Annoying Software
We purchased the standard edition, and wouldn't you know it, as we're filling out our forms, we get asked to upgrade the premier edition for an additional 40$ multiple times.

Still confusing
I still find it confusing for just a few pieces of paper. They ask you things but do not explain the pros or cons on what they are asking. I'm not even sure if its fully submitted.

Still as confusing as ever
I've been using Turbo Tax for years and never bothered to change because of the ability to import prior year info. Every year I find the "help" info to be unhelpful and cryptic. The warning messages prior to Netfile are also irrelevant (e.g., I haven't sold my principal residence but got a warning message anyway).

Disappointed
This software seems to be less intuitive and more generic as the years go by. Parts of the easy step method do not reflect the answers to the questions answered. For example the disability question still invokes the form when you answer "no". Just one of many annoying oversites in the program

Nothing but problems
I've used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years and this was the worst ever experience this year. I had to reinstall the program several times for it to work proper....but I finally got it done!
So I guess it wasn't all that bad, but i just wanted to tell someone...

standards slipping
the 2018 turbot tax when tied in to the cra data pulled all information and was great. For some reason the 2019 only found banking interest earned. It missed all sources of income including cra registered investments.
Also I receive notices about upgrading my purchase after every form was completed. 2019 made me want to go back to paper filing.

stop pushing extra purchases
I hate when I am doing taxes and you continually push to sell the extras. I don't want consults or anyone to check my work. Stop the selling just let me do my work. grrrrrr

I found this years Turbo Tax not user friendly. I have been using it for over 5 years and this year the line number have changed format and trying to reconcile with last years values was a nightmare

Not as useful
The quality of TurboTax seems to be declining each year, with important features not working properly. For example the Medical Expense and Charitable Donations optimizers - these are non-refundable credits and shouldn't necessarily go to the lowest income spouse when there are no tax payments to refund.

Nine weeks into the tax season,and I still can not print or Netfile my return due to the TT805 error. I am unable to update my Turbotax and have not been able to find anyone at Intuit able to help with the problem. I had previously found Turbotax to be a quality product.

Errors creeping into TurboTax
Errors are creeping in through the years, and TT does not seem to want to address them. Examples include:
1. In 2019, the Disability Tax Credit form does not calculate the required amounts.
2. The dependents form does not work with only one dependent unless you indicate "yes" a second dependent is living with you.
3. The federal portion of caregiver (medical plus nursing home) expenses for Ontario residents is not limited as the software indicates when the disability tax credit is claimed for a dependent. This has been verified with CRA, and I have refiled 10 years of returns to properly claim thousands of dollars, and have received these refunds. I have spoken with T.Tax, and they refuse to acknowledge that there is anything wrong with their software.
4. Other bugs are more minor, but surprising they still exist.
2019 is the last year I will use this buggy software.

You need a lot of patience
Why not a Table where you fill in the info, it auto populates, then you go through to check. Took hours to sort thru double entries that increased my income

Terrible Year for TurboTax
Been using TurboTax for over 10 years now. No issues with download or update previous years. This year, bought the disc. Disc would not update, gave error codes. Deleted and went to website to download, still had errors. Deleted VirusScan software in case it was blocking. Now still cannot etransfer to CRA. Terrible year for TurboTax.

Frustrated
I was frustrated because there were 2 errors in the process of doing my husbands return. I imported the documents from CRA and they did not show one of his slips for superannuation in the totals and also at the beginning I input that he had paid money by installments and that did not record either in the filing. I had to go back and fix everything.

WEIRD WARNINGS
The warning were telling me, I had said yes to disability, but I hadn't, also it said I owned foreign property, but I said no to that questions.
I think turbo tax programmers are using errors like this to have us second guess ourselves so we opt in for the audit defence.
I am not pleased with this year program.

Its wonderful if there are no problems. I couldn't netfile and the solutions didn't help. Pretty sure Turbo Tax wont pay the postage for a return that I should be able to netfile. not impressed.

getting worse
Updates became a problem last year, but this year is much worse. Update attempts have resulted in the same (TT800 series) error every single time, and I can see that it is too common an occurrence - not just me. This is a sad change for a product I've relied on for decades.

Program crashed
Program crashed during my filing, and did not file my return, sat on hold for hours trying to get through, all of your online FAQs didn't help re-load my saved data, it was a run around of epic proportions - your help file says to follow instructions that are not even applicable to the software you've sold, terrible version, going to back to an accountant for 2019 taxes because this program was a huge waste of my time this year - last 2 years were fine, this year was a nightmare
