 2019 return, TurboTax crashed and destroyed the return. Since TurboTax no longer backs up the file when opening an in-progress return, I had to start over. A very poor effort this year, Intuit!

I've been using TurboTax for at least 5 years. It is getting more complex, but much less user friendly. Hard to navigate, hard to get additional information, no ability to compare different scenarios. Overall: helpful, but still too much for too little

confusion

Same old problem with T1135
For several years now, Turbo Tax does not allow more than three countries to be entered in this form unless you use the "online version". Why can't you fix this??? We pay the same amount for the CD version as the online version.

Not what I hoped for.
I tried TurboTax hoping for a better experience with Capital Assets. There was not enough room to add all purchases for 2019. I found the Interview portion difficult to find where I needed to review or change information. Mandatory Inventory Adjustments should allow 70 to 100 percent, not just 70%. Have a great day!

Code #2409 Stopped Netfile
I was unable to Netfile my fathers income tax due to this code related to my mothers spousal income entered on line 62140. She had died this past November so I had to decouple her from my Dads for joint filing. It seemed the amount was too low and resulted in a zero balance which was not allowed to be NETFILED. According to what I understood only my mothers had to manually printed and mailed as her "final" return but this is not the case. My fathers has to be too, or there is an issue with the software not working now. 2409 was introduced this year. So I think this is a bug in the software or Netfile receipt. A call to the support center resulted in my getting someone totally unintelligible, a garbled connection, bad headset, accent ... I'm not sure what the reason but I couldn't understand her at all. I've used this product for many years never had an issue but this time you let me down.

Data Entry using Forms method not complete
I like to use the forms method for entering T slip information. Unfortunately, this method could not be used when entering data on disposal of a principal residence (principal residence designation) or for entering negative date on T3 (Box 42). I had to revert to Easy Step method to enter the data.

Update Error

Started off bad, but got better
The CD that I received could not provide updates, but I had to work through installing and trying to update which wasted over an hour of my time, until I determined I had to download a copy from the website in order to get the most up to date version for 2019. Very frustrating to have to go through this. If it isn't already painful to do income taxes, to start off this way left a bad taste in my mouth.

errors
